Their more metal (?) songs are Rinne (MV) Black Hole (Official Live, paired with Manners) From Now On (MV instrumental) Giovanni (audio from album Unseen World) I Still Seek Revenge (audio from Unseen World) Hate? (Official Live, more hard rock but fairly metallic) Secret My Lips (MV, multi-genre with hard rock, metal, jazz)
I was a metalhead. Then I listened to B-M. Now I’m a maidiac. If you wanna hear some intense/violent songs : Warning!, Shambles, Black Hole If you wanna just be blown away by very straight forward rock/hard-rock songs : Dice, Choose me, Freedom (live version).
Yeah this song was created for an anime so still not quite their usual sound but very close. You can't really tell how special Band-Maid is til you see them live and hear that difference. I had heard songs and nothing clicked until I saw the live version of Real Existence, that song sent me on a journey that I'll ride til I die. But if you do really love the heavier stuff (which I do too) Band-Maid is more traditional hard rock but dialed up to the Nth degree. But these ladies are the biggest Japanese rock band outside of Babymetal.
They generally go back and forth between Japanese and English. This is an anime focused song. You need to check out more, check out Domination Live, Hate? Live, Rinne MV, Dice MV, Blooming MV, Warning MV, Moratorium or heck even Secret My Lips MV. I get where you are coming from, a little more consumable than LoveBites, Nemophila, Hannebe, etc... but Band-Maid has found their way to become my favorite between them all ... granted I'm old now, so... hehe. Check out more! Thanks for the reaction.
Ouh là là, Band-AniMaid! Thx Grendizer U... and you too, Head Banger of the Guild! 🤘🤖 New album "Epic Narratives" drops Sept. 25, 2024. Contains 14 songs: Memorable, Shambles, Bestie, Protect You, SHOW THEM (BAND-MAID with The Warning), Toi et Moi, Magie, Forbidden Tale, Go Easy, Brightest Star, The One, Letters To You, TAMAYA!, and Get To The Top. Order now at CDJapan for bonuses.
Thank you for the honest reaction. As you said, you're into power metal, so you like the Lovebites and Hanabie. It's good you can appreciate other great music and not lock yourself into one genre. Band-Maid's discography is all over the place, as they mix and match genres in the same song, which makes for a wild ride. I think there a few songs which will probably sit better with you like "Rinnie" OMV, "Moratorium" Live, "From Now On" OMV and "Black Hole" OLV (this one comes as a two-for with "Manners", which shows a different side of the Maids. A funky, bluesy, groovy feel). But wouldn't stop with just those, as there is so much great music by this band. Enjoy the journey. Subbed. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
They are often contracted to create anime intros and outros, this is from an anime Grendizer U outro. They have several others: Shamble, Sense, Glory, and Different. To hear their true forays into hard rock and metal-ish, have a listen to Moratorium, Puzzle, After Life, I Still Seek Revenge, and Hate?
A lot of Japanese bands intersperse their lyrics with English and Miku (the lyricist for Band-Maid is really good at this - including puns across the two languages). As for why Japanese bands are so good musically? Music is integral to their culture and kids have plenty of opportunity to learn instruments privately and at school. Many schools have music clubs where bands form and develop (and this is true of vocalists as well). All of Band-Maid started very young and their coming together was nothing short of divine providence. They all had performing experience before the band formed and for the most part had worked together in one way or another before Miku gathered them (the exception being Saiki, the lead vocalist - there's a whole story there that illustrates why this band is so tight as they have absolutely no ego and adore one another - just as their fans adore them). For music more to your taste, check out some of their official live videos. Most people used to recommend 'Domination', but the standard now is 'Hate?' from last year's 10th anniversary tour finale concert. They also have a few great instrumental tracks as well. Do, please, delve deeper into the Pigeon Hole and you will be well rewarded.
I’ve got you, I’d say real existence live, manners/blackhole live, onset, without holding back, so what, puzzle live, From now on. There are just so many choices, plus the recommendations from everyone else you’ll be fine.
This was one of BAND-MAID's anime theme song commissions. They even appear in anime form themselves in the Music Video for 'Unleash'. BAND-MAID consider themselves to be Hard Rock, but they have no set genre. They do all sorts of songs, from Metal inspired Bangers to soft acoustic ballads. They play it all. If you really want to see what BAND-MAID can do check out, 'Hate?' LIVE from the Yokohama Arena 10th Anniversary Tour finale. If you want to see what The Warning can do check out 'Evolve' LIVE at the MTV Music Awards show.
