In this game, The One Ring caused: • 7 Faerie Mastermind triggers • 10 Orcish Bowmaster triggers (7 of which were during a single stack) • 148 cards to be drawn due to its own ability
Tyler continues to be one of the best players I've seen. Never giving up untill he is dead. Dylan and Cam are both amazing too but Tyler is just something else lol. Well played everyone
these are my favorite games. Fights on the stacks, people drawing their whole decks and crazy plays from everyone yet the game ends with some big orc token beating face. This game was chef's kiss. A fantastic game.
This was one of my first videos I seen of play to win and it still is one I go back to watch because it's so intense. Super tight plays, or ways it could have been tighter, and pure gas. This is proper cEDH and shows how and why cEDH is fun and how it should be played.
It's a small thing but around the 20 minute mark, Tyler could not have cracked those treasures due to Myrel's ability shutting off all activated abilities of artifacts
Notably when dylan said if he didnt pact their wouldve been enough orc triggers to kill seedborn, there wouldnt have been, because the swat would have killed bowmaster itself
Everyone is talking about the endurance play to keep Dylan in the game, but the phantasmal image play is the exact same one he could have done with Thassa's oracle, cast it from Cam's dauthi card.
as some one who is pretty new to mtg and commander it makes me feel better about my missplays, to see much smarter and experienced players still make misplays.
With the advent of more One Rings getting played, is haywire mite something more decks may be interested in? 1 mana to cast then 1 to activate, can be creature or artifact tutored, and exiles other things like rhystic, breach, or stax pieces. Idk, just seems like it could be slept on rn.
This is possibly the best game I have seen on this channel, so insane how much back and forth there was in this game and in the end the game was won by combat damage. The One Ring really is the one to rule them all!
Halfway through the vid I had to rewind because I thought I had missed a bunch of Kevon’s turns. Nope was just an insanely long turn cycle 😂, literally thought Kevon had to leave mid game and you three had to carry on with the game! Hilarious What an awesome match! The amount of interaction was sick! We need a part 2 please! 😂
Question to consider for a small topic on the podcast: You guys said colorless ranked 0 in card draw when you talked about all the colors. How much does The One Ring change that? Obviously one card can't make all the difference, but seeing as it's a hell of a card I'm curious what your thoughts would be.
for Dylan maybe this was the line: * Cast Grand Abolisher * Cast Teferi Reveler -> Bounce Metamorph, * Dauthi -> cast Cam Underworld Breach * Make some mana with Lotus Petal from graveyard * Cast Metamorph -> ETB as thOracle -> Tainted Pact from graveyard
What an insane game! I was just playing earlier today and we had 3 rings out at once and a couple of orcish bowmasters and sheoldreds and it was a pretty crazy one
Tyler is....exceptional. wow. It helps that hes piloting a deck hes a veteran with. But it truly shows his knowledge and skill. This show could have been called Tyler and his One Ring. While Cam did WORK. Tyler. Wow
Its absolutely hilarious to think we banned cards because "It warped the game around it as soon as it entered play, just copying and blinking it was good enough" and this kind of game exists. Obviously a bit of an outlier but the fact this entire game was just defined by one card and people were willing to blow 10+ interaction spells to protect a bowmaster :D
To be fair the rules committee doesn't want to ban cards based off of cedh, as dumb as that is so most bans come from how dominanting or feels bad the cards are is casual
@@rgkyu-gi-oh2462 yeah I totally agree. Im not even suggesting the ring has to be banned or anything. Just more of how insane this card is, it absolutely dominates and warps every format its legal in.
Dylan, dont get down on yourself for going deep to counter the deflecting swat. Orcish Bowmaster deals 1 damage to ANY target, including itself. If Cameron's Swat had resolved Bowmasters would kill itself and Seedborne would survive.
There were a few misplay from Tyler though. When he cracked treasures after the Myrel was on the field. I’m pretty sure she shuts that off. And the chrome mox imprint.
This game is ridiculous in th absolute best ways. That being said, don't feel bad about misplaying because whenever so many cards are being played so quickly it's VERY easy to forget what all your options are
For future reference, Myrel prevents all activations of artifacts, creatures and/or enchantments. So you cannot crack treasures in response to a dockside. Not that it made a difference here.
4:50 Couldn't Cam have played the Flusterstorm targetting the Orcish Bowmasters? With two copies it would have needed two counterspells to counter the Flusterstorm because Storm copies on the cast trigger and the Mana drain was the first spell? Or does a spell need to resolve to count for the Storm count? Is there something in those interactions I'm missing?
missing the line and thinking about the game well over a week later while everyone else was just thought "what a fun cool game" and moved on is a wildly relatable feeling
How many "shuffle this card into your Library from your Graveyard" cards SHOULD be in a cEDH deck that doesn't use deck out as a built in win-con? I think at least two... like having Ramp, should that type of effect become more of an option when considering deck building? As long as you aren't in Exile... your Graveyard can always be used and a card going from there to the Library feels like a Cantrip...
Someone might have mentioned this already; The winning line of play from Kevon, I never heard him pay the 2 for Wandering Archaic. He cast an Offer, A mystical Tutor, a chain of vapor, and a vampiric. Maybe it wasn't heard cause editing or something.
7:05 so about deflecting swat and the commentary. Dylan says seat would have been fine, since enough bowmaster triggers are around to kill seedborn... But I'd assume there are 0 bowmaster triggers after the etb kills fhe bowmasters itself. Surprised Cam just took that, considering it was his deflecting swat ( I assume the game is just not fresh in Cam's mind).
In this game, The One Ring caused:
• 7 Faerie Mastermind triggers
• 10 Orcish Bowmaster triggers (7 of which were during a single stack)
• 148 cards to be drawn due to its own ability
i'm assuming this is total, thank you for counting.
How much damage did The One Ring cause to its owners please?
@@RaphaelBriand119
@@PraiseChika I have no idea if these numbers are correct, but I will trust you blindly.

