@kathygrosvenor7900 I agree with the person that said that and its because he's been in there long enough for something that was wring yes but also in a way justified because I fully believe they were both abused in all ways by their father, including sexually and thats the worst one. Parents are supposed to protect. Not to see their sons as something to abuse in any way they choose. The mother is just as guilty for not doing anything to stop it like getting them out of there and leaving him. I watch the videos, then I read the transcript. She wanted fame or infamy, which ever came first. While watching his televised trial on TV and becoming enthralled with this young, wealthy, kid, ( he was all of 19) her next move in her new obsession was to write him a letter. Her end goal was a relationship. If you see the situation from the other side, you find a young, entitled, son of wealthy parents. A monstrous murder of both parents by his brother and himself, for whatever the reason, landed them both in prison for life. Yes. People can change in prison. I can’t digest the possibility that out of the thousands of letter writers, he fell in love with Tammi. I would expect inmates to take advantage of these delusional women who claim true love after watching them on TV. His brother married twice in prison. He’d had a three year affair with a woman when he married someone else. They divorced and he married woman # 1. It’s not the real world for them. The women who get involved wouldn’t stand a chance with these two on the outside. Good or bad, it elevates the women to marry these famous or infamous guys.
Her husband passed away and left her behind and their 9month old baby. I imagine Erik got her through her grief and they bonded. They have been married for 25 years now and the little girl considers Erik her dad. Because her own dad died when she was a baby. I guess I personally would not take my child into prison and keep my love life separate but we’re not in her shoes so I’m not gonna judge. We would only know what that situation feels like if we were in it. I hope it works out for them.
What is truly nutty!?? Her former husband abused her other daughter, turned himself in, then killed himself soon afterwards!! Now, talking about the trust and connection these two have for each other. In fact, out of hundreds of the letters Erik read in prison, he specifically set hers aside and started making a connection... They don't say "Don't judge until you walk in their shoes" for nothing. I no doubt believe these two have only love and Trust for each other!! Hope they embrace each other soon...
Right? To me is ridiculous, and the fact her child calls him dad does not sit right to me. Now I support the Menendez brothers and I hope they’re released but this Tammi woman doesn’t have my respect.

That’s when these relationships fall apart. It just happened with Gypsy Blanchard. Everything was fine while she was incarcerated. She gets out and within 3 months her marriage was over.
Nothing romantic about it. She lives far away from where he is imprisoned and hardly goes to see him now. She is also much older than he is so that makes an impact.

I read a book years ago that discussed women with "intimacy" issues. Some women don't realize they have intimacy issues and blame the distance on the elusive man they are chasing. One example was given of a true story of a woman who was the perfect "prisoner's wife." She was safe with her intimacy issues while he was always behind a glass. She was the devoted wife for years and years. When he got out, this particular woman couldn't handle the intimacy. I think they both will get out of prison. I'm curious to see how things work out.

I was probably not willing to risk the level of pain in something more deeper. This book helped me understand that I was part of the problem when I was always blaming the guy for being non-committal. I received confirmation when one day I thought he was trying to get closer, and I was SHOCKED because I began to panic. I was so shocked at my reaction. It was what I wanted, strived for, and waited for. I had another surprise regarding my weight. I struggled with my weight my whole life, but when I want, I have the discipline to lose even 90 pounds. I would go way up and then way down. One time when I was planning to lose all of the weight again, something from my subconscious sneaked in and shocked me. I had some resistance because losing all of that weight and being so skinny, I would lose my "suit of armor." @kathygrosvenor7900 I agree with the person that said that and its because he's been in there long enough for something that was wring yes but also in a way justified because I fully believe they were both abused in all ways by their father, including sexually and thats the worst one. Parents are supposed to protect. Not to see their sons as something to abuse in any way they choose. The mother is just as guilty for not doing anything to stop it like getting them out of there and leaving him. Not if Erik is Gay.. she said, he’s perfectly alright without the consummation of the marriage.. he also considers her daughter from her previous marriage as his own.. all this with him being a prisoner..