"What are they doing in Japan?" a really comprehensive music and arts education bolstered by after school specialist clubs, in the case of rock clubs run by old rockers devoted to the genre and full of girls wanting to form bands with their besties. In contrast to the guys who are in their bedrooms with a computer
Welcome to the wonderful world of Band-Maid. The official lyrics are usually good. Yes, the collaboration had to be kept simple, but this is more them. For more speed with a metal edge try Different, Blooming, Black Hole or Rinne Official Music Videos. Like you, I don't have to like everything a band does, but Band-Maid do all genres of rock, from melodic to thrash, sometime in one song. Great reaction- Thanks
Thank you for your reaction. It is Band Maid doing Band Maid things. The mixed style of hard rock, punk, pop, metal can’t really be well described in any other way as they change style to what they want to do. This is an anime song and as the song Sense it is, most certainly, composed with that in mind. I prefer to listen to the maids per album so I don’t have a favorit song because they all belong in a context but #1 is Mannners as the MV started my musical journey with Band Maid. It is not a typical song for them, or on the epic album Unseen World that in total rival everything i have heard, yet very important to me. The online live with Manners - Black Hole, two songs, makes interesting reactions but here I suggest the MVs of ”Rinne” or ”From Now One”. The official live of ”Hate?” Is a good introduction to them live. I’m not a metalhead btw, but I went to Denmark to see Lovebites live, the are fantastic songwrites and hold them in very high regard. They are quite different though. Have fun! :)
Recommend "From Now On" an instrumental MV and "Hate?" live and please turn on the subtitles. The subtitles on their official videos are done in house and are not YT generated. Not all of their videos have subs though.
I think once you hear them a lot more you will understand why they are much more popular than Love Bites. I think it'll only take you 5 to 7 songs before you become a Maidiac. By the way they're also even better live
Great reaction. Band Maid are a genre unto themselves. They bring in elements of many genre's and meld it into their signature sound. You are a metal guy so you would really enjoy Shambles. Hate official live is a showcase to their talent as a live band. They are one of the best in the business. By the way, Band Maid are firmly a hard rock band with Metal elements.
Hiya Headbanger from a very sunny Staffordshire! Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet (not really a metal band). They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog mayhem to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 11th year with the original line up. The translations are by the band, not by google translate so they tend to be accurate. They sing in a mix of Japanese and English.
I know you hopped on this right after your last video before we all could recommend songs for you. I just want to re-iterate that I guarantee this band has music that is more your jam, they just like to play in a lot of genre's. Trust me, listen to Hate? (Live) Moratorium Rinne Dice I think you'll enjoy it more (this one is specifically for an anime and is written more for that audience)
I like your reaction to Band Maid. You have my subscribscion. I can't wait to see your journey with their music .... bangers? Black hole, Moratorium, Different ... try Giovanni, Puzzle,.
Thanks for the reaction to the maids! Subbed! As others have intimated, they take the good from metal, punk, post-punk, funk, prog... reggae... whatever they need to use in order to construct the sound they want. I hope you can check out Band-Maid live... might raise your opinion of them to being on par with a lot of the other bands you mentioned. 😄
I appreciate Honesty in reactions and so I subbed...One thing you will noticed in their songs is alot of diversity...Often incorporating more than one genre in a song as others have said..I've been a fan from 2015 so saw the time they arranged picked songs written for them 2013-2016 and since 2016 writing their own songs...My personal favorite is Blooming, shambles and to see how diverse in two songs Manners/Black Hole...I love how these bands support each other too...Members of Lovebites and other bands were at Band-Maids 10th anniversary finale at Yokohama Arena...
If you want to check out Band-Maid's musicianship without being distracted by Saiki's vocals they have several instrumentals: Form Now On, Onset, Without Holding Back, Don't Be Long. But definitely check them out live.
If you want mind-blowing try "bandmaid corallium live at the eggman" very fast heavy proggy super tight and incredibly recorded. Not often reacted to but people that do are generally aghast at their genius.
