Flipping to the end and accidentally spoiling something is the worst I feel you 😂 book videos are the best I’m so into this. Sad shit is my favorite I just like to feel come on
What an interesting haul of diverse literature. I have the same edition of Dune and I agree the cover art is so eye catching. I also get mostly paperbacks especially with longer books because hardcovers do get unwieldy. I hope you enjoy it and get to watch the movie eventually (both are worth your time imho). Lovely book asmr. :)
I love that you said you love Ireland! I’m from Ireland and I think it’s so cool that Sally Rooneys books have become so popular! I loveddddd Normal People 😩
If you like literary fiction you should read latin american literature; those writers were among the best of the XXth Century (Borges, García Márquez, Carlos Fuentes, Julio Cortázar...) . BTW, this video is great
I was so confused when you turned Catcher in the Rye around and there was no back cover lmao but it’s a good story! one of my favorite books from high school
Telegraph Club has a special place in my heart, but it does discuss racism quite a bit! The Priory of the Orange Tree is also a beautiful novel with amazing imagery and world-building. Personally, I think A Little Life isn't good bc the amount of triggering events that took place was completely unnecessary :/ edit: okay i'm commenting as I watch and I TOTALLY AGREE with your timothee comments LOL. I cannot STAND the praise for CMBYN! and Conversations with Friends is my favorite Rooney novel!!!
Omg did you read Normal People? If so (without spoilers please) how does it compare? Also, I will add If We We’re Villains to my goodreads list, thank you!
@@jookieasmr6111 I personally didn't like normal people that much bc I found Connell to be annoying :/ imo Conversation with Friends is so much better because Frances is more understandable and less infuriating
I think reading is such a great art, but when it’s something you find uninteresting from school or work and it’s forced onto you, then I see how it can kind of sabotage the whole thing for you. :( But I say give it another shot if you’re up to it. It can be such an escape and rewarding experience!
Your future reads are so interesting, if I've had the chance to buy some books I would have acquired a very similar bunch of them. Besides, it was sooo relaxing. Loved it, thx
Dune is hardly basic of you :) it's a masterpiece of sci-fi. Read the backstory of all the research the writer did. Is catcher in the rye not 9-10th grade lit standard anymore? I read it in highschool...a modern classic Your ASMR is great... keep it up !
I meant basic in the sense that it’s resurfaced in pop culture now. I actually don’t know anything about the book, the author, or anything. And I never read catcher in the rye in high school, so not for me. :)
rewatching this 2 years later and you saying you don’t really like timothee chalamat is funny to me bc he’s considered one of the greatest actors of our generation now 😭😭
Wowwww someone who doesn t like Timothy I m shocked :)) I personally like him, but I didn t think there even EXIST people who don t like him. No hate tho, just shocked, since he is so popular
Please never stop doing these book videos! they are so relaxing and I love hearing your thoughts ❤️❤️

i highly recommend classical music while reading:’) it’s surprisingly relaxing! Just plain old piano, violin lots of it!

“Sorry for not uploading in a week” girl you uploaded 7 times in one month
i love your videos, your voice and you are very beautiful :)
your commentary on BHM was exactly my thoughts- it should be much more diverse and not so focused on black trauma and pain.
Lebron book🔥
Holden “phony” Caulfield

Because he thinks everyone else is a “phony.”
Anyways… mr.
