One of, if not the sexiest .380 pistol ever produced and it feels great in the hand. The balance, weight, size and feel probably don't get any better for an old school steel pistol.
Thanks for posting all the videos on the other platform. Im liking and commenting on all your videos!!! Keep up the great work Sir. Us patriotic Americans love your videos
I’ve owned a BDA 380 since the mid 90’s. It fits your hand very well and it a quality pistol. Mine came along during the time that 10 shot mags were all you could get. The earlier models had 13.
I had one in 80s until about 92. Truck was stolen and lost it. Loved the little Browning BDA 380. Had a high power for years before so it felt right. With todays ammo like Underwood Xtreme Defender +P would feel safe anywhere.
As a Belgian, I feel offended. Like FN made firearms are not as good, or better... No, I'm kidding, I'm not offended at all. Beretta is a fine gun manufacturer.
Thought so when I acquired a Beretta Bobcat to accompany my Taurus PT22. It didn't work out like I had expected. With CCI MiniMags, the only ammunition I had on hand, the Beretta will not fire five rounds in a row without malfunction. The Taurus, only fired with MiniMags and Federal AutoMatch, will not malfunction. To be fair, the Bobcat was my first Beretta. I've since gotten a '64-vintage Jetfire in .25ACP and it's a pretty and well-crafted little piece. However, I have yet to try it out.
Nice endorsement, but we're still talking about the Browning BDA/Beretta model 84. 13 in the magazine/1 in the chamber or 10 & 1 in restricted states. Works great, handles easily, is light weight, very accurate, and it was relatively inexpensive. Made the mistake of trading it in - major mistake.

Sweet...felt like butter to grip. That was considered for deep carry back in the day..that's how far size has been reduced over the years for much more powerful cartridges.
I have a 12-shot CZ-82 in 9mm Mak. It's my truck gun. Pretty much the same size/style and I even use a Beretta 84 holster. First 6 up are Glaser Safety Slugs.

I've got one of these. I inherited it from my dad after he passed. I really like it for a concealed carry, had it since the early 2000s and I've never had a problem running it.
I had one of those I bought it off a cop, it is a great gun, for me it was very accurate. Later I sold it and then a few years after that I bought the Beretta 84B 13+1 380 which was a great gun as well but later I parted with the 84B as well and purchased the Beretta 92-F which was made in Italy before they made them in the USA. I later sold the Beretta 92-F and purchased a Sig P220 45 cal and I still have that Sig and still love it. Thanks for sharing a nice classic firearm. I still love the classics. Cheers and stay safe!!
Own a Beretta 85. There's a company that makes threaded barrels, Allegheny Arms. I was able to buy a 81 barrel in 32 ACP, and use the same mags as the 380. Federal just came out with Hydro-Shok deep in both 380, and 32 ACP. Genius design. They're a pointed, jacketed wadcutter, with no lead on the pedals to retain it's sectional density. The Point takes the place of the usual "Post" to keep the round from plugging. The Gel tests I've seen on the 380 is by far the best SD 380 I've seen. 16" of penetration, and great damage from the Ginsu pedals. Haven't seen one for the 32ACP, but it clocks 1050 out of the 4.5" 32 threaded barrel. 32 is a hoot to shoot out of that gun. 380 doesn't recoil much, it just has a very bad recoil impulse. The barrels also fit the new 80X as well. 380 ACP users definitely check out the Federal Deep ammo. The test I saw was out of an LCP max with the short barrel. I have my LCP loaded with them for pocket licka stow runs.
I like the Colt 1911 mk IV model 80 combat commander 3.5" barrel in.45 acp or 9mm and, of course, the government .380 acp around the same time frame as the semi-auto you are firing for us here. I feel the safty switch on the colt was in a perfect position. It looked like the safty on the browning is on the right side. I could be mistaken here. As usual, great video. Keep up the good work, friends, and i hope to see a new video featuring the first 45acp you ever owned or fired.👍👍👍
Great work...I love your program!... About shooting high at the gong...whenever you are not shooting level, you point of impact will be high...directly proportional to the extent to which you are out of level. This is true for both uphill and downhill shots, both will be a tad high because gravity does not have its full downward effect on the bullet throughout its travel.
I truly enjoy when you wake up the the gong! That should be the test for all firearms. I have one that was made by Bersa, looks exactly like the one you are shooting, double stack magazine is like unobtainable. Solid content.
That is a pretty potent .380 that looks like a gun to the perp as well. Something to hang on to and 13 rounds will probably keep you going if the unfortunate happpens so I like it. Thanks for the show!
It goes without saying but the way you dialed in the gong with a gun like thay and that you dont shoot often was pretty impressive. Thanks for all the great videos
I own a few 380 pistols and my biggest mistake was not buying a Browning BDA here in California years ago. Those stupid gun laws make this state a mess. I'm never going to forget this. Great pistol.
I liked mine and had it for years. I also had an MD84F. When I decided to downsize my gun collection the BDA went and I kept the 84F as it had better sights and lacked the nickel reflection in the sun.
I carried the BDA for many years! Also own and love the Beretta "84FS Cheetah" version in Nickel . Only trouble I ever had is with that gaggle of tiny springs in the Beretta! Yikes. Had no patience and brought it to a "smith" for a re-spring. Love these guns indeed.
I prefer the Beretta 84FS because the safety/decocker is mounted on the frame. So it is super easy and intuitive to control with your thumb and you can run it with oen hand instead of two. Plus you dont have the risk you will put it on safe when you run the slide, which can be a concern with a slide mounted safety.
Way back in late '87 or early '88 I bought a Beretta 84. The dealer's wife was trying to decide between it and the Browning BDA they also had. I made that choice for her, LOL. I carried it regularly. In late '88 I started my LEO career (at the time I was dispatch/corrections and rode as a reserve). I toted it for a while until a salty old cop talked me out of it, trading me a 2.5" bbl S&W 66 and a S&W 3000 shotgun. Many years ago I got a CZ82 in 9x18 and it felt so good in my hands and shot so well that I got the hankering for one again and found one for a good price (an accomplishment in itself). Do I have "better" more modern guns? Oh yes, I do. But this little .380 feels so darn good in my hand and is quite accurate. Recently on a range day I outshot my old chief in a rapid-fire drill with it (he was shooting his Glock 17 and is actually quite capable). LOL, he'd offered me a key to their new range building until I out-shot him. Heh-heh-heh. Anyway, the BDA and Beretta 84 were excellent mid-size guns for their time. There are "better" guns out there today, arguably, but there is certainly nothing wrong with toting them today, either. I mean, heck, I still tote revolvers and a 1911 much of the time.
I love this class of 380s. The three I know of are this one, the Browning BDA; the Beretta Cheetah; and the CZ84 (I have the CZ84) These are the only 380s worth loading with hollow-points. For some reason I never bought a BDA, mostly because it is double action which I don't particularly care for. It has no advantage over a cocked and locked single action. IMHO.

