hey CinemaWins, I know you probably haven't heard of this movie, but do you want to do an Everything Great About Legend of the guardians, The Owls of Ga'Hoole?
Whale Sharko I wouldn’t say he was the only one that represented his character. I think they all did a great job, but the movie did give Jack the most to work with which makes sense considering he’s probably the best comedic actor of the group. Kevin Hart’s funny but he basically plays himself in every role. Nothing wrong with that ofc, it definitely worked with this film.
Hup, hippos are terrifying when you find out that they 1. Are omnivorous, meaning they eat vegetables AND meat depending on their mood 2. They frequently *lick* crocodiles and crocodiles sit perfectly still and let it happen 3. They are *extremely* territorial about their water and boats in their _domain_ sometimes piss them off
Also, they stand at the bottom of lakes and rivers for hours and occasionally just jump or "bob" up to the top, and when they are down at the bottom they are nearly invisible. So any body of water could just have 50 tons of fury and foot long teeth waiting to either pop up and flip your tiny boat, and freak out on you for being in their territory, or wait for you to venture down there on your own unsuspectingly and never see the light of day again. Just knowing that there could be an entire herd of hippos just waiting at the bottom of the dark water, ready to murder anyone and anything that comes near is super scary. It's why they kill so many people! Because people just paddle across a body of water, a hippo pops up and hits a boat and gets scared and snaps it in half, people fall in the water and panic stirring up the rest and it becomes a feeding frenzy. Hippos are absolutely terrifying and as savage as they come. They kill more people than any other living thing in Africa aside from other humans or disease.

It looks like a retread of an old movie based on a short children's book but with popular actors, including a few who famously star in some pretty bad movies (the Rock, Kevin Hart and Jack Black have their ups and downs with their careers) but this movie turned out to be one of the best movies of last year, taking all the dumb cliches and silly tropes and actually leaning into them to simulate a low quality 90s game and actually make the experience better. 6:48 Extra points to the fact that he just doesn’t die when he eats cake, he *explodes,* meaning that under the right circumstances other players can also lose a life when that happens.
I know im very late butttt Here's the thing, her speaking her mind to a teacher is VERY badass to a teen because (at least during my school years) teachers abuse their power alot and you'd get yelled at or sent to the principal's office for not doing exactly what they say or refusing to take their word as truth.
If that ain't a mood. My fitness teacher called me to the office twice last semester (both of which ended with me in tears) and then acted like nothing had happened. It was ridiculous.
Especially to Spencer who by all accounts is a coward and that’s his arc in the movie. Accepting that him being braveheart has little to do with the character he’s playing. Fridge gives him the advice he needs and finally accepts himself. So ya, he definitely would have seen her roasting a teacher as badass.
What I adore about this movie is that they did their own thing with it. When they announced they were doing a remake, I had immediately assumed they were going to do a redux of the original movie...sans Robin Williams, which would not only be a travesty to the film itself, but also almost seems like a pretty disrespectful move on their part. Kind of like when they said they were redoing the Labyrinth after David Bowey died, and everyone got pissed off. Then turn around a year later, a trailer for this came out. Most people were criticizing it for transferring it to a video game, about it all being about the jokes and how it'd just be super dated after a few years. And I absolutely loved the concept. Not only was it a unique spin, but it didn't try to reinvent the original, or replace Robin. I genuinely think, whether you like it or not, this is the best way they could have done a Jumanji remake.
I really liked how they showed the game being found on the beach as a reference of tge original's ending and how to board game changed into a video game to get him to play it. the only problem i had with it is that it had a little too much humor
My stepdad is named Van Pelt. I saw this movie for the first time with him. We couldn’t stop laughing. ‘The Evil Van Pelt’ was our joke for months afterwards.
The "teacher remembers solitary paper" thing has been deemed unrealistic by both this and CinemaSins' original video, but y'all are forgetting that digital plagiarism checkers are standard for most classrooms now.
@@jop2663 those would be the copies they handed in in person. Students essentially have to turn the paper in twice: once digitally and once in person as a physical paper copy
@@leafung8445 "they handed *in in* person" A round of applause for the English language. (btw, I'm making fun of the language itself instead of your grammar, because I know it's the correct way to write it, which makes it all the way more ridiculous).
“I’m a map doctor.” Ugh typing out that line cannot do the amazing delivery justice X’3 Jack Black talking like genuine stuck up girl is seriously hilarioua
I don't know why I'm sharing this, but I just made an amazing discovery: The actor who played the Principal (Marc Evan Jackson ) is the same guy who plays Kevin (Capt. Holt's husband) in Brooklyn 99!! I never realized that until now!
You absolutely killed me when you entered the "Moonchild" clip. I was so not expecting that xD I give props to all the adult actors nailing their roles as teenagers on the head. That's the one thing that made this movie enjoyable for me, even though I was so sad when I heard they were making a new one and Robin Williams wasn't in it... may he rest in peace. Least to say, I couldn't hate this movie. I love it too much.
what got me was that despite seeing that film dozens of times since it came out in the 80's, i never knew what name he was yelling until seeing that just now.
A personal win from me was also the girl friendship that developed between Martha and Bethany surprisingly early on. Bethany says to Martha ''you're a babe, own it!'' girl positivity. and really in most movies the characters keep bickering for no reason until the last minute when they have NO OTHER choice, but these characters actually talked about their feelings. Spencer and Martha confess their feelings before the final climax even begins. Spencer and Fridge put aside their differences by talking about their feelings too. So I guess I'm just winning: honesty and communication p.s. also the fact that they had Bethany (as Sheldon) give CPR to Alex and no one said a thing about it other than that it was brave. good movie!!
oh man!! i loved this movie!! so hilarious!! The Rock, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan really steal every scene their in!! true the move isnt perfect, but its incredibly entertaining, moves at a proper pace, has hilarious dialogue, and respects the original movie while being its own thing. def one of the best, imo atleast, video-game-live-adaptations of the last few years, along with Tomb Raider, but thats another story.
i don't multiple people can steal every scene they're in because usually that phrase is used for one person doing a better job then the rest... just saying
During your breakfast club breakdown I would've listed Spencer as the nerd since he literally got in trouble for doing someone else's homework and the 'brains' chick would've been the basket case since she never wanted to do what she was told and the Bethany chick even mentions that she's kinda anti-social which is why I believe she matches up to Ally Sheedy's character
It's not an exact one to one for some of them. Spencer and Martha could be kinda interchangeable for the roles. Both are shrinking violets. But while Martha hides her insecurities through snarking and putting down others, Spencer doesn't hide his, but is also incredibly fearful and from what I understand is germaphobic as well. So it's kinda six in one hand, half-dozen in the toher.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was so funny. Jack Black had me cracking up the whole time. And all I could think of whenever Rhys Darby was on was: Coran, Coran the gorgeous man!

