Skulls definitely showed she is one of the most level headed members of the community when she talked about the Nijisanji stuff. We need more people like her and her husband Krono to get people to take a breather and think. Fortunately, I am able to see things from other viewpoints aside from my own, and determine if they're reasonable. Or at least see where someone is coming from. I do hope that a good collab will be coming that I can throw my full support behind. I do have good memories of watching Ruroni Kenshin back in the Toonami Weekdays times, but not enough to be anything more than neutral to "Huh, that's neat" on it. I was honestly unaware of the cheese pizza thing, as I don't follow the people behind anime and manga closely if I don't have enough of an interest in it. (DBZ is about the only one where I have a decent knowledge of Akira Toriyama for better and worse. At least he doesn't have anything despicable to my knowledge surrounding him.) At any rate, I was likely to pass on the collab anyways, so no real loss or gain there, but hey, if anyone can divorce their association with a guy who needs help and the franchise he created and they want to support said franchise or collab with it, let them have it. If you do boycott this one for that reason, make some noise on the official channels on why you're doing so without antagonizing anyone. We know Sega is listening, so they will hear it and hopefully get it, along with supporting collabs that have no despicable issues with them to reinforce that we want collabs.
Critical thinking really is a lost art. It can be very hard to sort through all the hair on fire hysteria. . I vaguely remember seeing something about the incident around the time it happened, but completely forgot about it like most people until the other day. I sincerely hope that Mr. Watsuki is receiving the help that he needs, because it is a real mental disorder.
There's also people that just don't even know of the controversy, I was aware of the shows existence for a long time, did not know anything about it, I only heard the controversy after the remake was announced.
So there may be players like me that just generally do not know, as not everyone keeps up to date with stuff

I know that not everyone can do this and I can't force everyone to do it either, but separating the work from the author is very important in these cases, even though I'm aware that the author of rurouni kenshin is shit, I just I can't help but like a work that marked my childhood and I've heard from people that the series is simply bad or that it doesn't deserve to be recognized just because of a shitty author, it's sad to say the least... In this type of case I like it to think that there are other people besides the author working on the work, which in fact is there and it is because of them that I consume this, but in the end it was just a rant, it was great of you to bring this up when a lot of people don't even know about the existence of this case and I'm sorry English is bad, I'm not fluent and I'm still learning :D
You write better than some people who have been speaking English their whole lives! We can only hope that he has repented of this behavior and receives the help he needs. There are some sins that are seen as unforgivable in the eyes of the public. Thanks for watching!

Liking a respecting someone's creation does not condone/condemn everything they have said and done in their life and no one has the time to do a background check on everything they consume. This "vindictive justice" targeted at a person's work, for a crime he was already punished for (even if insufficient by western standards). Do we let people seek help or they can never redeem themselves, exist in society or have any hope of rehabilitation from this seriously evil brain/morality malfunction.
I've known of Ruroni Kenshin, and have heard *nothing* about this controversy until yesterday from an alliance member, and was only reminded about it from this video after it went through one ear and out the other. I'll say before and I'll say it again here. Could SEGA have known or not known about this, like Nijisanji? Maybe, maybe not. So why are they doing it? Contractual obligation. Could they break it because of this? Maybe, but if I were SEGA, that is a headache I'd rather avoid because there are some serious legal ramifications for breaking contracts. Anyone who's had to sign one knows this.
The Nijisanji collab? Couldn't careless, there was 1 outerwear I wanted so I just bought it on the market, moved on. Ruroni Kenshin? Don't really care for it either. I still would like to see more sci-fi outfits. If you want my selfish opinion on this? Give me a fucking Punishing Gray Raven collab. The amount of cosmetics can and would *EASILY* fit in PSO2/NGS.
As for the protest, I'll quote Asmongold on this. Every protest is just a 3-4 minute cinematic trailer from being over.

Last I knew, the author no longer actually owns the rights to the Ruroni Kenshin series. Granted, that information is secondhand, but I'd assume that if there wasn't some truth to it, I highly doubt this collaboration would've happened.
Some people are going to associate Watsuki with Kenshin no matter what though. It is what it is.
Its truly weird that we get it as Collab but hey i think as long as it's a franchise about a Samurai instead of something related to Cheese Pizza or Younger characters, it should be fine. The show itself have been a classic for the longest time and it is what it is. I guess SEGA is just collabing with Recent stuff.
I know people have been wanting Demon Slayer for a while but they probably can't get the rights for it.

