I’ve been watching meal prep videos for the past 4 years since becoming vegan and this is the first video that actually makes meal prep attainable to someone with major ADHD and ED. Thank you for the gentle yet effective push 💕
I have adhd too and I can’t seem to ever be consistent at meal prepping entire meals every week and then eating them. But this is just a slight moderation from what I already do and I appreciate the advice sm as well as
My best tip is: chopped onion (washed, peeled, diced), boiled whole potatos (with skin and not chopped), and boiled eggs (with the shell), will last you the entire week in the fridge, they're the only ingredients i prep but it helps a lot
Boiled eggs will last that long? And boiled potatoes in teh fridge will last? Like, the eggs make sense to me, it just doesn't sit right with me. But boiled potatoes will last a week in the fridge not freezer?
@@zoraackerman1684 yes! But the boiled eggs have to be unpeeled, same with the potatoes and they have to be dried with a paper towel or something. Now, it may vary since I'm not from the US and each produce is kinda different in each country but I recommend you try boiling enough for 3 days first then 4 then 5 and try out that way so there's no food waste
This is the smartest thing I’ve ever heard. I hate eating the same thing everyday. I’m going to tell my trainer about this! She’s always getting on me to meal prep
I feel sorry for you people eating this plant-based slop everyday. Micromanaging all your meals + snacks. Going to the toilet all the time. Must be hell, must be thinking about food all the time. Just eat steak and be happy.
@@brojoe4919I do eat steak, buddy. I’m not quite sure if you’re commenting on the right person. I’m not vegan at all, although, in an ideal world I’d like to be.
@@brojoe4919 I cook all kinds of food and use tons of fruits and veg along with meat and dairy. This just seemed like a smart way to prep the produce and get it out of the way 🤷🏻♀️
Yessss girl!!🙏 Soo many meal prep videos but i think its much more ideal to prep ingredients instead of whole meals ... Especially if you have a family to feed!! Love the simplicity ... Ty for the ideas keep em comin 😊
Washing vegetables in advance is a very dubious idea, since more germs appear on them than when they were not washed (a humid environment is very conducive to this). So it's better to wash vegetables and fruits a second time when you're going to eat them (or wash them only once, before eating)🤓🤓🤓
Most fruits & veggies are ok to wash in advance- especially if they are allowed to dry afterwards. Also, keeping them in the fridge will help slow bacteria growth after washing & allowing to dry. Washing in advance & having them ready to eat will cut down on time & poor food choices during the week. But I have read & experienced first hand that strawberries in particular are best washed right before eating and not before.
Honestly, this is the best method for meal prepping. I plan out and shop for a weeks’ worth of meals, but only cook them in 2-3 day batches. And I always keep ingredients for an “emergency meal” on hand in case I can’t go shopping on the last day. Usually comprised of pantry stable things + a frozen veggie
It isn't what I would have chosen for a make-ahead meal. Plus you're standing there stirring that for what..to put in the fridge. Put chicken and root vegetables in the oven, better idea for a put-in-the-fridge meal. I do this all the time when I have the oven on anyway.
This is a very helpful and manageable approach. I love the tip of maybe prepping just one meal! I always find that I don't want to cook on days that I go grocery shopping especially.
Love this. I am the same , I m not a big meal prep person and have been looking for a way to still have snacks or meals ready for the week. Thanks for these tips ❤
There’s no need to peel carrots🧡🧡 The best nutrients are closest to the peel so u don’t want to take them off! Also saves lots of time and work and doesn’t taste any different
Giving me some ideas but as someone who does weightlifting surviving on only risotto would make me lose all my weight lol I will definitely be adding some protein.
There was a lot in this video. I'm stealing that meal prep one meal. I'm not a fan of unfresh food, but one meal will do. And it's so true how it's much easier to grab a healthy snack when it's available.
If you have kids, quadruple this work and know you’ll probably be in the kitchen a lot longer than she let on, for example, homemade risotto (not park cooked from a box) can take over 30 minutes to cook without the prep time included, not to mention toon you can’t walk away from it, oh the world of influencers 😅

Meal prepping risotto is wild to me lol… like how it doesn’t glob up into one big mush after one day is beyond me
It definitely globs up. Every meal will be like eating leftover risotto, which isn't the worst but wouldn't be my preference.
And also why meal prep a risotto which takes less than 30min to make
It isn't what I would have chosen for a make-ahead meal. Plus you're standing there stirring that for what..to put in the fridge. Put chicken and root vegetables in the oven, better idea for a put-in-the-fridge meal. I do this all the time when I have the oven on anyway.

Won't washed fruit mold after a whole week though?
Yeah, it's best to wash fruit and veg right before you use it. Berries definitely go bad a lot faster if you wash them in advance.
Whenever I wash strawberries in advance and put back in the fridge they get all squishy. Not worth it.

There’s no need to peel carrots🧡🧡 The best nutrients are closest to the peel so u don’t want to take them off! Also saves lots of time and work and doesn’t taste any different
If you want your bananas to last longer separate them! They release a gas that makes them go bad faster when together. 😊