I'm a huge fan of Band-Maid, of course, but also of Lovebites, too (don't care much about the other one you mentioned). And I like listening to them for really different kind of reasons and never ever would put them on the same page and say this one is better in this or the other is better in that. I'd say 90% of Lovebites fans come from listening to metal music exclusively, whereas with Band-Maid it's a bit different. They come from different genres of rock (including metal), but maybe also even pop or jazz. So, just don't try to find something "like Lovebites" in Band-Maid and vice versa 🙂 As others have said, please watch their live video for "Hate?" or the music video for "From now on".
This is the tip of the iceberg with Band-Maid, who are typically hard rock/punk/emo but with a huge variety of songs. Please listen to Hate! (Official Live version from their 10th anniversery concert (2023, and premiered on YT in March 2024). Best to switch the subtitles on - the lyrics are hilarious.
Thanks for checking them out. This band is so diverse stylistically that it's impossible to get a handle on them unless you've listened to 20 songs. The song was written for an anime You can try an instrumental that they did called from now on. I highly recommend it. Also more like your style could be there earlier stuff like the music video for dice or the new live for a song called hate?
Great reaction and this song is the ending song for the new anime Grendizer U (airing starting in late July in Japan) and is a re-telling of an old anime from the 1970's, basically a mecha anime war series about two star crossed lovers in their fight to save earth from invading aliens and the lyrics are directly related to the story line. As for the subtitles, the band and their staff produce the subs to match as closely as possible to the Japanese parts and they do write the lyrics in both Japanese and English, sometimes based on what fits the song best and sounds the best. Thanks for your reaction to Band-Maid.
First things first..Band-Maid is rockband with lots of genres..Nemophila, Lovebites etc are metalband. What really separates Band-Maid for other bands is their musicianship. They are maybe most talented musicians in last 40 years..They are The Special One in this Universe. This rabbit hole is endless..Magical band, amazing musicians, best friends. Imo..Greatest band in this planet ever 🔥❤️🤘
Like others have said, Band-Maid is a very diverse and prolific band best experienced live. While their base is hard rock you’ll find a little bit of multiple styles and genres, sometimes in the same song, in their catalog. There are a lot of great suggestions already in the comments, none of them are a bad choice….but you can’t go wrong with Hate? Live or Real Existence live. The live Manners, Black Hole double shows how they pretty much do whatever they want and do it well.
Thank you for your reaction. You will get a lot of suggestions and most of them, I assume, will be for live performances. That said, if you want a raw, live recording of these talents ladies, please consider reacting to DICE/HATE? performed at Lollapalooza 2023. Again, thank you for reacting to my #1 group BAND-MAID. ua-cam.com/video/a6gvg9Xg4Ao/v-deo.html
Congratulations !!!!! You just stumbled upon the best band to hit this planet since Bill Haley got us all dancing around a clock. Any BAND-MAID song could be the best song you've ever heard in your life. And, mind you, they have well over 100 and their live versions are even better than the studio ones. Take it as you will, but that's the way it is. No BAND-MAID, no Life !!!!! BANDMAIDHEAD ¡¡¡¡¡
I subbed. Please could you react to "Hate?" for your next BAND-MAID reaction. I have a bad heart & i'm English like you & here's my imploring emoji face.🥺🤞
Another anime theme, not dissing that because mincho and miku love doing them and it bankrolls the project so they can make other decisions without reference to anyone but themselves.
This is Rolling Stones review of Band Maid's performance at Lollapalooza. They were invited to Lollapalooza, 2n Japanese band to perform there!! Rolling Stone Japanese Rockers Band-Maid Put Guitar Center Showoffs to Shame There’s a pun to be made about how much Band-Maid ripped, but the Japanese group goes even harder than that. Fluctuating between hard rock, aughts nu-metal, and pop rock, each member of the quintet is a virtuoso in her own right with more than a decade of practice in Band-Maid alone. They lured curious onlookers into the fold when highlights like “Domination” and “Don’t You Tell Me” got huge reactions from the crowd, but it was the bass solo-versus-guitar solo duels mid-song that got the biggest cheers. This is what those guys in Guitar Center think their ridiculous riffing sounds like. Turns out it’s done best, and most effortlessly, by women in black-and-white maid dresses and frilly hair-pieces as they smile ear to ear. -N.C. NEXT - "Puzzle" or "Hate?"
As others have stated, Band Maid is very diverse. But clear distinction is the band self identifies as a hard rock band, not metal. And they have much better songs than this. Hard to recommend as it depends on what flavor of hard rock you want.
