Hey Rob, lots of nice buys there. Not heard that Parliament album, but looks very cool… cracking cover. SFA, Temples and that blast from the past Northside. When I was in high school, I had to write a comparative essay and did mine on the difference between LSD songs from different generations: Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds and Shall We Take A Trip. My teacher wasn’t impressed.
Hi jack , this years rsd was pretty expensive my wallet still hasn’t recovered 😀.. shall we take a trip is an absolute classic ! I’d have given you top marks 😃. Thanks for watching 👍
Very cool. Were theses mostly UK exclusives ? Because I only seen the Parliament vinyl in Chicago. We did see a few UK exclusive Soundtracks because we have 3 Reckless Records here but that was it.
Hi .. I think the majority of these were uk only releases.. I’ve had a few people comment that they’d like to have had the opportunity to pick up a few of these records .. thanks for watching and commenting.. have a great weekend 👍
I agree that it was a very good RSD this year, Rob. I decided on six releases that I’m now waiting for in the post, and there’s still a few others that I may pick up down the line if they ever get discounted. Glad you got Chicken Rhythms, it’s a terrific album 👍🏼
Hey jimmy I was close to picking up the pulp album I think you’ve grabbed that one .. you can’t buy everything.. I actually forgot to show the tricky album I picked up it’s excellent.. I will watch your rsd video later, . I’ve watched your tier videos recently. Keep em coming 👍
@@robwalkerletthemusicplay cheers Rob, my RSD pick-ups won’t be on the channel till sometime later next month, the Pulp album is one I decided to get, I wasn’t sure at first but Martin Harris persuaded me 😄
Rob with the Ginger cat 🐈😁👋 just picked up my last RSD record the other day at Seattle’s Easy St. records. Love to see your pics, fun to see what UK RSD picks were out there. Verve is a sweet pic! Didn’t recall seeing many over of those over here. did you get everything on your list? I’d be curious what RSD records are still hanging around a month later there in Manchester? 🤔
Glad to see Temples getting a mention, although I've yet to get the debut you have there - need to sort that. Saw them live in Brighton last year, most excellent.
Hi George funny you’ve commented I was watching your recent video where you went to a couple of shops one in Bognor Regis and you picked up pet sounds , pentangle etc .. I enjoy those type of videos … a lot of people liked the temples last album I need to give that some time .. thanks for commenting 👍
Hi Mike as well as the verve I’m also a fan of Richard Ashcroft solo albums .. the Paul weller record is on red vinyl and it’s certainly wetted my appetite for his new album .. thanks for watching and commenting Mike 👍
Enjoyed the video Rob, thanks! Everytime I watch, I end up going down a rabbithole. I am clueless about most of the music you show. Which is a good thing because new music to discover. Really liking the London Grammar group. What a voice. Wow. I probably need to stick with the regular albums for now, not sure about the remixes. She sounds lovely without any bells and whistles. Either way, thank you for bringing the group to my attention. Temples is another new one for me. I am listening to “Exotico” now and like their style change better here. Maybe they will do that one for RSD one day. Not sure if they have. Looking forward to the new Weller. Should be great. Thanks again, always cool to watch your vids. All new to me :)
Hi Rob, I also thought it was a really good RSD. You picked up some really good records yet interestingly I picked up seven and we don’t have any the same. I guess that shows that the RSD releases this year had a lot of quality and depth. Mike
Hi Mike .. I could easily have bought more in fact I forgot to show something I’ll show it in my next update .. the mix was right this year something for everyone 👍
Hi Steve … my local shop makes a great effort for rsd … I wasn’t able to get to the shop before lunch time but fortunately everything I wanted hadn’t been snapped up ! Thanks for watching and commenting Steve 👍
I recently heard the Jam practiced here just down the road and Paul Weller did just the other Sunday too. I've still got my Northside album and 12"s they didn't quite make it did they? That Temples cover art I've seen elsewhere it's like a folly and a secret hidden message of Catholic faith when it was illegal here. Fact of the day there for you Rob.
Hi Martin , north side we’re a 3rd division Manchester band but they still had a number of great songs .. you’re always full of fun facts 😀. Is the title race over? or is a twist coming! Wolves need 13 more clubs to agree with them and VAR .. will be scrapped.. I’d welcome that 👍⚽️.. your thoughts ?
Good picks, Rob. Nice to see some SFA love. Something For The Weekend is the original UK version, which they swapped out for the US version on the reissue. Kliph Scurlock (drummer for Gruff, ex Flaming Lips) who has been doing these reissues wanted the original UK mix on the reissue, but the band nixed that - so he sneaked it on the RSD release instead. Also, if anyone missed out on Osmium and don't want to pay flipper prices - it was released a few years ago in the UK on Demon - 1 disc without bonus tracks - I think it's still possible to pick it up cheaply.
Hey. You do watch my channel 😀 this years list was excellent and everything I picked I was pleased with .. guess I’ll have to wait a while for hey Venus by SFA to be reissued that one of my favourites Thanks for commenting 👍
@@robwalkerletthemusicplay See, we're not all zombies! I'm hoping SFA put something out this year, Outspaced needs a reissue and there was Phantom Phorce (which was a cd of remixes of Phantom Power), but maybe they'll think neither of them will sell. I don't think Hey Venus will be until 2027. Love Kraft should be next year, though if they keep going with the reissues. Does that MOV reissue of It's Great When You're Straight sound any good? I used to have the original on vinyl, but sold it when 90s records shot up in price. If it's any good I wouldn't mind getting a copy again.
Hi Rob - glad you had such a successful RSD. You and Gav got 2 of the same records - The Verve and Super Furry Animals. I haven't heard either of them. That Temples blue vinyl looks fantastic; that's a record I've been meaning to pick up for a while but have not yet gotten around to it. Thanks for showing the records!
As soon as I saw you were doing this on your RSD buys I guessed you would have picked up Shed Seven and Northern Uproar albums and the Weller single. Good stuff there Rob.
Hi Steve I was spoilt for choice with this years list .. it wasn’t northern uproar it was north side a similar sized band from the Manchester area .. thanks for watching Steve 👍
Have you been in a shop called Sticky Black Tarmac? Its in a converted mill near Leigh. I went in for the 1st time recently. Really rate it. Will definitely be calling back.
Hey Rob! I kept going back and forth on that Parliament record and didn’t end up getting it. Of course now I’m regretting it, oh well that’s life. Glad you are enjoying it!

Hi Rob. Glad you got what you wanted. This is the first year that I've been really bothered about rsd. My daughters partner, his dad, and myself were also at wax and beans, but we got there at 10.00 on the Friday night. Ben had a huge allocation as you say and also provided 300 free hot pasties at 7.30! He did a video the next day showing what he had left, which included all four of the records that I picked up. I could have stayed in bed, strolled up on the Sunday and still got what I wanted! It was good fun though! Great pick-ups, enjoy!

Got the one by Fizz for me and Lennon and George Harrison (both) for friend plus both the Stones and 2 more but can’t remember what ones! Was a good buzz inside, early start but worth doing as you say best one fora few years!

Hi Carl I really enjoyed this years list .. I might grab that electrafixion album later in the year. I’m not that familiar with it I missed it when it was initially released .. the weller single is a nice taster for his new album it sounds decent thanks for watching Carl 👍
