Man, I do not comment often, but this is absolute gold! There is so much in this video! The move is sick, but the fact that you explain not only how to do it, but also how to use it is so useful. And the bigger picture at the end is the icing on the cake. I started magic last year while in my late thirties, I feel I have so much to learn and wish I had started earlier, and all your videos are so helpful. I am so grateful for all the content you put out there, so an enormous thank you!
I'm 19 and started in a more serious way now and i feel I'm too late lol. This comment gives me a lot of hope and i wish you the best of luck and don't worry lol everyone has to start somewhere
I watched this video 3 days ago and have been trying to do it for the past few days and last night before bed I finally got the card to shoot and I caught it and it was the best feeling! I got so hyped hahahaah thank you Alex! Much love :)
What amazes me more about sleight of hand is that the sheer things you can do with a pack of cards with your hands. That concept coming from being a classical pianist. Artist and what not is that things you can do wit your hands is amazing. Some would say...magical
Wow, really excellent tutorial. Easy to understand explanation, right video length.. And nice building of each step. Can't wait to try this, and view your other videos. Thanks for making it!
Cool lesson and the advice from the end was indeed one of the best things to keep in mind. As you said in other videos these fancy moves are not for show off, but to stand up. Thanks, Alex!
merci pour vos excellents TUTOS ils sont parmi les meilleurs que j'ai pu voir. la qualité d vos explication est remarquable MERCI ENCORE et dans l'attente des suivantes...
you are great Alex ... couldn't do this move ... watched a lot of videos with it ... nobody explained it well ... it was the gripppppp ... i was doing it same time when watching your video and wow ... the card was flying out ... omg ... i love how you explain man ... respect !!! ... P.S : always loving your intro ... never get bored of it ... and i watched all your videos in this pandemic ... showing the trick and then ... yo yo yo =))) love it ...
What you said at the end really hit home with me, as I have been practicing cardistry all day, and Wondering where I could honestly fit it in without making myself just look like just someone who can use a stacked deck
Wow. I really love how well you teach and that advice at the end. So many card-guys showboat and it makes it seem more their skill and less magic. Thanks for all you do brutha! ♥
Awesome tutorial! One thing that helped me as a very beginner: focus on the middle and ring finger while practising to pull down with the pinky...in my case these two fingers always wanted to be a part of the movement and really concentrating on them to stay away from the deck helped me Maybe I was able to help some of you, maybe not :D
This is the best explanation of how to do it I've seen! I Personally have really tiny hands so I struggle with my pinky so I've trained my ring finger to do it - still getting there but so much better than before I watched this video!
Hi Man, I just discovered this video and it's only and simply "AWSOME"!! I just need to have time to do the moves (learn an learn for hours "or days"). Your tutorial is very "impressionant" (I'm French) I'm looking forward to see others videos from you , maybe less difficult; lol. I love card magic and this video is realy, realy one of my bests. Hope my English is not so bad (never using goolgle) Thx a lot. Regards; Jean-Marc
Thankyou sooo much. I have been trying to lean to do a top shot for a long time--I was beginning to think it just wasn't in the cards for me (pun intended). That is because I watched the wrong videos. You, showing the proper first position, has changed everything. I can do it now. Not well, but I'm on my way. Again--thankyou.
Oh my god, you did it! After a week and a half of trying and failing miserably at doing the top shot, this is the video that really made me understand so that I could see what I was doing wrong! I've now shot the whole decks worth for the first time, and it feels great! Thank you! ^^
The first position you talk about with the thumb and index finger is key! Once I got that the rest was much easier! Thank you so much! I am going to search out your course and buy it right now. Thanks again -:)
Oki. So at first I could not even get close to pull the card with my pinkie. I mean yea it’s not a typical move for sure. After ten minutes and when I stopped thinking too much it started to work. But my whole hand hurts. But it’s getting there. Thank you for such a detail tutorial.
Love your tricks and toutorials! Hve been your fan for a year and a half! I've been a magician for 4-5 years, and UA-cam does not have much to offer after a while, do you have any tips to where I can learn new tricks?
You are the best, Buddy Your videos are very productive I personally love them a lot Watching you is like the most productive thing I do during the panademic 👍👍👍 ❤❤❤
I know it's a relatively simple flair, but, the single card reveal flair done at around 1:40 has been giving my a bit of a head scratch (it's not the subject of the video, just done quickly in passing). I kind of have the grip figured out, but on the thumb flick I end up tossing out multiple. Any chance a quick tutorial video for it exists from the othe rperspective?
I've learned more moves, slights and routines on this video than all the videos I've seen in my whole life as a magician! Thanks for this Alex, I'ts a real cool vid!
Love your videos man down with COVID and decided to learn a new hobby and my inner kid came back out and said how bout magic ✨✨✨ 🎩 and your videos are more than just here's how to do it ... It's also hey here's how to perform! Liked subscribed and followed
woah… I went from “this is impossible” and giving up after 5 minutes to coming back about a week later and watching again and messing around and within 10 minute I was spitting cards out and I just got one to actually fly off straight haha I’m not saying I can consistently do it like Big Al Pan himself but its enough to get me excited to keep practicing. Basically to learn something I have to be able to get a glimpse of progress and then I am absolutely hooked. so if you are like me just keep doing it, get the form and then try to flick the card out. I may have a little advantage because I practiced the back palm vanish compulsively for like a year and built up some weird strength in my hand I never had before. but this is absolutely possible and if you can’t do it you will be surprised how quickly you can build up strength in your hand. Last tip: try it with a half deck you might have a little more strength and control with a smaller stack
I do this trick a lot after a couple fake shuffles when I'm performing at my school or when I have nothing better to do at my job. Thanks for the tutorial
Ive been doing this wrong the entire time!! LOL I've watch Lenard Green DVD some time ago and think i know how to to that without paying attention to the details(It was a VHS convert quality) Thank you for making these tutorial, very easy to follow
That was a nice ending. I'm nowhere near that level yet, but I was think of a trick where you show someone a certain conrtolled number and later on say that the following numbers are going add up to that number. Idk. I'm just now relearning from a novice level, but I could see it working.
@alexpandrea around 13:00 You train the spectator to watch the pinky. That's not good. Better Idea is to show a card from the middle of the deck face up, do the turnover pass and than: boom. Mind-blowing. 😁
See who you are !!! You are the one who flirts with the evening with your words..and the evening loses a garment in front of you..It resembles you with the purity of your soul*** ... **and resembles it with your creativity Keep going and don't deprive me of your creativity * *********************************I LOVE YOU SO MUCH ****************************