My own Audiobook, that i'm currently working on, is 'Skyhunter', whilst not being professionally made i've pushed so much passion into it that i think your ideas would really help a lot. Not asking for a lot of time, but this is a project i've poured sweat, Trademarks and blood into crafting. It is inspired by the latter 3 of the Mistborn books, starting with Alloy of Law. Edit: It is inspired by the Mistborn books, So in short: Hey Cinemawins, how about a Discord huh? I think we should spread this positivity.
Yes, yes absolutely. I can't recommend Mistborn enough. Brandon Sanderson is hands down the best fantasy author, and among the best authors in general.
@@frde2190to defeat the black mamba that they meet in the village, they have to avoid blinking. I like to think that the Jumanji game is actually a tool for teaching wayward youths to straighten up their acts. The game calls to those that need to be guided on a better path. Although the game is helping it seems to not have any compunctions about punishing the players in the most severe ways possible, but if you win then all the negative things are undone. In the first movie only Alan and Sarah retain their memories when time is rewound and none of the damage caused by the game is left. This gives them both the chance to have a lasting impact over their lives and the lives of others, namely saving Peter and Judy's parents. In the second movie all the kids are released after the win and placed back into the moment they were taken by the game but retain their memories. This indicates to me that the game wants to correct the behavior of troubled youths, but will be a harsh taskmaster about it.
I went to this movie not expecting to hands down love it as much as I do. You are spot on about the actors' layered characterizations and the familiarity and respect the movie shows of adventure video games. And kudos to your editing! Well done, man. I put this on for background noise thinking it'd be okay. It. Was. Amazing. The acting was great, writing was great, everything was so much better than I expected!
I know I'm going to make a lot of people upset with me, but I kinda like the second movie more. Putting nostalgia for the movie and anything Robin Williams aside, I can see that it's still good, but it hasn't aged as well as I wanted. I wanted to go into this movie and say that it tried it's best but messed up everything by making it a video game. However, it makes sure to honor what came before it, update it for a more recent crowd IN A WAY THAT MAKES SENSE, and, most importantly, had fun making an enjoyable movie. Does it have it's problems? Yes, but if you can make me like a Jack Black role so much that I'm going "he was born to play that role," you done good. And yes, I think Jack Black was born to play a bratty teenage girl.
Zach Gamemaster i agree with you!!!! also bcos i only saw the first movie once and i dont understand it that much. but the second movie is so great! the cast, the storyline, and the script!
Are you sure this movie is aimed at children? I get that teen movies that are actually aimed at children aren't exactly rare anymore, (thank you High School Musical) but aside from Disney Channel and Nickelodeon, I thought these movies were considered "outdated" by now. (Given how they were extremely popular in the 2000s, and are no longer popular in the 2010s. At least according to the rating on Disney Channel.) It's rated PG for a reason. I can imagine ages 8 and up are the target audience, but not really ages 7 and below.
God I love Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson in this movie, I mean as was said they all did a great job in this movie but especially those two in my opinion
CinemaWins it’s the same game from the one in the original it just evolved for for the next generation. It’s a cursed sentient game and when it realized it wasn’t going to get played as it was it transformed itself into something that it’s new owner would play. So it make sense there would be remnants of Alan in the game even though it changed into a video game it’s still the same world and locations Alan lived in for those 20 years. The game didn’t change the world it just changed how the game plays so it had to make the jungle that’s already inside the game the word of the video game.
I told my sister about this channel. I remember just falling hard into the Cinema Sins channel when I realized my love of movies and my desire to analyze them. It actually ended up negatively affecting my view of movies because instead of enjoying them, I was looking for all the problems. I quit his channel, have not been since, but when I realized I wanted to be a director, I was drawn back to him to see how my opinion on him changed. While looking it up, this channel popped in the search suggestions. Thank you for reminding me the joy of film-making.
CC Gaming it was amazing what r u talking about?! It was beautifully shot, edited, acted and choreographed. Hart had good lines, but I still hate him. Jack... Black... The man was a teenage girl, what more do you want? Karren Gillan was great, campy, but great.
Watched it on my birthday. Best decision ever. But also, who didn’t laugh at “ZOOLOGY B*TCH!”

