Big dial but they keep the lugs short so it works well on your wrist. As an 8 and 1/4 incher / 21 cm - I love that they still make the 46s! Looks great!
So far of all the reviews for this watch, yours was the most detailed. The 46mm looks just about right on your wrist. This case is much more functional than other cases. You can use it when traveling. Solid but not too heavy. They definitely cheaped out on the packaging overall though :(
I own two Breitlings(Chronomat and SOHII)and have been collecting watches for over 30 years, I know watches fairly well and that watch is too big on you. Breitlings do wear small but the 43mm should have fit. Your first clue was how many links you had to take out. My wrist is a tad over 7 inches, I’m 5’10” 210lbs and the 43mm is pushing max for me. Great watch though.
Well some just look better bigger. I have watches in 36 40 41 42 43 44 and now this 46. Every watch has its sweet spot imo. For the navi, it’s definitely the 46.
Oh yes, the Navitimer is definitely on my radar. Is it too big? Not in my opinion. My PO chrono looks similar on my wrist and I love it, no matter what. The bigger struggle for me would be to choose a color. Blue with black subdials is my favourite atm but I also like the green and the salmon dial very much. Packaging and paperwork however are really subpar for a watch at this price point. I do not use them often but for me they still belong to the buying experience and make such a purchase really special.
Ahh the dilemma that awaits.. the problem may be bigger than you think. the green salmon and blue with black sub dials are not avail in 46mm. only the 43, or 41. you really should go and try them on to see if you like the 43 or 46. I chose size over color preference 43mm is a fine size but for some reason the 46 looked better.

The struggle of my life ;) I have the exact same wrist size and personnly think that the blue white dial is the one to go for. It looks stunnig espacially in the sun. I did not buy it because I am still hoping that they release his color combo in 43 mm haha I think a 17 mm wrist is on the lower edge to wear this watch. Anyway, great review :)
I like how it fits. It does not look or feel like a 46. Looks and feels like any other 43. I also think wrist size isn’t everything. I believe you have to consider how tall you are and how big your build is. I push 190 at 6’ tall but my wrist is only 17cm. So in my eyes slightly larger watches look better suited.

I'm wearing a Cartier Ballon Blue 42 mm in stainless steel with stainless steel bracelet; I always liked the Navitimer and I wonder If I should go with a 43 or 46 mm. Congrats on your purchase, looks great. Btw. forget about the box, we not wearing boxes. Lol.

I have a 2005 reverse panda 41 mm. 30 meters is perfectly fine. I wouldn't drive a 911 on a dirt track so why wear a pilots watch into a pool etc? Had a Speedmaster and sold it to purchase my Breitling. Speedmaster was not to my liking. Any watch with printed hour markings just feels cheep to me.
Well.. 911s have been on a dirt track racing quite a bit. With that said, I do agree with you. However, imagine you’re flying over the Atlantic and you stall out and cant get your engine started. You glide onto the water and the cabin fills with water. You’re stuck there for a few days before the coast guard finds you. It’d be nice to have 100m water resistance~ no!
This is Swiss version = $10.000 US or China version = $550 US? They are look same today; 99% people do not know, so I ask. I think this is one from China .. they have many 46mm.

The 46mm face with the white band gives the illusion of being smaller. The 46mm green face and black band looks bigger. I know, I own both.

Just picked up this exact watch last week. Beautiful watch but the box does kinda suck. Competitors cases are much better but that’s not a big deal

I didn’t know the crystal remains stationary when one turns the bezel. Pretty clever.
It doesn't. The crystal is mounted to the bezel. It all turns. Hard to see when clean, super obvious when smudged.
