When cameron cracked codex shredder for rift, letting lua go to combat at all is super risky if the attacks are declared and winota is on the stack, you have to either rift before they resolve or risk a grand abolisher coming down and just ending the game
yoo thats awesome that you made playlists for each commander! Sometimes I just want to see a certain commander being played before I commit to buying the cards so this is helpful!
Sees a 21 min Play to Win video, well sheeeeet that must have been like a two and a half hour game irl with the editing y’all do to keep the games concise!
LUA! I’ve never played against a Winona deck and that’s a crazy card, but once Dylan got the Tainted Pact off, I’m pretty sure that was the beginning of the end. Nice game. Very interesting for a casual player like me.
Keeping track of things that may have had impact, Tyler casted a dispel after the rule of law had resolved and he previously had casted cic rift, ending up in Cam using his fierce guardianship, loosing it to interact later
I'm not sure but I think Lua could have sacrificed the Ranger Captain on the turn when she got kiki/conscripts. That way the big cyc rift couldn't happen.
In our playgroup we call that c rift tutor a rattlesnake effect. Maybe not exactly what a rattlesnake is, but basically "don't fuck with me" kind of effect.
You guys are my favorite EDH channel on youtube! I know it's not a common theme but, you guys think you could make a CEDH groups slug deck? if anything it'd be funny to see people worry about their life totals for once.
The urza should have been exiled and presumably sent back to your command zone after Tyler died. There was no "control" effect in place (i.e. for as long as you X remains tapped, or until end of turn, or for as long as you control X), gilded Drake just says you control it, so when Tyler dies, it does not go back to you, rather it exiles.
All control changing effects are continuous effects, even if they're created by spells or activated or triggered abilities. They apply in layer 2. (613.1b) And they end when the player they're giving control to leaves the game. (800.4a)
Not sure if it there was a comment earlier but ROL would have prevented Tyler's Dispel targeting Swords to Plowshare on the frog. He already cast Cyclonic earlier. I think it matters.
Fun game but a few things to keep in mind: when resolving the rhystic study triggers earlier in the game Dylan’s would have been added after Cam’s but resolved first- could matter for follow up responses. When Tyler died Urza should have been exiled rather than going back to Cams battlefield.
Bruh seeing Tyler run back to talk about the chain of vapor has to be the funniest thing I've seen in mtg this year. Also, Dylan that Tymna the Weaver is hype! Where'd you get that proxy man??? I need one! XD
That pyro on a dead fish was interesting. Winota, farm, and grolnok are all creature forward decks. Holding pyro blast against 3 blue opponents seems much better. This is a classic reactive move that wastes resources and offers opponents free wins. There is very little room for value plays in cedh. Plus your other two opponents might even let you counter rift ...
Back to the discussion on value plays. Seems odd to have wasted the path on grolnok when winota cheats board state through the rule of law. Also, Tyler had hermit druid in hand
Man, this was a fast as hell game by EDH standards but it still felt agonizingly long. Cant tell if it was due to bad draws, stax or the two psych rifts.
Im....obsessed with you two..... I cant deal with it. Either of you wanna get married? Thanks for the content and the fantastic personality for the channel.
Just curious, but when Tyler cast dispel to protect his Grolnok, wouldn't that be his second spell because of rift? Not that it really matters, because that gets countered anyway.
I'm so naming my Tymna-kraum list "green is overrated" :P in all seriousness, I think I'm revamping my Winota list to be more stax. I was gonna take it apart, but I'm not sure what Boros commander to go for, Ardenn-Bruse tarl maybe? o_O
Question!? : in response to codex shredder activation she could have just activated ranger captain and won right ? 🤔 great game though keep up that amazing content!
I really like Lua, she's very nice AND seems like, she also really likes Dylan. Maybe it's just my opinion, but she should have attacked Dylan more... Blue Farm is one of the strongest decks in cEDH and the deck converts life in value.
I think had Lua not sac'd her Ranger Captain and waited for her turn she would've won. When Cam got back his Cyclonic Rift she could've Sac'd Ranger Captain at that time. Cyclonic Rift would go to his hand but he wouldn't be able to cast it. I don't see what could've ended the game in one spell with Rule of Law in play that she needed to Ranger Captain on his turn.
Thanks for having me guys! Such a fun bunch to play with 🥰 Your channel was my intro to cedh so I’m stoked to be here!
That’s so sick. Thanks so much for playing with us! We’ll definitely have to do it again sometime
You were a really fun guest!
Lua is everywhere now and I love it!
I have been on Winota for over a year at this point. Glad to see another player! Are you on the discord?
@@GrinningFeline here I am!!