Extra points to the fact that he just doesn’t die when he eats cake, he *explodes,* meaning that under the right circumstances other players can also lose a life when that happens.
I know im very late butttt
Here's the thing, her speaking her mind to a teacher is VERY badass to a teen because (at least during my school years) teachers abuse their power alot and you'd get yelled at or sent to the principal's office for not doing exactly what they say or refusing to take their word as truth.
Yeah, you just have bad teachers.
Very true :D I got sent to detention once lol.
I do agree to an extent, but…I’d come back to this comment in ~4 years and see if you have any different thoughts about it.
"You're a total badass!"
"That word you keep using. I do not think it means what you think it means."
Inconceivable!
He started the quote in this video and I got oddly peeved that he didn't finish the quote.
I was genuinely both surprised and pleased that it turned out to be more of a sequel than a remake what with its homages to the original.
My stepdad is named Van Pelt. I saw this movie for the first time with him. We couldn’t stop laughing. ‘The Evil Van Pelt’ was our joke for months afterwards.
Wait, where’s the win for
“ZOOLOGY B*TCH!!”
Furrertale Perrin EXACTLY
That was the best part of the entire movie

The "teacher remembers solitary paper" thing has been deemed unrealistic by both this and CinemaSins' original video, but y'all are forgetting that digital plagiarism checkers are standard for most classrooms now.
On the other hand, it seems that they handed them in in person
@@jop2663 Oftentimes, students have to turn their papers in digitally to the plagiarism checker before handing it in in person.
@@leafung8445 but why would she print them out then?
@@jop2663 those would be the copies they handed in in person. Students essentially have to turn the paper in twice: once digitally and once in person as a physical paper copy

A round of applause for the English language.
(btw, I'm making fun of the language itself instead of your grammar, because I know it's the correct way to write it, which makes it all the way more ridiculous).
I freaking love Jack Black. She.... I mean he.... is the best at giving advice on how to flirt LMAO.
The "pee" part always cracks me up
@@ksuma715 Same.
Dude! How could you not win Kevin Hart riding a Elephant screaming "ZOOLOGY BITCH!"
xD
I know right XD
"This is Nebula, guys."
I'm sorry, that's Amelia Pond, and she's the girl who waited.
Shes the girl who waited for you to say that XD (I LOVE DR WHO)
Because River song didn't get it all from you, sweetie.