@@Doricus bro right! What happen to him?
I really like Tyler, to be honest. Clean plays, chill player, high level of skill in his deck.
@@Dracomandriuthus absolutely. I like everyone they have on the channel but he is the kind of player I'd like to be.
Tyler is one of the best pilots for sure. PWP has some nasty pilots too.

Yes i see the same
Notably when dylan said if he didnt pact their wouldve been enough orc triggers to kill seedborn, there wouldnt have been, because the swat would have killed bowmaster itself
Dylan, you could have used dauthi to cast the endurance from the dauthi zone to actually do put back your graveyard into your deck as well to not die
Stop stop! Let him move on and begin healing 😔
Or cast phantasmal image or metamorph on thoracle for the win
@@upsettispaghetti_this too! He could’ve done alot with daithi
yelling at the screen when faerie triggers
I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw the Dauthi Endurance line

6:05 TYLER DON’T THINK I DIDN’T NOTICE YOU QUOTING MISSY ELLIOT 🤣🤣🤣 best part of the vid
as some one who is pretty new to mtg and commander it makes me feel better about my missplays, to see much smarter and experienced players still make misplays.
30 minute game? Holy crap. Thank you guys for this. This was amazing to watch 🙏😂
I wonder how long it was in real life
I feel like Dylan could make a 40 minute video angrily discussing his decision making for this game haha. This was excellent
this is why i love this youtube CEDH channel, the "in between" little chats of the happenings.
that was my favourite game of edh in a long time, so much interaction, i love it
“Now he needs to flip that shit, and reverse it.”
Thank you Tyler.
Thank you for always being the other side of the pillow
This was highly entertaining from start to finish, fellas.
This game felt like casual edh for a bit and i loved it
Holy crap this was an insane game. Tyler and Kevon in particular did some amazing things to keep things going.
WHAT A GAME! All Hail Kev! When you BESTIE wins YOU win too! Love you Kev!

It's a good card held back by its colour identity.

The last minute is just classic two friends with brainrot vibes and it warms my soul
I dont want to be that guy, but why did dylan not play the endurance off of dauthy.
Because magic is hard lol
First thing I thought when he was pleading with Tyler to be targeted
Didn’t the dauthi have summoning sickness?
He also could've gotten the Phantasmal Image Cam discarded and won
Magic is really hard 😂
🤯🤯🤯 one for the books! Insane. I swear at one point the turn was passed to Kevon and I was like “oh…. I forgot he was even still playing 🤣”.