You don't now but did then. It is still a classic and classics aren't discarded. An LCP in my pocket for work a classic in my safe because I want it. Otherwise, do I really need a single action army when more modern guns do the round better? 🤔 Yes is the only answer.
CZ 83 is my usual EDC when in the land of two-legged predators. Factory wood grips and molybdenum disulfide finished for weather protection and permanent lubrication. My home is in bear country and I prefer something more powerful when outdoors, where I usually carry 38super in a full-size 1911. I've been carrying so many years that I really don't feel the weight of any steel-frame handgun.
Interesting. On the gong shots you could actually see the rounds lobbing into the target. A friend has one of these, very good looking but I'm not a fan. Grips felt a bit chunky to me.
I have one. Not sure I could hit the gong with it though even if it was as close as the pot. But I line the look of it and I know it will shoot better with more practice. I am a revolver guy and this was my only auto loader for a long time. Nickel and wood grips wonder why…
That's a sweet gun, nice grips,,,I have the Sig P238 Legion .380 and love it,,will do what I need it to,,I'm not going to be in gunbattles,up close and personal is what its for,and I'm disabled,so carrying my P226 is not an option due to low back pain, that's stays in the nightstand.sometimes the 380 even brings me to a point of not carrying, lugging a gun around is no joke,,can see why the cowboys had those nice holsters around them, below the hips, leg strap,,,,,Draw,,hold on I have an IWB HOLSTER,ONE SEDOND,,,,OK,IM READY😂....YOUR AQESOME 45
I counted 13 rounds. That’s a lot of lead going down range. Most of your carry 380s don’t hold that many so I think the size is justified. Some older folks and smaller statute women maybe can’t shoot a small carry 9mm so this is a good compromise.
I remember the Browning BDA. A VERY nice pistol indeed but it always seemed to play second-fiddle to the Walther PPK/s and PP. Nothing wrong at all with the BDA but the Walthers were more popular. Het, shooters choice, right? As long as you buy the best you can afford you can't go far wrong.

when I was a kid,I had a cap gun that looked just like that .
Great looking pistol
Girsan MC14 BDA
I’ve shot that gun. And as a person with largish hands, found it very comfortable and flawless in its operation.. But I agree, too big to carry for a .380. 🫡
I had one in blue also want it back bad!
Yes yes you do

Nickel is beautiful on a gun
