The Refusal density is a measure of the maximum degree of packing of aggregates in the asphalt mix that is possible without degradation of the aggregate. It is the density at which further comaction of the mix will not have effect on air voids (or density). It is used to simulate the insitu density to which an asphalt mix can be compacted under extreme conditions of traffic loading. @@SatishIITR While we testing the cubes in 28 day's curing but at site we will do 14 day's of curing period is ther any kind of logic is there sir can u explain?
Sir why we are using Geosynthetics in DBM only, why not in Bituminous Macadam and Penetration Macadam as such this all 3 comes under Bituminous Binder course ?
BM or penetration macadam are open grade courses and these are used in low traffic volume roads like PMGSY roads or ODR. Strengthening by geosynthetics is not needed in these layers.
Lime is an anti-stripping agent and is used to provide more durability in the mix. We can design the mix without lime powder also, but it is desirable to keep it at least in the top layer.
@@SatishIITRthanks for your reply sir , one more thing sir as earlier reply by you sir that bitumens to fines ratio is calculate by percentage passing of 75 micron and divide by Bitumen content if my bitumen to fines ratio is about 2 then how to carry in range of 0.6 to 1.2 (specified limit in morth) which aggregate should be need to down
@@civiltechnoharyana7850 You should see the aggregate stockpile which is contributing to the filler (P75 micron) in the final mix. generally, stone dust is required to be reduced to get F-B ratio within limits.

Thank you vey much sir for Explanation on DBM
You are most welcome
You're Great Satish.
Thanks a ton. It is not me, but my students are great
Great 👍!
Excellent presentation
references such as IRC code 99...are to be mentioned
Yes, it is IRC 111. Mentioned in the video
Very nice explanation sir, please make video on Bituminous concrete also.
Noted. Thanks for the suggestion.
very nice...please make video on bituminous concrete also
Okay sure
Nice One 🙏🏻 Very Helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Hello sir🙏
please guide and make a video on IRC 59-2019 Geo synthetics in Road Pavements specially LCR method and MIF method.
OK, noted
Informative video. 👍
Glad you think so!
Sir can you please make a video on SMA( Stone mastic asphalt)
it is already uploaded. watch it and write your comments

After design if thickness comes for dbm grade 1 is 110mm what should I do?
You can lay it in two layers 60+50
