Welcome to the 10th installment of the Bayesic Training series. Today, we're going to do an in depth walkthrough of Dolphin Shoals on 150cc. This is a really difficult course to learn, so hopefully the techniques I go over in this video help you all out! - Ігри
I love this new style. As someone who’s at a lower skill level, it’s great to have more focused goals - skills to develop first to improve my performance before moving on to the more advanced strategies. Having them separated out is really helpful. It makes improving my times feel more in reach.

Imma be honest here: I’m learning the strats to be more relaxed around the track, so I can enjoy the music more. This track’s tune is in my top 3

Got 2:06, after a few tries, got 4 tricks of the eel at times
will practise more in future but for now im very happy taking this online

This was the *last* course I beat the 150cc staff ghost on. Wish I had found this series first, woulda made things a heck of a lot easier, haha.

I know I'm a year late, but I'd like to recommend shaking your controller when tricking off the eel since that pretty much makes it easier to get the tricks than using the right trigger. This strategy still works even with motion controls off

I'm just going for gold tires and for the life of me could not beat this one and turns out it was just the kart parts that were making me lose. Great build! Got it my first try after this.

Hmmm you might want to look at the MK8 records channel (not mk8dx records)
Because of things like fire hopping and demon sliding, the best build might actually be different between the two versions
Do u know about the glider strat? You drift right without getting an mt then u use ur mushroom, tilt back and left and then ur done, it’s on 150cc btw.
I'm only familiar with three strats which are basically the ones I covered here. Is there a video on YT that has this?
A youtuber called JPgivner taught me the shortcut in a few of his videos, he’s really good at Mario kart, probably better than me, he’s also gonna be in the Mario kart World Cup 2021
@Huey gamer hmmm I only messed with it for a bit, but it seems way more difficult and without using motion glider, doesn't seem to save much if any time
But if you've got extra mushrooms to spare it's probably a fair bit better than what I do. But yeah JPGiviner is really damned good at this game lol
Ye, doesn’t save to much time but it’s apparently around 0.1 seconds faster than just shrooming through the off-road
It’s way harder than shrooming through the off-road though
Holy smokes, I didn't even know which way I should be taking to increase my time, never mind all the other stuff. When I did my speed runs yesterday, I never finished this course because it was pissing me off so much. It looks beautiful and all, but running it is really annoying. Hey, at least I know where to start!!

Does this mean MTs don't do anything if you already have a boost?
Basically boosts don’t stack I guess is the main point
on the whale did you press R or shake the controllers to make those tricks?
I drift with ZR, so that's what I press, but yeah same diff. I don't shake for the eel

@@Bayesic I imagine this is more personal preference but I find that shaking controller/right joycon while on the eel makes getting tricks a lot easier, since when I am trying to keep the kart aligned with the eel and tricking with ZR it ends up doing a drift instead of a trick. Might just be me doing the inputs with bad timing though.

Nah it’s 2:00.744. My best splits are a sub two minute, but I didn’t feel like grinding out perfect eels anymore lol

@@Bayesic I think it's even more pronounced watching on 1.75x. But it helped me get through this beastly level so looks like I'm wearing a cardigan tomorrow