The casual turn of active ring draw 6, response activate ring draw 6, response bow masters, activate ring draw 8.
That was one of the craziest games I've seen. The way it ended with the winner at 1 life too. Fantastic.
20:12 tyler is not able to crack his treasures due to the grand abolisher effect of kevons myrel

What an insane game! I was just playing earlier today and we had 3 rings out at once and a couple of orcish bowmasters and sheoldreds and it was a pretty crazy one
You could have also casted the phantasmal image from Cam’s dauthi pile to copy the thassa’s to win as well Dylan
You guys should see the one ring in Shorikai, unwinding clock, two keys, minamo. It is absolutely insane
Tyler is....exceptional. wow. It helps that hes piloting a deck hes a veteran with. But it truly shows his knowledge and skill. This show could have been called Tyler and his One Ring. While Cam did WORK. Tyler. Wow
This is one of the best games you have put out in a while. Great job!
When Wizards prints expensive cards like this, it makes me enjoy the proliferation of proxies even more.
Fantastic game Play To Win! Wow!
would like to see a Thada Adel cEDH deck, it's like a One Ring in the command zone given the prevalence of One Ring
I’m working on one right now, it’s really fun

So I have a question after this game. With the one ring being so prevelant does that make Elixir of immortality now playable in cEDH?
What are the best places to order proxies to play alongside real cards as far as real feel and shuffle-feel?
"Looking back is 2020"

What website do you get your proxies from? Love the duals
19:50 any reason not to play the endurance with dauthi when you died?
One of the most exciting games of magic I have ever watched. Awesome!!
This game is the definition of CEDH!!! Powerful cards and endless "on stack" battles... good game everyone!

Jesus, this game was INSANE!
Sheoldred and underworld dreams effects seeming like poss meta calls 😅
This is the best game I think I’ve ever seen on PTW
One of the best game ive seen recently
i can feel cameron's frustration through turns 5 and 6. You can hear it in his normally calm voice
Confirmed: the best The One Ring-deck is the one that gets it out first.
hey guys, it would be cool to have a hand size counter beside the life (as this info is extremely important in TCG), love your content!
How many "shuffle this card into your Library from your Graveyard" cards SHOULD be in a cEDH deck that doesn't use deck out as a built in win-con? Cam's deck being called KFC definitely helped with his ring activation. KFC always helps my ring activate 🤭
Tyler didn't lose 6 life from the ring on his 5th turn, luckily it didnt actually matter but he should have died one combat earlier. WP by Kevon
What's the banger of a background music track at the set up? Fantasy tavern beats and I love it.
Duuude this is one of the sickest games I ever saw. Tyler is the GOAT!!
Someone might have mentioned this already; The winning line of play from Kevon, I never heard him pay the 2 for Wandering Archaic. He cast an Offer, A mystical Tutor, a chain of vapor, and a vampiric. Maybe it wasn't heard cause editing or something.
Archaic was dead at this point as it had blocked the orc army earlier in the turn
You're right. Saw it on the board, but I think that was their graveyard spread out, or something!
This game was intense and insane!!!!! Great game. My brain was losing it and I was just watching lol.
This might have been the best game I’ve ever seen on this channel! A nail biter to the very end!
Didn’t cam trade with the gilded drake at the end? Would that still have been leathal?
This game felt like what casual edh players think cedh is like
Me starting the video: They must have played three games, Nice!
Tbf, deflecting swat chamges the target to the bowmasters and kills it
Ya know what's the best card against the One Ring? Notion Thief. Its fucking time.
I want 2 know the tivit deck list . I have one but need to make it a little more cedh.

Surprised Cam just took that, considering it was his deflecting swat ( I assume the game is just not fresh in Cam's mind).
The fow + dauthi would have been sweet
Loved the music on this one
Nice cleric play. Hardest multi-player role in any game, but especially in Soulsborne.
This was a ludicrous game, loved it.
Why do you guys counter the counterspell and not the original spell you are fighting over? Saw it on some occasions in other videos too.
Incredible game ! That's why we love cEDH !
How can I play with yall
I have a zur deck that wins pretty fast with my play group but wanna test it even more
If you hadn't done that iteration the deflecting swat took the bowmasters off the table. That was your only chance right?
