There is a difference in sound between this snare and raw Copper Phonic?

They both have a 1.2mm seamless copper shell, but the pewter plating may affect the sound slightly.

To my ear, the plating raises the pitch the shell makes. So it sounds more like a brass snare than a copper one.
My ear, ascending pitch: copper, pewter plated copper, brass, nickel plated brass.