I used to love this anime when I was around 11-12 years, and just now hearing about the author is into "Cheese Pizza" really stings.
I'll still be around the collab, but yeah. I feel like Sega wasnt aware about the author, but they cant do anything about it, since alot of work has been put into these collabs.

Like, I wanna say keep it civil and what have you…..but let’s be real here. Ship one has a “me” issue in most of the blocks. Someone’s going to open the floodgates eventually.
I imagine 99% of people will have forgotten by the time this thing rolls out.
I won't be buying AC for a LOOOONG time. I really don't like what Sega has been doing lately. I want them to do better, and the best way to push a company to do better is to not give them money. I wanted to make more characters, but this stings. I love Sega, and seeing these tough moments makes me frustrated.
Yeah I totally hear that. As someone who has poured their heart and soul into this game for the past 4 years and even longer than that with this franchise, it infuriates me to see it in its current state.
@@Zeomantic Yeah, I have a lot of gripes with current PSO2. One of these issues isn't Sega's fault. Classic PSO2's community has gone sour. You'd expect them to be similar to Ephinea, joining people just because they want to help, and make the experience less lonely, but instead people refuse to join you unless you are on either XH or UH difficulty. I had no one joining me, even thought I had tons of "friends". They told me they refuse to play anything below UH. Ok? I used to join people just to show them around, and introduce them to all the useful mechanics after learning from Ephinea's community. I wanted to make people as comfortable as possible, but I failed because the rest of the community was either focused on pushing meta builds onto everyone, or they would brush them off because they weren't going to be playing UH cradle, but instead Bewitched Woods. More and more people kept leaving until only like 60 or so people could be found at any given time. The funny part is that people say NGS is dead, but classic was already killed by sweats. I miss pre-NGS classic. People were more chill then.
@beanmchocolate3900 I played on Ephinea for a bit, and it was crazy to see people falling over themselves to assist those who were new to the game. There were even a few folks that never even played PSO when retail was active. Always nice to see that kindness being paid forward. As for the sweat thing, that seems to be an issue in just about every game like this. I always felt the "meta" thing was silly because it doesn't make someone a good player.

They want to drive the game into shutting down with the delusion of doing it Sega might make pso3.
I play enough of these games to know a company will bury an ip before investing in it. And just like paladins, pso is on a death spiral where new players aren't welcome because they make a uq last 7 minutes instead of 5 and old players are leaving due to the lack of interest.
og's are leaving not cause lack of interest, but cause lack of meaningful variety and actually fun content. There is not much fun content, namely 3 quests, 2 of which are super-sweaty, tryhard quests and third one being leciel. Also lack of ways to make meseta and generally how playerbase is getting shafted by sega cuz, idk they hate their players or something.
For me saving grace is creative spaces, i basically do only dailies and then do commission creative space builds for meseta. God as my witness i will not farm pse for hours on end for pennies. They're easily the most punishing content in game, an actual waste of time that doesn't reward you, and instead feels like a punishment. And by this point most are tired from leciel, it's good but... i'm tired from leciel, and not just me, seeing as on some days i have to wait upwards to 30 minutes in que just to do the daily task.
Nice little meseta hustle there. But yeah creative spaces were a major boon to the game's social aspect.
@@TheKsenpai : Even with the new addition, I find combat sectors just aren't good as grind content, since they're so inconsistent. An area like Rayjord Gorge, as it is now, is a lot more fun to me, since you're bouncing off multiple major targets with their own chances to dropping decent stuff, along with steady material gains the whole time, while Dryverus might take as long as an hour to randomly show up and still drop nothing if you kill it.
Watsuki still continued to work on Ruoni Kenshin after the the arrest and is still paid for the manga sales and licensing of the IP. The money that we past fans provided him was used to purchase massive amounts of cheese pizza, which incentived producers of this material to continue the suffering and traumatization of children in order to provide him with more. People always say "You have to seperate the art from the artist", but how can you do that when he's still being paid and has opportunities to continue his old ways with the money he makes from our support of the IP? I will not be complicit in the abuse of children.
Yeah the man still gets a paycheck. The entire adult entertainment "industry" is built on some very bad things.
i boycotted sega for the handling of ngs. maybe they should slap a MAture rating and give the weebs what they really want.
I believe it already is M-rated. I do agree with the sentiment that NGS could've been handled better in many areas. Thanks for watching.