Probably the most complete game you could ask for everyone was involved, favorite part was Tyler rushing back to comment on the chain of vapor 😅
"We just wanted to take an intermission because we haven't said anything in a little bit" Cam is hilarious for real
“A good 4 can be better than a mediocre seven.” THAT SHIT IS A QUOTABLE. 💯
Unless you are speaking with the lady 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
LOVE the idea for having playlists for all the different commanders, that's an awesome idea!
As a Winota player I’m glad to see the deck on the channel.
First Rachel Weeks, Then Lynch, now Lua! Winny getting so much love :)
The deck is an absolute monster dude. You're a mad genius brewer 🤜🤛
Might be one of the few games where nobody started with a crypt ring vault opener
Loved the super back and forth game. Everyone got to do there thing and had a chance to win. Super fun to watch!
Dropped everything to watch this, 100% worth it. Great video as always
Lua getting a bunch of love is awesome, she's awesome and is great seeing her pop up all over
Thank you so much 🥺

yoo thats awesome that you made playlists for each commander! Sometimes I just want to see a certain commander being played before I commit to buying the cards so this is helpful!
You guys kill it, deserve more than the 35k subs for sure. Thanks for making those playlists too.
Lua using the sick "tap your permanents widdershins" strat, which works great with the "never draw lands" tactic.
I love the frog as a commander but everyone sees him pop off and kills him on sight in my casual games. Feels frog man
yep: the best form of stax is psychological stax
Well played everyone. A very entertaining game yo watch. I look forward to seeing Lua sling spells with you guys again!
Lua was great, awsome playmat too. Thank you so much for the playlists btw, they are super handy.
Sees a 21 min Play to Win video, well sheeeeet that must have been like a two and a half hour game irl with the editing y’all do to keep the games concise!
Please have Lua back! She seems dope
i went from never hearing lua to seeing her in all the mtg content. thats whats up
LUA! I’ve never played against a Winona deck and that’s a crazy card, but once Dylan got the Tainted Pact off, I’m pretty sure that was the beginning of the end. Nice game. Very interesting for a casual player like me.
That was a great game. Lua fit your playgroup really well!
She could have kept the Captain, then search for Kiki and with the Codex's ability on the stack sac the Ranger to stop Cyclonic Rift from happening.
Well, I wanted to do some chores, but now that I have been told to watch great cEDH gameplay all sunday i will gladlydo that
In our playgroup we call that c rift tutor a rattlesnake effect. Maybe not exactly what a rattlesnake is, but basically "don't fuck with me" kind of effect.
That casually threatened Psych Stax Rift is just ** chef's kiss **
you guys rock and got me into cedh and ive currently got my first kinnana build almost ready
Great content! Helps a lot to have playlists for each commander!
That rain of filth turn was awesome!
Lua sounds kinda like Hayley from American Dad
damn that leap in the final turn saccing all lands to deny draws was ballsy
9:02 - TYLER!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!? YOU CAST CYC RIFT THIS TURN!!! THERE'S A RULE OF LAW IN PLAY!! AHHHHH!!!!!
I can’t believe we are having the “is swords good” debate still in the year of 2022. Play swords.
Always. Play. Swords.
Love the content as always guys! Did want to let you know that when Tyler died, Urza should have been exiled, not returned to Cam.
I was super confused how Urza made it onto the battlefield after Tyler died.
You guys are my favorite EDH channel on youtube! I know it's not a common theme but, you guys think you could make a CEDH groups slug deck? if anything it'd be funny to see people worry about their life totals for once.
Lua got jokes: "Beautiful island." I see you. :)
I absolutely loved this game, and Lua was a treat.
Lua sounds so sweat and nice I love it !
that ending was as sublime as a crescendo peak of a GYBE! track.
The urza should have been exiled and presumably sent back to your command zone after Tyler died. Also his ending explanation of the win was pretty much just "i was sandbagging, I coulda won earlier" lmao
9:15 the rol was in play, so Tyler couldn't have interacted with the Swords unfortunately
Ah shit
Matters a little bit, your counterspells should be in your hand and that's it
Not sure if it there was a comment earlier but ROL would have prevented Tyler's Dispel targeting Swords to Plowshare on the frog. He already cast Cyclonic earlier. I think it matters.

That fucking rain of filth at the end was amazing. Holy shit.
Great game guys! Also, that Rain of Filth... I understand now why its in cEDH,ty. :)
Back and forth game... Lua was so close.. Winota is such a good deck... but she had but luck with the mana... awesome game as usual!
Overload cyclonic rift not once but twice 🥶 poor Lua
Cams laugh 100
Dylans hand movements while talking 100
Didn't realize that I knew who Lua was.... also didn't know she played mtg much less cedh.... learning a lot about her now lul
you guys are legends, amazing selection of decks and great plays
Love the playlists! Thanks guys!
