      HE WOULD HAVE NEVER GONE TO JAIL AT A 1ST PLACE!! I would like to mention a bit different topic now, watched the Woman Of an Hour last week. Maybe it`s all a fiction maybe not, however the scene, where the girl form the audience recognize the killer in a dating tv show an go to the police station...WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BACK THEN, RIGHT? NO ONE WOULD EVER TAKE HER SERIOUSLY!!
      SAME THING WOULD SURELY HAPPEN WITH JOSE...LET`S SAY LYLE GOES TO THE POLICE TO REPORT THE ABUSE, GUESS WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? THEY WOULD MAKE A LAUGH AT HIM...PROBABLY WOULD BE CALLING JOSE OR WHATEVER...AND WE ALL KNOW WHAT JOSE WOULD DO NEXT...CANNOT EVEN IMAGINE THE BRUTALITY WAITING FOR LYLE AND ERIK IN SUCH SCENARIO...

      But as I recall, this was not heard. It was all about the boys not being able to wait for their parents to die to get their inheritance. Agreed! And she has a background knowledge of the actual defendants,and the victim in this case which says a lot!! I'm praying for both of these men and their families,friends and loved ones right now that they are released, and quickly!! 🙏🏻🤞🏻They have more than done their time, they have not only rehabilitated themselves but helped with others and continue to still do that and I think that says mountains about who they are as people,and how they've grown regardless of what they were sentenced to. At one point they knew there was never a chance that they would get out and they still chose to do the right thing and be positive and not let that stop them from making a difference and contributing to the world in their own way. I think a lot of the things that they have done for the prison system is amazing and was absolutely an necessary void that really needed to be filled. It's just not fair to keep them behind bars any longer, we would never put a young person behind bars nowadays with the circumstances and the evidence against the abuser as there is in this case,that being not only physical evidence,but many many many different peoples corroborating a lot of the alleged crimes against the boys at the time, And that's also including immediate family members (which says a lot!), these men aren't lying and they never were, anybody with a little common sense and empathy who watched them up on the stand knows there's no way they were lying about what they had endured there their entire childhoods. It's devastating when you really think about it. I couldn't imagine my dad doing that to me or my mother knowing about it or doing the same, It's just horrible and I can't imagine how much they just wanted it to stop and be over with, they just wanted to be free of having no choice in the matter and having their own dad violate them in such a cruel and sick way, can anyone imagine what that would be like to have the people that are supposed to love you and protect you and do the right thing by you and take care of you, and here they are doing these monstrous ax to you??!! Unreal, I can't imagine what that must do to the adolescent mind. Just horrific. We know sooo much more about things like what they went through nowadays, and we would never put someone behind bars for defending themselves, or doing something to put an end to being "graped"... let alone put two very young people behind bars forever, just for doing the only thing I think they thought they could do in 1989.
      I agree murders never the answer,but again this was a different time, people didn't speak of these things or have much knowledge about it, and for the people that did know about it, they definitely didn't think that it happened behind the doors of the rich and wealthy,especially to two athletic,strong, good looking young men. We now know that to be a complete falsehood, So let's free these men already!!! 💯✔️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

People are always calling attention to how they went on a spending spree...SO what?! Wouldn't you feel relieved that you will never experience being raped again?...by your own father or molested by your mother? The only loved they showed(if they loved them) is providing them with money or things bought by money..idk psychology is weird maybe they were trying to comfort themselves by what they just did and I believe they didn't have a choice. It was the only way to end it and they were filled with rage, and I don't blame them. Please, I hope they will be released so they can enjoy the rest of their lives in the freedom they never had.

Many music executives like him abused kids who wanted to succeed and were basically sold by their parents for fame. People are shocked that the mother was complicit, look at someone like Justin Bieber's mother sending him at 15 to spend 48 hours with a 40-year-old man, or Usher's mother who sent him for months when he was only 13.

I'm about the same age as these guys and I am trying to imagine having the last 35 years wiped out, since high school essentially. I can't even imagine it. They have been punished. Almost the entire extended family, evidently, wants them freed. Everyone things to think Jose was a genuinely terrible person. There seems to be widespread belief that Kitty was an enabler.
    Did the sons do a terrible thing? Yes, shooting your parents like they did is a terrible, horrible, violent thing. Were they violently abused by their father? There is evidence they were. Would that screw with your mind? Yes, it would. Does most of the family believe them? Yes. Does the family want them released? Yes. I just don't see what purpose is served keeping them in prison any longer. Apparently they have good prison records.
    The people who want them to stay in prison until they die of old age seem just to get off on punishment to me. What purpose does it serve at this point. I guess you believe they the two are unalterably, inherently evil.

      @youkcaralifestyle1617 Місяць тому +14

      @@MeadeFatLoss of course they lied about it initially because they didn't want to be punished, which is fair enough. I think it is completely understandable behaviour in the first instance. they felt they were finally getting some vengeance for all they suffered and they probably didn't think they deserved to go to jail in the initial stages of shock. they did not do it for inheritance, they were already rich. Maybe Lyle went on a bit of a crazed shopping spree (trauma response), but all Erik did was commit the money to hiring a tennis coach, probably to avoid the feelings of guilt that eventually set in and made him confess. Don't forget that they were only arrested due to Erik's confession. He confessed, he wasn't forced to. If he didn't, who knows what would have happened. They may have gotten away with it. I think if parents treat their offspring as cruelly at these parents did, then they deserve what is coming to them. The parents were demons. They were not parents. Parent love and care for their kids, not abuse and torture them. Their parents deserved no loyalty. Many parents abuse their kids because they are purely evil... if the child reacts to mistreatment and kills the parents, under no circumstances should they be held accountable to murder in the first degree.

      Erik testified at the first trial that his father told him countless times over the years that if he told anyone about the sex, he would kill him. So, Erik told no one; not even his brother, Lyle about it until a few days before they both killed their parents. After the father tried to r*pe Erik for the last time, Erik told his mother about the sexual abuse. She replied. "You think I don't know that? Do you think I'm stupid?" The Menendez father was very rich and well-connected. If Erik had reported to police, it might have only made things worse for him. Remember, the sex abuse had been going on since Erik was 6 years old - long before he learned it was abnormal or illegal.

      Do you realise they were children and groomed and terrified of their parents, and then when they got older, they were still controlled and abused by their parents. A lifetime of abuse is hard to escape from, physically AND mentally. Your questions show how oblivious you are, not to mention lacking in empathy. And, very similar to the questions asked of women in violent relationships: "why didn't she just leave or go to the police?" Leaving is the most dangerous time for a woman when she is most likely to get killed by her partner, and most of the time if they go to the police the police can't do anything until something had happened (usually the woman being killed ultimately), and I have no doubt in my mind this is similar in these ways. The brothers truly believed their lives were in danger, and if they had gone to the police, in the 90s when male r*pe and sexual abuse victims were not even considered a thing, what do you think would have happened?? They would have been laughed out of the police station.
      THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE THEY FELT THEY COULD DO TO ESCAPE THE ABUSE

    One big problem with the court system is when evidence is kept out that can literally be the difference between a fair trial where all factors are considered & just railroading someone into jail. So many times jurors later on say if I knew that one thing I would not have convicted. Judges are not infallible. They're human & make wrong decisions & bad choices just like the rest of us & we see them do it a lot.