I have no idea how people date online either. People lying about who they are, using heavy filters. How people "connect" online is mind-boggling. It's like marrying a jailbird. HOW? 🤔
@@SimV239who told you that he is gay? you are still hearing the stories of the Ryan Murphy tv series and just because Erik's father called him gay doesn't mean he was gay, he is not gay and he dated women, plus those who have suffered from SA have strong traumas and lead to confusion of knowing if you are gay or not especially when your own father rapes you at a young age and tells you that you are gay
I feel like it’s not fair to either person because one is imprisoned and can be writing others and the other is free and can be dating others. Companionship is good, but locking each other down when neither can experience the true them doesn’t sound healthy. Not only that, but to be married when you met, expose your child(ren) to a tough situation, focus on a man after your own child went through trauma, and being very older than him (another power imbalance) is very selfish on her part. I couldn’t do that to someone who experienced an already controlled and traumatic life even if they initiated the romance because I know better.

I really wanted to love and be loved, but I think on a subconscious level, I felt "safer" in the "infatuation" "intoxication" phase and chose or stuck with guys who had the same problem. I had some resistance because losing all of that weight and being so skinny, I would lose my "suit of armor." Again, I learned something about myself and what was going on behind the scenes with my subconscious, and it was always about "protecting" myself even when I was not aware of it. Best of luck to you! I would be scared to death for him to be released and live with me. Nothing is going to take away the fact that he shot killed his mother and his father. no matter what happened to him. He was an adult and could have left and never spoken to him again. It wasn’t necessary for them to kill both parents.
They didn't feel they could run away cause their dad would find them.
@@detectivedaffodil437 Oh, what a great excuse.
I would feel the same way!
Adult?! Just barely! People need to educate themselves. 18 is still a child, brains aren't even full formed until 25 and that affects our decision making! When you turn 18 you over night just become a whole responsible human being, huh?! Such an ignorant statement. 🙄
The father made it clear if he ever told, he’d be killed. Why would he not believe him?
This woman was called to be his wife
FREE THE BROTHERS!!!!
She sounds like a weak woman though
No freedom
Who called her@? What?
This women must have been instrumental in keep him going strong after all what he went through !!! That is the unconditional love he never received from his parents ! Whether they survive or not as couple in the future it does not matter but hoping it will work out for them cause in the end she was there when he needed it more !!! God bless this couple I wish you all the very best ! Erik broke my heart after watching the Netflix series he just deserve better ! Their parents were monsters !!!
You are crazy wanting your 5 minutes of fame…marriage to someone like this is psychologically messed up and any psychiatrist or therapist will tell you the same you are extremely naïve
The continued abuse his brother and him went through is unforgivable, not what they did to defend themselves
Wait till he gets out. That’s gonna be the real test. An entire generation of 20 year olds are wanting him.
They're thirsting over footage from 35 years ago. I'm sure very few of them are interested in the 55 year old version of him.
@@renegademuse They're young, and their "sympathy" for Erik is as deep as a wading pool. The minute Erik does something they deem "unforgivable," they will want him back in prison. A few months ago they had the same "sympathy" for Drake Bell, now he's out and Erik and Lyle Menendez are all the rage!😁😁🤣
I can imagine women in their 40s or 50s being interested in them not any younger
Enough is Enough FREE The Brothers😢😢😢❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
No. Thank you very much
what's this drumming background
Time served! I hope they get out of prison
What year was this interview conducted?
20 años más o menos.
People this woman left her husband for another man. And not just any man, a man in Prison, convicted of cold blooded murder. There is something fundamentally wrong with this woman.
Her now dead husband is a child molester.
@@lnqxr you’ll still have idiots defending her like she’s the Virgin Mary
@@MissysAngelsshe was writing him while she was still married. She knew what she was doing.
Did you educate yourself on everything known about her first? Her "husband" tried to SA her daughter, she found out, husband got put in jail and unalived himself. I understand why she would feel empathy towards an SA victim, and why she would value an emotional connection with a man she deems innocent and pure-hearted over a physical one.