Did nobody notice the fact that there was an empty chair when they all went to the office? That alex probably would have filled if he was their age??
“I’m a map doctor.” Ugh typing out that line cannot do the amazing delivery justice X’3 Jack Black talking like genuine stuck up girl is seriously hilarioua

MOVIE SIN
I don't know why I'm sharing this, but I just made an amazing discovery:
The actor who played the Principal (Marc Evan Jackson
) is the same guy who plays Kevin (Capt. Holt's husband) in Brooklyn 99!! I never realized that until now!
I just realised that as well! I’m glad someone noticed.
Omg!!!! I love Brooklyn 99, thought I recognised him
You absolutely killed me when you entered the "Moonchild" clip. I was so not expecting that xD
I give props to all the adult actors nailing their roles as teenagers on the head. That's the one thing that made this movie enjoyable for me, even though I was so sad when I heard they were making a new one and Robin Williams wasn't in it... may he rest in peace.
Least to say, I couldn't hate this movie. I love it too much.
Lueroso from which film is this snippet from?
It's from The Neverending Story. :)
what got me was that despite seeing that film dozens of times since it came out in the 80's, i never knew what name he was yelling until seeing that just now.
I originally didn't want to see this movie, but my little cousins dragged me to it, and I really liked, props to Jumanji.
So I guess I'm just winning: honesty and communication
p.s. also the fact that they had Bethany (as Sheldon) give CPR to Alex and no one said a thing about it other than that it was brave.
good movie!!
oh man!! i loved this movie!! so hilarious!!
It's not a video-game adaptation. Actually, movies *about* video-games (like these) tend to be good, while direct adaptations tend to be bad.
Especially jack black. He was the best actor in this film
i don't multiple people can steal every scene they're in because usually that phrase is used for one person doing a better job then the rest... just saying
this movie was great! I don't know which character I liked best but Jack Black was hilarious!
I agree, I went into it not liking it. Then I watched it😂
During your breakfast club breakdown I would've listed Spencer as the nerd since he literally got in trouble for doing someone else's homework and the 'brains' chick would've been the basket case since she never wanted to do what she was told and the Bethany chick even mentions that she's kinda anti-social which is why I believe she matches up to Ally Sheedy's character
No Win for Dwayne Johnson referring to himself in the third person, throwback to WWE days?
4th person I think
"I'm also impressed they didn't have some kind of lead into a sequel."
Jumanji: The Next Level: "Hold my beer."
Are you going to do Incredibles before the sequel comes out?
The incredible wins
That Frozone scene will get 100000 wins, and it better.
Tristan West yeaaaah
i still can't believe how much i loved this movie.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was so funny. Jack Black had me cracking up the whole time. And all I could think of whenever Rhys Darby was on was: Coran, Coran the gorgeous man!
Professor Shelly "Martha! Come look at my penis"
Martha "No thanks.
That cracks me up every time.

Hearing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson reference Gaming Terminology like “Cutscene” and “NPC”, along with playing a frail teenager guy, is the realization that Dwayne is a really… really good actor. Like he came a long away.

Hello Cinemawins! You're a fantastic person, and now that you're listening to Audiobooks, i'd recommend the entire Mistborn series! It's safe to say that you are a Badass Good guy.
+1 for Mistborn. Time for Cinemawins to open up a new channel called LiteratureWins? I think so!
I'd watch that
I would watch that. Definitely. LiteratureWins would be amazing, maybe he should open a discord?
But then he'd have to read the whole trilogy, and what about the sequels? That's a lot of time...
Also, Amy/Amelia Pond. *ding*
I would’ve added a win for how they made a whole movie starring Karen Gillan and it’s only got 1 Doctor Who reference in it.
Which reference was this?
@@frde2190to defeat the black mamba that they meet in the village, they have to avoid blinking.
Thinking about it, there’s also the fact that Gillan’s character is called Martha and that her costume is very reminiscent of Leela’s, but compared to works such as Good Omens, which inserts a DW reference into every other scene, just in case the audience have forgotten who the lead actor is, or Inside No. 9, which has several lines from Who alumni which refer to the show directly, that’s still pretty restrained.
@@jackaylward-williams9064 oh yeah I remember that, I also watched good omens and the amount of dr who references are astonishing
This movie was honestly incredible.. from start to finish.. one of the best movie experiences I've sat through
7:37 IT'S WWE!!!! They got the F out a long time ago. As the Wrestling Sinner, I sin you. LOL!