Everyone was threatening a win at different points. Such a fun game!
Bruh seeing Tyler run back to talk about the chain of vapor has to be the funniest thing I've seen in mtg this year. Also, Dylan that Tymna the Weaver is hype! Where'd you get that proxy man??? I need one! XD
Awesome game! Dylan going for the win had me sitting at the edge of my seat
Ayy shoutouts the MLC Kraum and Tymna I use mine every chance I get too
Hey
Can tyler cast dispel @8:58 since theres a rule of law in now and he already cast cycrift? i guess it looks backwards?
Really wanted Winota to win here. That said, it sucks to not have the lands in time.
That conclusion was intense!
Great game! I love winota so this was awesome to watch
When rule of law hit, since Tyler cast cyclonic rift already, he shouldn't be able to cast dispel, since it's the same turn still, right?
ive actually been playing mnemonic betrayal in a lot more of my decks, it adds a lot of redundancy and late game value.
*Me waiting for a sythis deck to pop up on the channel so then I can get ideas* but awesome episode, as per usual :)
How did I miss this?? Added to the list!
7:58 quite a missplay playing enlightened tutor at the endstep and not on mystic remora's resolution, anyway great games!
2 years later, and Cam still knows its Sunday 😅
Fantastic video! I would like to suggest a best enchantress in cEDH video.
Great guest great video!!
Cam you high af in this video 😅 rock on fellas. Great game, super fun to watch
That was so painful to see cam lose that one. Felt like he played his control pieces well and just couldnt hang on
That pyro on a dead fish was interesting. Winota, farm, and grolnok are all creature forward decks. Holding pyro blast against 3 blue opponents seems much better. This is a classic reactive move that wastes resources and offers opponents free wins. There is very little room for value plays in cedh. Wondering why Lua and Tyler did not keep T2 commader hands. These decks both rely on powering out the commander.
Back to the discussion on value plays. Seems odd to have wasted the path on grolnok when winota cheats board state through the rule of law. Also, Tyler had hermit druid in hand
Both intuition plays from Cam and Dylan were incredible. That was solid play. Going to be replaying that in my head for days.
Not to be too harsh about the pyro play, but it also counters oracle.... Great game overall. Loads of fun to watch and analyze. Keep em coming guys!
Loved watching this pod , i wonder if you you guys will ever play at a LGS at some point?
Oooh i just saw lua play with joe an hour ago XD
Oh hey! 👀
Awesome game! But how would have submerge stopped the win at the end there?
Man, this was a fast as hell game by EDH standards but it still felt agonizingly long. Cant tell if it was due to bad draws, stax or the two psych rifts.
Im....obsessed with you two..... I cant deal with it. Either of you wanna get married? Thanks for the content and the fantastic personality for the channel.
there he is!! my frog boi
Joe Johnson somewhere: “Winona Staaaaaxxxxx!”
09:30 Tyler couldnt cast dispel, his spell for turn was cyc rift (if i followed naration correctly)
Can you guys increase the quality to 1080? Thank you
Just curious, but when Tyler cast dispel to protect his Grolnok, wouldn't that be his second spell because of rift? Not that it really matters, because that gets countered anyway.
Bring Lua back!
Lua everywhere lately ( not that I’m complaining) 🤤
I’m happy to do so!!! 🥰 My first filmed CEDH game - so fun!
Does anyone know where Cam gets his procy duals from? I cant find the manywhere online on Etsy etc
Hell of a way to win!
4:25 did anyone else notice he said" Ill go to Kraumbat"????
Slow start…spicy finish! Great game.
Need two tymnas again or blood pod. Love. Those decks
I'm so naming my Tymna-kraum list "green is overrated" :P in all seriousness, I think I'm revamping my Winota list to be more stax. I was gonna take it apart, but I'm not sure what Boros commander to go for, Ardenn-Bruse tarl maybe? o_O
She should sac the ranger eos on her turn
I agree .. now 😂 I was scared Cam would win prior
Was is correct for cam to get Urza back when Tyler died? I thought that Urza would go into exile since Tyler died, then goes back to the command zone.
Yo nice cut, Dylan!
Random comment/question, but on the play to win merch store the play-to-win sleeves come in sets of 100 I'm assuming?
Yes
@@PlaytoWinMTG Thank you!!!
Question!? : in response to codex shredder activation she could have just activated ranger captain and won right ? 🤔 great game though keep up that amazing content!
Quick q about winota when the triggers resolve do you declare attackers as they resolve or all at once at the end of the winota triggers?
Rules wise I'm fairly sure you have to declare where they're attacking as the triggers resolve