@@lyannabucket2772so what I’m hearing is she’s only attracted to criminals
For those who question the stability of a relationship becoming carnal after years of physical distancing on the part of those involved being prevented from physically consummating that marriage, I recognize that there are other examples of failed relationships in similar situations, which does not invalidate this point of view, but it is also true that since he was a child Erik has learned to face the emotional and mental challenges that life has offered them and putting into practice a marriage that has lasted decades will not be the most difficult challenge for him, which deep down in his soul is what he most desires for his life after all the history of suffering in his life.
Really do not understand women marrying someone they did not know in their life, who is in prison for life.
Just don't get it.
In hindsight at 66 he was just a boy. I pray with all my heart knowing now what SA brings to lives that he gets released. That they both get released and that Eric and his incredible wife will flourish!
Free the brothers!
I’m confused here 0:52. So she’s married before? Before marrying Erik?
Ya her husband died
Her husband ended himself after he was caught SAing their daughter
If he planned his parent brutal murder, I certainly would not marry him. How do you know he will not turn on you.
Hold on..towards the end, she said that he endures the same type of abuse in prison that he grew up with at home!? 😭
15 shots. Thats beyond brutal. If they are lying about the molestation, then they truly are evil.
@The-Portland-Daily-Blink confirmed the molestation? Or that the dad was a disciplinarian unlike most of the push over Beverly hills dads
Menudo came forth as a victim, so seems they are not lying. Knowing how dark the entertainment world is (think P. Diddy), it fits the air of Hollywood. The brutality of the crimes fit the personal damage they experienced.
Planned, premeditated and covered up. It was murder.
@@melodymusik261 n how many of those in Hollywood r lying n chose the lifestyle? Again, we don't know any of the accusations r true. But ur saying they are w out facts. All heresy.
@@opena1759theirs proof. The Menudo boy band confirmed they were sexually abused at Joses home (the father's home). The cousines of Erik & Lyle confirmed they were told by both brothers they was abused. They found out at a young age at like 10 about the abuse. Erik has a scar on his leg of his father's abuse. You cant look at those videos of Erik bawling on stand and believe he is an Oscar actor. Those tears at age 18 are very real.
Read an article where it says that her husband had been raping her teenage daughter. He got arrested and committed suicide while in police custody. Maybe Tammi and Erik bonded over their trauma.
Talk about living in a fantasy world! This married woman begins writing to a kid in an incredibly high profile, internationally followed case. Convicted along with his brother for the murder of their parents, “Tammi” (of course) falls in “love” with the inmate after writing him fan mail. He receives so much mail it takes him a month to respond. Game on! She has to win a Menendes! (I wonder if she tried Kyle first. Hmmmm...) Hey! Let’s get married! Let’s have some fantasy kids in our fantasy life! What does Eric care ? He’s in prison for life. In the meanwhile, “Tammi” now has self-importance. She’s married to a famous Menendes brother! Wow, huh? The rest of the fairytale is as predictable as Cinderella.....if Prince Charming we’re in prison for murder, and if Cinderella would feel important for the first time in her life. A celebrity!
“The abuse continues in the prison” 😔😔 i hope its not what I think it is
Guess no one has heard the most recent news. In a documentary on Netflix that Lyle abd Erik were in, he said she was worried about her business she owns in Las Vegas that people will know she is married to him because of the movie Monsters coming out. She is now 63 years old and looks different from this.
Yep. And she hasn’t visited since at least 2018, when the brothers were finally reunited.
Also I have always supported Lyle and Erik. Since 1990 I’ve wanted them to be set free. However, some of the comments here, good lord. Some women truly live in a cuckoo fantasy land. 😬
@@JusticefortheMemendezbrotherswhy are you making up things?
It's just money to put on their books
Kinda wild that she was married while talking to him. I wonder if her husband was like WTF... I would be so weirded out if my husband or wife was talking to an inmate.
Sorry, but it's wrong to keep writing to a man in prison while being married. This is an adulterous relationship.
Her husband was SAing his daughter so..
It’s a story written down on a piece of paper. Seems real but when the door is unlocked, reality begins.
I don’t have to be with him to realize how beautiful person he’s. I take a one look at him and I see that.
go seek help from a mental health specialist… urgently…
“Do you think Erik will ever forgive himself?”
“No. He will never…..”
