I just love watching your videos like this where you show an item and tell its history! The respect and tenderness you give to those items is an example for others to follow!
Doris please do more of these! They are such an invaluable resource and I'd LOVE to see what other costume pieces you have rented out to movie productions
‘part of the process of letting go’ ... I am now mid way through my 60th year and putting a brush with cancer behind me. Doris you are such an inspiration to me. I have learned so much from you, your movies are so full of illuminating detail and you share your love of costume so vividly. I hope I am able to be joyful and celebrate ‘letting go’ of my past too, looking ahead to the next great adventure! xxx
Hi Doris, So glad business is back! Last year was a tough one and you were a warrior woman! Enjoyed this episode a lot. Thank you and your Staff for the effort.
It must be so very hard to let these pieces go.... I don't know how you do it! All your years of hunting and collecting will allow each of these pieces - and the people behind them the kudos they deserve. Amazing work Doris, now time for you to sit back and watch them carried forth into their new dominions. Hurry back and see us all again in NZ! Thankyou.
Hello Doris, Thank you for taking the time to do this video! I’m so happy for you that you are so busy and things are better now. You look beautiful and well! I so much enjoyed the beautiful vintage designs and the history with them! So much fun to watch and learn from you. Stay well!❤️

Hi there! I want to express my gratitude to you and all of the ones who make this possible. I have had a very tramatic year in 2019. Your videos have helped me through late nights of grief. I hope to one day meet you in person. I hope you are well and safe always.
I am so sorry to know you have had a difficult time in life and I hope that things have gotten better for you and your loved ones. Glad my Videos have been a pleasant distraction. Definitely plan a trip to LA and let me know in advance. I can give you a behind the scenes tour. Please take care. Doris
Doris-thanks once again for sharing your wealth of knowledge and your private collection! As a lover of everything vintage, I look forward to your videos! Glad you are so busy!! The word is out!
So happy to hear that you guys are super busy over there. Thank you for sharing these incredible pieces before they go off to new owners. You can't keep everything as they say, so even though it's bittersweet, a new life awaits them. You're amazing, Doris!
I love how she says she'll make the video brief as she couldn't possibly go on for over an hour talking about this as if we all wouldn't sit here for over an hour enraptured with her every word.
Hey Doris,. Great to see you posting again! I absolutely love movie wardrobe props! I love collecting myself. I can't believe that you can part with some of those pieces! You've said in the past that you would like to sell your business. I hope not, fashion just wouldn't be the same without you! I hope that you never retire. Long time no chat! Your looking great and healthy! I'm still painting 😉. Much love to you and your staff ❤️😘
Thanks for tuning in again. It’s been a challenging 2+ years and now at the ripe young age of 68, I need to focus on slowing down and having time to do the thing I want to do vs have to do. I’ll be around for at least another 2 years. In business that is 😉
What a fun peek into the costumer's world and a list of so many of the greats. I would add to that list Piero Tosi, nominated many times for his stunning period costumes.
You’re absolutely correct and thanks for the reminder! I remember Wayne Finkelman was mentored there and would always speak with such reverence when mentioning him. Thanks for your interest! Doris
I've been looking for a vintage Penny Lane style jacket for so long, but can never find anything over a size twelve. Very cool that they used your clothes for that movie.
Best wishes on the auction! I hope you are well, and happy to hear you are busy and prosperous. If you have time would love to see clips on the other auction items, perhaps video as your prepping for the auction and post after.? Don’t want to overwhelm, but would love to see the process and learn the history. I enjoy your appreciation of the art. Best wishes!
Excellent, very interesting...your always share such cool items! Glad your busy and things are picking up again 🙂🙂. I have been a subscriber for at least a couple of years now and I haven't gotten any notifications in months. You popped into my head tonight so I decided to check in.
Hi there. Wonder why you haven’t gotten notices? We have done several episodes in the past 4 months. Perhaps re-subscribing? Sorry about that! I appreciate your interest Doris

Lovely to see a new video with you Doris. You are looking well, happily. How did you feel about the Monroe dress at the Met Gala? (The garment was the moment, not the wearer)
Actually I was horrified. Press stunt that could have gone awry with a piece that is a national treasure. A replica would have worked just as well I think.
Honestly I have been so busy with work and time off (in Sam Miguel de Allende, Mexico right now) I have not even looked at the images. There are a lot of people and pundits that have pits to say and not sure I can add to that. I appreciate your vote of confidence. Thanks for your interest! Doris
