Fuel system, pulley & E is next. And to answer Frans question, other shop’s recommendations and lack of research & knowledge on my part. Hence why I switched and brought the car to you guys. See you guys again soon😏
Nice Z. What was the setup before the video? Just the Maggie and catch can? I'm thinking about doing something similar to the C7Z on a 7M. Maggie + pulley, intake, headers and a tune. Stock internals and heads. The idea isn't to make more power for less money. It was to leave it mostly stock with a bigger blower that adds a little power but also much lower intake temps. Somewhat less restrictive and louder.
Do yourself a favor and get Oracle marker lights at all 4 corners. They’re plug and play, full LED and look a million times better for small money. Love them on my 19 Z.

There knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities are incredible. The car runs great. They can turn you LT4 into a reliable and fast street car or build you an all out track car. I would highly recommend them. Frans tuning ability is amazing. They know the right combinations for any need you have.
I love seeing a boss putting effort into employees. Garret has probably learned more in a day in that shop then he ever would from anyone. One of the reasons I love this channel
Yeah 2 strokes are fun to work on. I build and port chainsaws on the side. In 2 strokes the piston is basically the valves. Fuel and air are compressed in the crankcase on the downstroke and forced into the chamber and compressed again. Thats why they are oiled through the fuel. Since every other stroke is a power stroke they are torque monsters. The big pipes help push unburnt fuel back into the cylinder to create even more power.
Hearing Fran talk about the original Halo and playing online brought back memories. Xbox Live is what it was called. Im from that era too video games weren’t really the thing to do then.
I want to run pump and I don’t want to spin the crap out of the stock blower because I read about the stock blower getting heat soak easily. The Maggie seems to push the peak power closer to peak rpm which I prefer also. All this is why I would consider a simple Maggie and cam over juicing the stock blower. This C7 has stock heads right? And stock fuel?
2-stroke does everything a 4-stroke does in half the amount of time (revolutions) so as you said it inhales and exhales at the "same" time. 4-stroke inhales, compresses air/fuel/spark goes bang, piston goes down, comes up to exhale. At least that's my understanding of it (no one asked but I still said it because *internet* )
Grasshopper learning from the Master. Need more mentors like that these days so the kids don't think they have to cut off their junk to be relevant. Well done Fran 👍
2 Strokes are amazing...wish they would make a come back. The Expansion Chambers use pressure waves to help scavenge flow, "boosting" air flow through the transfers. Port Timing on a 2 stroke equals Cam Timing on a 4 stroke. Height of the exhaust port also dictates whether it makes power up high or down low. Luckily most modern 2 strokes use power valves that will alter exhaust port height and allow the best of both worlds.
Awesome Garrett wants to learn. Good idea to give him a little homework. Don't take the guys to seriously when they razz ya! Some people might bitch about how they treat you. But I can tell they actually care, it's a shop environment and these guys been around this for 20+ years and went to school. Kudos for wanting to learn. But I get where the guys are coming from, we get stupid questions constantly from younger kids and it does get really old and annoying. All I can say to Garrett is watch them closely on what they do and how things go together. Give it time. We all started somewhere. I been working as a mechanic for 20 years now and I still learn every day.

No a lot of that can be fixed in the tuning. All depends on the cam though

They do offer a kong X port which is a Maggie 2650 ported.
