Always so relaxing watching these charming little trains do their daily work. Also can't help but notice how this railway is especially fond of their oversized bogie brakevans, and with fitting most of their brakevans with cupolas/birdcages in an almost American practice, something hardly ever seen on real Welsh/Manx narrow gauge. Not a criticism at all, quite the contrary. It's another thing that makes this little railway unique.
Birdcages were common on the West Clare, and if I remember correctly, on the Ratty in its 3ft gauge days. The large six-wheeler is an interpretation of the West Clare 'ballast brake' vans.
Thanks, all, for your kind remarks. To answer a few questions: my railway has grown over a period of more than 50 years. Its history and more details are described here: www.009dutch.nl/cdr/. This site isn't quite up to date - it needs a little work. Painting and lining my locomotives (using several techniques) is described in my project pages on the Dutch 009 Group website: www.009dutch.nl/. Enter the site, choose your preferred language and look under the Projects button. Scroll down to find my projects - the Leek & Manifold loco is one of them.
I love your channel, videos, locos and railway! So good I love watching these and find them super relaxing too tbh. Any chance you would consider doing any tutorial videos regarding OO9 related stuff? Personally I’d love to see how you do the lining on your wonderful locos 😁
The lining on my locomotives is explained here: www.009dutch.nl/archive/2017/album/2017teds-workbench/pages/IMG_f1752.htm. Click on right arrow to see further photos.

Again some action from one of my two favorite railways 🌷❤🌹
2 questions : How old is your railway and how long has it taken to build it ? 😀

is this ho/oo or O scale?
It is a 009 layout, which means 4mm scale and 9mm gauge track.
Is it possible to get a total overview view from youre layout. All the Videos looks nice. But i realy would like to see the hole layout in one scene.
The best thing to do is to visit my C&DR website: www.009dutch.nl/cdr/
Now you've distracted me just as I was about to go to bed...

You meet all the best people on the C & D...
@@Korschtal Haha - they say the best quality test of a book or a video is the lack of sleep of the viewer! ;-)
Awesome. Definitely needs more sound effects on the video though :-D
