This is amazing work. But what people may not realize is the extremely hard work of filming it all. Camera setup. Filming a movie. Then you go back to pick up your camera and clean myself up again. And then edit it all together. I myself have recently started making videos about bushcraft, so I really understand how hard it is. A beautifully made video shows that you really love what you do. Greetings from Belarus!

To avoid going out for peeing at night, you can use a water bottle or can with a lid so it won't smell or leak. Going out at night is such a toil. Just use a little bottle.

I like the idea of digging down to create a shelf and seating area. A fellow in Oregon did that with his TP tent but for some reason he excavated an area for his bed and kept the stove up high. He and I discussed this and next time he was going to put the stove in the low spot and sleep on the higher shelf. For him it was a matter of creating enough head room to stand inside - well you don't need clearance for the bed area but just in the working area.

    • @eanneham8613

    Hii..friendly wolf.
Beautiful and wonderful, and I enjoy the enchanting landscapes, especially under the snow.. But the most beautiful thing is to see a person making you this splendor and beauty with camping tools, as if you were in a scout.. Your green tent is good, and unfortunately we do not have this type... The important thing is all wonderful .. It reminded me of the beginnings of my youth. I was venturing camping in the woods, sea and desert... You really gave me a new breath of life while watching Video No. 2. Thank you very much... God bless you and keep you for your family.

It is interesting seeing how you set up and provide an environment to keep warm and safe. You can see how much work you have to do to get settled in for just one night. Frankly I don't see the appeal though of being in the middle of the woods with it freezing cold.

As a relative newcomer, and trying to learn best practices, watching someone cook in the place they’re going to sleep makes me wonder about all the cautions around bears. You read and hear so that you should never keep food or eat in your tent. You should keep food, and even toiletries, far away from your tent.
Then I watch this and our host is cooking next to, and “in” the tent, shoving meat wrappers into pants pockets (which will later be in the tent), etc. I’m not being critical, I’m really trying to understand how to think about bear risk. Is it overplayed in camping lore? If not, then what is the thinking here?
I personally have been following a strict “no food in or near the tent” rule, even if not in bear country. Am I being too cautious?
Edit: props to the host for this great production. Very relaxing and instructive to watch, even if it caused me minor alarm re the bear thing ;-)

Awesome location as usual, so relaxing watching you having fun in snow, you must have fun moving the camera to show the different aspects of what you're doing setting up hot tent, collecting wood for fire, battening the firewood down to start fire, fixing your coffee, etc that's alot of different angles to consider and you make it look so easy; have you been back to Rusty's area this winter

I have the exact tent but 4 person. Like yourself I would like to use this tent in the winter and I was wondering if you can do a video of how you put a stove Jack on this and other tents that do not come with stove jacks. That would be extremely helpful for us newbies. Thank you very much and I enjoy watching your videos. They give me and I'm sure others a lot of great ideas and how to's.
