I've been practicing for hours now and first of: This is really all about the pressure. Second: This fan fells like magic happening in between your fingers! Amazing
Over about 7 months of practice, I finally got it. For those of u in the comments saying I can't do it, just remember that this is a very difficult move, and it will take lots of practice and dedication.
Its actually the pressure thing, I was really confused at first but when you don't care about dropping the cards and just release some pressure you will see that the cards will move more on their own.
I click on video I grab Cards I see the fan I immediately pause video I Hit power button on computer I gather all my cards and throw them out my upstairs window I then throw myself out the upstairs window
TheRussianGenius you're superb too bro I love your tutorials especially the color changes and when you say 'bastard'...keep up the good work bro 👏👏 and plz do a giveaway...its difficult for people like me who have to import decks from U.S😎
TheRussianGenius hey the Russian genius, your great, i gave up magic about a year ago but ever since i started rewatching your videos i have picked the cards back up, and have forgotten why i have them up in the first place, love your videos man. :) keep it up
Awesome tutorial! I want to add a tiny tip for beginners that might be very helpful. To prevent the fingers of the right hand from blocking the fan, just move completely out of the way both pinky and ring finger! You will see how the fan appears like magic and with time you can add those two fingers to the position he already explained. 👍
Holy crap! I'm finally starting to get this move. I've probably watched a dozen videos, but this is the one. Thank you for taking the time to teach this beautiful display! For what it's worth, the tip about moving your fingers out of the way once the riffle begins was critical for me to finally realize. I hope that's useful for others, too.
I tried this year's ago and gave up, I revisited it a few weeks ago and with this video and the rise magic video I finally got it. It didn't even take that long I just had to keep trying even when it seemed I hadn't made any progress at all.
I've been doing the riffle fan for about 1 month now and at first I did 2 finger then 3 then 1 but after all my fails and others tutorials I came back to this watched it in .25 and am now better than ever Thanks😀🎉
Absolutely beautiful fan. I could get about 1/2 to 3/4 around with just 5 minutes of practice. Just a couple pointers to others from my experience: 1. Remember to dribble, don't riffle. If you haven't aleady, I definitely suggest watching the Anaconda tutorial, "Riffle Fan" really is sort of a misnomer. 2. When you apply pressure with your top hand, don't just push down; try to only put pressure above your bottom hand's index finger. This creates pressure on the pivot, and frees the fan to swing around. I hope this helps someone, I absolutely love the look of this move.
I started to learn this about a week ago and found it like most people quite difficult then by chance I had a deck of rough and smooth cards which I've never used so i turn them into a regular deck and 100% success rate with them now I'm getting a full fan within a week not bad I must add obviously not as good a fan as the expert
Awesome really nice this was the first time I learned the riffle fan... your explanation is really good!! thank you so much. I had a bit problem in rotating it, bit I'll still practice. thanks.
This is one of the most detailed tutorials I've ever seen! Thank you so much for this video, I'm going to learn it right now because I can't do normal fans because my decks are too broken and I don't want to spent too much money on cards... yet
Dimitri looks so serious from the beginning to the end of the tutorial, except the final moment, lolzzz. The way he teaches in the tutorial is way improved than in the Monuments DVD :D I almost thought that he will give tips on how to spin the whole riffle fan after display it, hehe
Thanks bro 👍. I really like the way you explain how to do the fan . I've been watching some other guys video and the way they explain how to do the fan, I am still confuse untill I saw your video, it is so nice and very clear. Thankyou👍👍
Awesome video, to the points but beautiful shots all in itself. Thanks for the proper teaching. I tried searching for a good tutorial on this a month ago, couldn't find any. But then this video popped into my subscription box~
wow man.. i mean thanks and all but you never explained how to actually get them to fan, the revolution effect or whatever... i was here going thought all the video waiting for the section called... make em fan... and nothing came.
One great tip I can share with you after trying to learn this move: Dribble the cards slower than an usual dribble. I noticed that if you dribble the cards at a slower speed it helps to spread the cards wider as it gives more time to each card to distance from each other. Hope this helps.
I’ve not really bothered with xcm or magic in years, since I’ve came back this move caught my eye, I saw Chris Ramsey do it and was amazed, now the inventer has a tutorial, amazing! Thank you!
I learned from another video to not use my ring or pinkie finger. I came here and tried with those fingers and just couldn't get it. I tried removing my ring and pinkie fingers and suddenly the card trick worked perfectly. this video helped me get down the basics.
This is amazing. I watched the disturbed reality video about this move, been trying it for like 2 days. No joy. Watched this, nailed it. Excellent tutorial. I'm defo going to pick up monuments.
Yep, the first time I tried this, all my cards fell, but after a while it won't fall, then one day when you just decide to do it, it will almost be perfect.
the tuto it was 10/10, except that I was hoping that you will teach how to spin the riffle fan like you did in welcome video, excluding my expectation, that is perfect. keep it guy's.
That's the 'Best' explanation of doing a Riffle Fan that I've seen. Awesome angles. Great technique. Great explanation of each stage and each hand. Sold. Subscribed and linked. Cheers mate.
You're either putting too much pressure between your hands, or the deck is too old and sticky :p Also make sure that only your index nail touches the bottom card :)
@@omarmostafa9274 from what I've seen, the riffling action is almost identical from the anaconda dribble. Now I still have yet to do the riffle fan myself but from observation and other videos people have suggested getting that dribble down pretty well will help a lot!
I've watched a tutorial like two years ago and I gave up in like the first 10 minutes because the explanation was poor. Now that I've watched this, I learned it in the span of about a day and a half. Great tutorial.
you've learned it right? should I use a broken in deck or a new one? I'm using a new one I got and the cards just slide everywhere around 130° into the fan, any tips?
well regardless, i'm sure hundreds of people will appreciate this tutorial over the disturb reality one any day, myself included. You guys are amazing!
thank you so much for making this, and especially thanks so much for the tip @ 6 minutes, that's the exact problem i've been having while learning this, and my fans are already getting better by the end of the video!
I learned the fy fan by watching videos and no tutorials I've seen just Bout every video about this dam fan and can't get it half way but this video gives me a new hope

I've been practicing for hours now and first of: This is really all about the pressure. Second: This fan fells like magic happening in between your fingers! Amazing
You got it after hours? I usually quit things like this after 30 mins. You give me hope.
Over about 7 months of practice, I finally got it. For those of u in the comments saying I can't do it, just remember that this is a very difficult move, and it will take lots of practice and dedication.
Matt T its not a difficult move it is medium
Christopher beltran go fuck yourself
Matt T good for you. My fan is not so great but hope one Day to do it. Could it be the riffling ?
Things likes this, you'll get better as time goes by. So the more you are used to handling cards the faster you'll learn it.
@@sren1446did you get it lol after 6 years
who doesnt get this at ALL
Its actually the pressure thing, I was really confused at first but when you don't care about dropping the cards and just release some pressure you will see that the cards will move more on their own.
Also remember to tilt forward and right (or left if you hold the deck in your left hand)

Best tutorial for this fan so much detail. All other tutorials ive seen did not clarify the fact that it is more of a dribble then riflle
Mine literally just riffles it doesn't fan.
same! i'm just basically holding it weirdly and riffling.
Ross Yenerich same over here xD
AppealingHalo3 Dont worry if you cant get it immediately. Its a pretty hard move, and will take time.
I spent al afternoon yesterday trying it. And i already get like half of the fan :D

Awsome card fan! This one is my NR.1 fan....no doubt
does fanning powder help?
nope, not for this fan imo
ok thanks !
Awesome finishing touch at the end