Band-Maid are not a metal band, they're closer to hard rock. They're really good, but maybe that's why they aren't so much your poison. Since you've said you're a fan of SOAD I think you should DEFINITELY check out Maximum the Hormone, considering many people call them the Japanese SOAD (I'd suggest the songs Yoshu Fukushu, A-L-I-E-N or Zetsubou Billy for starters). Hanabie. were also very much influenced by Maximum the Hormone, also would be great to see some more Hanabie. (We Love Sweets is a classic and a must).
My dude! You have GOT to check out From Now On, a recent instrumental track of epic proportions from Band-Maid. Kanami, the lead guitarist and the band's primary composer pulls out al rhe stops. I think it's right up your alley.
Forgot in previous reaction, they're not "metal" but "hard rock" with a LOT of different influences* - even some accoustic tracks and versions of their songs. *Some excellent suggestions made by others, you will 100% find music you like, and 100% music you didn't know you liked 👍😎
After going through almost everything on this channel, I'm in, I'll wait for Inkya Impulse, but before that, let's get Nippon Manju in here, some Wagakki Band and everybody's favorite band, Maximum the Hormone,
@@HeadbangersGuild wow, that would be dope, if you really gonna look into some, Inkya Impulse is an Anime Ending song sang by the characters, and Nippon Manju is a song by Lady Baby, while Wagakki Band is a band most would recommend their song Homura/Akatsuki no ito since it showcase the band instrumental and followed by the singer and Maximum the Hormone probably the one you'd like the most, any song from them will make everybody headbang hard,
If you feel like branching off Japan, check out Voice of Baceprot (VoB) from Indonesia, a young trio of metal musicians. Check out : "[Not] Public Property" ua-cam.com/video/QjmcZfOlopU/v-deo.html&start_radio=1 From Mongolia comes The Hu "Wolf Totem" ua-cam.com/video/jM8dCGIm6yc/v-deo.html Then is Bloodywood a metal band from India. "Gaddaar" ua-cam.com/video/7iKjSCTxke8/v-deo.html And Back in Japan, have you done Bridear, Unlucky Morpheus, or Aldious?
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! the subs are official not auto generated so they are accurate the main problem is the context and usage of words that do NOT have direct equivalents.
In my opinion, your review is spot on, I agree with what you say. My introduction to the Japanese music scene was through Lovebites, who are exactly my kind of thing, me being an elderly rocker from days of old 🤣 There are so many good bands in Japan that, whatever they are doing over there, I hope they keep on doing it. Lovebites are top of my fan list, but several other bands, including Band-Maid are very close behind. You really should listen to the live version of 'Hate' from the Yokohama anniversary concert last year. (trivia note, 3 members of Lovebites were in the audience for that concert)
#headbanger I select for you some others Japonese Female bands like LOVEBITES. 1St one BRIDEAR with the song STILL BURNING. 2nd One ALDIOUS with the song WE ARE. 3rd One HAGANE with the song BLACKCULT. 4th one MARY'S BLOOD with the song MARIONNETTE. 5th one LONESOME BLUE with the song FACE THE FEAR. 6th one EAST OF EDEN with song EVOLVE ( extented version) 7h one UNLUCKY MORPHEUS ( it's not a all Female band, only 2 /6) with the song Black Pentagram.
Last reaction, you asked what Warning track you might want try. I suggest that you do a double header of the track that made them famous. When they were very young (I believe Ale the bass player was 9), they did a cover of enter sandman. When Ale was 15, they did the same song again with Alessia Cara for Metallicas Blacklist album. Judging by your T-shirt, I thought you might enjoy them (or maybe you'll hate them).
Dude, did you not read the comments section of the last Band-Maid/ The Warning video? How do you pick the song “Protect You” as your next reaction video when most of the comments said “Hate” official live video should be the one you’re looking for.
This is not a typical BAND-MAID song. And not my favorite. Too much lalalalala .... I think you shall test * Hate? (official live) * From now on (official MV) * Manners and Black Hole (official covid live, i.e. without audience - two songs) * Domination (official live) * Don't you tell me (official live)
A nice one without vocals is "From Now On", or a little older instrumental but live is "Onset"
Their more metal (?) songs are
Rinne (MV)
Black Hole (Official Live, paired with Manners)
From Now On (MV instrumental)
Giovanni (audio from album Unseen World)
I Still Seek Revenge (audio from Unseen World)
Hate? (Official Live, more hard rock but fairly metallic)
Secret My Lips (MV, multi-genre with hard rock, metal, jazz)
I was a metalhead.
