- In this Rum Review video, I have a Review of Chairmans Forgotten Casks Rum from St Lucia. Chairmans Reserve Rums are hugely popular and this is their "latest addition" to their core range of rums. Chairmans Reserve Forgotten Casks is a lovely Rum which makes a great sipping Rum.... a Rum to drink Neat... but it's also not too expensive to use it has a Mixing Rum or a Cocktail Rum.

I have lots of rum, but not this one. I will have to try it.

I was about to be bying that (about 50 bucks in Moscow) but from your words (something holds me in your review from having that one), i kinda realise that it ain' easily drinking "pal", meaning to say one can't sit drinking it easily in front of fire all night long. But on the other hand i won'be ablle to drink my favourite Lagavulin 16 all night long either. So i'm flipping between buying and not.
Chairman’s is so so good! Very complex but also „beginner“ friendly. And it’s one of the few great distilleries that still offers prices not blown up by the hype…
Oh and regarding loosing barrels and not knowing what’s in them: there are some barrels at DDL that are rumored to be Caroni. But no one seems to really know. I‘ve had a sample of one and I‘m going with the rumor ;)
I recently tried the Legacy, which was my first SLD, and liked it quite a bit. Think I’ll have to check this one out next!
Think I prefer this to the legacy if i'm honest.
Agree with the not an all night rum. Enjoy it but it’s a savour the taste 1 or 2.

chairmen's reserve ia my passion rum my favourite brand .only one I need to try is 1931 but will be definitely buying it this year at some point I had the master selection but a few others I haven't the 57% and 60% ones but found a place that dose the 60%, but it's 80odd pound so
not rushing to buy it
loving these new shows. need to get one of those, sounds my sort of rum

Got the spiced, white and the forgotten and they’re all so different. Re your previous vid about do you need the whole range I think CR covers most bases just needs an overproof bad boy.
Great review! Recently attended a Chairman’s tasting and enjoyed very much. Any plans to review the Black Tot Master Blender’s Reserve bottles I see on the shelf? I have the 50th Anniversary and 2021. Both excellent IMHO. Waiting for the 2022 bottling to arrive in USA.
I've tasted different bottles, but they're not getting opened until possibly the 5th Edition, so 2024...or maybe even edition 10. I think they're a cool product and really want to do a Journey kind of thein with them.
Only have the white based on your Daq video and it does make a supreme Daiquiri, looking to add the spice and the forgotten cask. I don’t think there is great awareness of the brand, wasn’t on my radar until very recently
Yeah, I'd kind of agree. Or when people do hear it, they don't think of it as "quality".