I'm 21 and just started better late then never
16 and just started, but even now I feel I little late because I had messed with it before when I was 12. XD
The only thing y’all late too is school fools
The top shot is like the most addictive move ever!! I love playing around with the variations and you teach it well Alex
My pinky pain and you are the cause.thanks for tutorial.
I watched this video 3 days ago and have been trying to do it for the past few days and last night before bed I finally got the card to shoot and I caught it and it was the best feeling! I got so hyped hahahaah thank you Alex! Much love :)
I’ve been learning cardistry for about a month now and in the time of the video I got the hang of it and the card flies out of my hand it feels great!
@14:29, how are you getting the cards to stick to the fingers ?
Pro tip... do not practice this with a cup of coffee nearby or your King of Clubs will get free swimming lessons 😬
The expert in a move is a man who can do it in the wrong way to elustrate it..HATS OFF ALEX..♥️fromKERALA

Probably the best teacher i've ever seen
thank you so much! took me just an hour to shoot the cards, but in order to catch face up or down in another hand that's whole other level!

You are the best in card magic ... much better than anyone
What you said at the end really hit home with me, as I have been practicing cardistry all day, and Wondering where I could honestly fit it in without making myself just look like just someone who can use a stacked deck
Was searching for this today, and got the answer right after.

Great video! What is the name and could you please offer a tutorial on the little flourish/production at 1:44?
This is the best explanation of how to do it I've seen! I Personally have really tiny hands so I struggle with my pinky so I've trained my ring finger to do it - still getting there but so much better than before I watched this video!
Oh my. I am so inconsistent but when you get the flick right it's soo satisfying. Nice tutorial, thanks!
Thank you, the way you do the tutorial is very clear and detailed

Million Times Better than therussiangenius. The level of detail about the pre-launch hand position doesn't just help, it's everything. Thanks
By far lanark green's top shot is my favourite move of all time. Thanks for providing an in depth tutorial on it!!😀😀😀👍