Then I listened to B-M.
Now I’m a maidiac.
If you wanna hear some intense/violent songs : Warning!, Shambles, Black Hole
If you wanna just be blown away by very straight forward rock/hard-rock songs : Dice, Choose me, Freedom (live version).
Same!

1. Hate? Official Live
2. Moratorium Live 2017-2018

Perfect for those whose tastes lean towards metal.

I guess I will be one of the first to suggest the song Hate? live. Band -Maid live is a whole different level.
two of my my olskool Band-Maid favorites are "Freezer" and "Dice"
Dice is excellent

How about HATE? is the next song? I hope you`ll enjoy it!
Love the honesty!!!!! Next up should be (Hate?), it will surprise you!!!!! Thank you for what you do!!!!!

Totally agree. You seldom see lyrics like those and you seldom get solos like those either. One of the best thing that has happened on UA-cam.
There is no such thing as a favorite band-maid song. You can have many many favorites but you can't list just one
No BAND-MAID, no Life
!!!!! BANDMAIDHEAD ¡¡¡¡¡
Best Prog Hard Rock band on the planet... Bar none! 👍😁🤗🥰
Best band on the planet 🎎🤘🎎🤘🔥🔥🔥
I subbed. Please could you react to "Hate?" for your next BAND-MAID reaction. I have a bad heart & i'm English like you & here's my imploring emoji face.🥺🤞
Would recommend Shambles if you want something heavier and metal-y
Another anime theme, not dissing that because mincho and miku love doing them and it bankrolls the project so they can make other decisions without reference to anyone but themselves.
@@stevekane4922 It being an anime theme is irrelevant. It's got more metal influence. That's the point.
This is Rolling Stones review of Band Maid's performance at Lollapalooza. They were invited to Lollapalooza, 2n Japanese band to perform there!!

Japanese Rockers Band-Maid Put Guitar Center Showoffs to Shame
There’s a pun to be made about how much Band-Maid ripped, but the Japanese group goes even harder than that.
Kanami tends to use a lot of metal ingredients to spice up other genres, punk too. I like to think she always has Lemmy sat in the corner.
After going through almost everything on this channel, I'm in, I'll wait for Inkya Impulse, but before that, let's get Nippon Manju in here, some Wagakki Band and everybody's favorite band, Maximum the Hormone,
Oh thanks and welcome! I’ve not heard of any of these so I will add them to the list to react to :)
@@HeadbangersGuild wow, that would be dope, if you really gonna look into some, Inkya Impulse is an Anime Ending song sang by the characters, and Nippon Manju is a song by Lady Baby, while Wagakki Band is a band most would recommend their song Homura/Akatsuki no ito since it showcase the band instrumental and followed by the singer and Maximum the Hormone probably the one you'd like the most, any song from them will make everybody headbang hard,
B-M has no genre. You never know how the next one will be. This is a song made to order for an anime, and therefore a bit manic.
please react HANABIE bro,a very intresting young band for you traditonal old school metalhead.
my bro,I hope you can react HANABIE from JAPAN。I think you will like it
If you feel like branching off Japan, check out Voice of Baceprot (VoB) from Indonesia, a young trio of metal musicians. Check out : "[Not] Public Property"

From Mongolia comes The Hu "Wolf Totem" ua-cam.com/video/jM8dCGIm6yc/v-deo.html
Then is Bloodywood a metal band from India. "Gaddaar" ua-cam.com/video/7iKjSCTxke8/v-deo.html
And Back in Japan, have you done Bridear, Unlucky Morpheus, or Aldious?
🤘🤘🤘
#headbanger
I select for you some others Japonese Female bands like LOVEBITES.
6th one EAST OF EDEN with song EVOLVE ( extented version)
7h one UNLUCKY MORPHEUS ( it's not a all Female band, only 2 /6) with the song Black Pentagram.

This is from an anime, Not the best representation of their style. Try "Hate?"
This is not a typical BAND-MAID song. And not my favorite. Too much lalalalala .... I think you shall test
* Hate? (official live)
* From now on (official MV)
* Manners and Black Hole (official covid live, i.e. without audience - two songs)
* Domination (official live)
* Don't you tell me (official live)
