right, so you cast demonic consultation in response to the trigger of Thrassa's oracle. I thought you had to cast it on top of the thoracle for it to resolve as you want, but there is an ETB trigger you can respond to. That makes it easier to understand. see I just watched the command zone's video about rules you get wrong and this thing came up where you cast a spell, then pass priority and no one else does anything, then it gets back to you and the spell resolves before you are allowed to cast anything else. the spell has to resolve, but since Thoracle has a triggered ability, you can cast an instant there and that resolves first, then the trigger and then you win. if it didn't have a triggered ability, you couldn't do this. you would have to cast the consultation first, then the thoracle.
My favorite Deck I own is a Grolnok deck that focuses on combat damage, I just love exile plies and having extra hands. no mill win cons just a lot of fun to play and umbra's are a useful too for keeping him around since he puts them in his frog hand :D
@@magerehenk7579 Jim had an Esper Sentinel in play. If Alex can cast ANY spell, Esper Sentinel could force Jim to draw from an empty library and lose. It wouldn't matter if the spell resolved or if it was even relevant. A Pyretic Ritual would have been able to stop him. Or a Lighting Bolt targeting the Allosaurus Shepherd.
The problem with counting to 11 is that I am bad at math.
On the flip side, if you're extremely bad at math (and your opponents are too), then counting to eleven becomes easy:
One, Two, Seventeen, Eleven!
ten plus 1
You know it's good editing when Lim-Dul's Vault takes less than one minute to resolve haha great game!
Love how all the decks are not tier 0 partner decks that are know to be op, but rather more variety
I am disappointed that despite this "variety" the game was still won by Consult Thoracle.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who uses "Doobly-doo" to describe the description box. That's some old core memories you've just unearthed...

Totally off topic.. but I'm just waiting to see someone break out a drag proxy of Anje.. Miss Vanje 😂
Miss VAAAAANJIE
@@TheSpikeFeeders another reason why I watch y'all ❤️
I'm definitely here for Mr Pinchy and Frogs
Always happy to see the froggo
Mr Pinchy?? Jeez I love you guys
Why cast the Felwar stone? 3 mana is enough for Treasonous Ogre and with 40 life, that can make you enough for Godo+Helm
ogre is actually 4. if he had the fellwar stone the turn earlier, he could've won
🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀 oh boy mr. pinchy is back 🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀
My mom has the Anje precon and we always say it like Anya
I always pronounced it as Anje
Why are there so many illegal decks? Also glad to see gamegenic sponsoring the channel! They make great shit.
ayyy Tivit lets go!
I wanted more pinchy
Love the game. Jimothy the tyrant today😂
Is Bill done with magic?
Yep, he sold off his collection last year. He plays Flesh and Blood now, and you can see him on our other channel!
@@TheSpikeFeeders dang good for him! Haha i walk that line every week or so! that being said, i too need to step back and sell some stuff.
I saw Anje and came running
That was a RISKY play from Jim. If Alex wasn't bluffing and had any playable spell, Jim insta-loses. Sometimes you gotta go for it. Good game!
well he showed the hand he had post game so it clearly wasnt risky with the interaction he had

Didn't see that line. Too bad. Would have been sweet, getting consulters like that is a good feeling. I don't think I had anything for that.
I could have sworn that sentinel was a may, but you're right! that's crazy
On-Yuh
it's pronounced "Kanye".
Wooo, another Thoracle win....