The Rock was mostly in WWF though...
Christian Maracle HOLY SHIT! Christian Maracle on CinemaWins!!!
Rocky started when it was WWF, I think it's perfectly acceptable to use either version
sins legend commenting on this.
This channel is way better than CinemaSins, I said it, who cares about everything wrong with the movie, the world is full of negativity!
Ikr! I also prefer “Top Ten Best” videos more than “Top Ten Worst” videos
Time Lord of Gotham: Main Channel yeah fuck cinemasins!!! There is also a channel that kinda fights against cinemasins its called bobvids and he says whats wrong about the things that the cinemasins people say, he did a video about cabin in the woods. Check it out
I love cinema sins but I have to agree cinemawins will always win, he has a nicer tone and video style in my opinion
I'm going to try watching this as much if not more so than the sin related content to try and loosen up my cynical mind.

You promise to watch it? And promote it? You might be the only one who does. :)
I'd watch it. Megamind was great.

I'd like to see your take on "Galaxy Quest". Subscribed ü
7:30. Only the Rock could convincingly pull off 'throw through ceiling' as a fight move.
Count Dooku: I've been looking forward to this
Hello there

After watching your EGA Baby Driver and Scott Pilgrim - two of my favourite films, I'd love to see your opinions on the Cornetto Trilogy. You speak so well of Edgar Wright and it'd be cool to see you break down more films from my all-time number one director
I think every scene getting a win would get a little dull after a while.
Especially The World's End.
That's a great shout. Curious to see how non-Brits would take to our British sort of humour...sorry, "humor" XD
Oh my god, I'd love to see Cornetto trilogy

1:00. I'm in high school, and I'm proud to say that most of us still think board games are fun
Shout out to the killer from Too Many Cooks being the rations guy.
This is one of the best sequels ever.
It was great to see Dwayne Johnson actually play a character for once
Funny thing about you bringing up 'The Rundown' is that it's international title is actually *'Welcome to The Jungle.'*
Also I would love to see you make an 'Everything GREAT About The Rundown'.
I put this on for background noise thinking it'd be okay. It. Was. Amazing. The acting was great, writing was great, everything was so much better than I expected!
“You dont get in the water with a backpack on everybody knows that”
I love that line 😂
Karen Gillan = 1000 wins
Kenzo Mara2 ouuu yeah
The one movie i'd love to see on this channel would be John Carter. An underrated movie in my opinion.
Agreed, JackOnTheBox...
At least according to the rating on Disney Channel.)
It's rated PG for a reason. I can imagine ages 8 and up are the target audience, but not really ages 7 and below.
It's actually rated PG-13, not PG. So yeah, not aimed for young children.
God I love Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson in this movie, I mean as was said they all did a great job in this movie but especially those two in my opinion
What you do is great and you should be proud
I'm looking forward to the reboot/sequel for Zathura now.
Yeah, that's right. It changed from a board into a cartridge in the kids room. It's perfectly fine. I've no issue.
Oh so like any game developer trying to make a bigger more exciting version of a game, Jumanji reused it’s old assets.
5:30 lol the P.E reference is so funny cause we did stupid stuff like boomerang hoola hoop and a lot more lmao
I really didn't think I'd like this movie as much as I did. It was pretty funny
The Greatest Showman next please!!!
The Greatest Showman kinda sucked tho
CC Gaming it was amazing what r u talking about?! It was beautifully shot, edited, acted and choreographed. In terms of story it's weak and not historically accurate but I seriously doubt anyone who enjoyed the film actually went into the film expecting it to be historically accurate since it's a musical
I was mainly talking about story cause i'm a sucker for great storytelling but hate it when there is little story. Just my opinion, i'm just a kid in the dark about to film my next youtube video, don't take my opinion like it's important like whatever you want to like.
there was nothing good about the greatest showman :(

The only times I've said anything bad about teachers is when they're actually crap at their job or just a bad person in general. All of two maybe three of my teachers ever. Every other teacher I've gotten on with pretty well. I was never a teacher's pet, I just didn't cause trouble and got on with whatever I was meant to be doing.
