Thanks Dave, I like it even with its warts, the size and value is quite hard to beat. Yes i remember the Radiooddity SDR you had, it looked quite impressive.
This is quite like my XHData 808 but smaller. I used mine to track down all the sources of interference in my house so it was worth the money. Everyone should have a portable HF receiver. I can sit on the sofa and listen to CW on 20m. Even on the telescopic whip.
The XHData 808 has been on my radar to try for sometime. I agree everyone needs a portable receiver. I had this out today listening to Port operations, incredible little Receiver. Messing about with these receivers reminds me of the International shortwave league days when I was a teenager.
Tidy little radio that bud, Does the CB band do USB or is it just FM, would be cool to have something like that while walking the dog so I can listen in and see whats happening, Good to see a new Video.
Thanks Al, On the CB band it is AM/FM but if you swing over to shortwave you have 11m SSB and AM, seems a bit of a faff but you get used to it. For what it is i actually like it.
I acquired the HanRongda 747 version. It worked good just 2 weeks, until one day it couldn't pickup signals at all., local or distant. A huge disappointment.
Cheers for that never thought it was that small. But does pretty much everything .🤔🇬🇧👍
Yeah i was surprised at the size of it too.
Thanks for the video Neil, looks a tidy little receiver. I have the small alloy Radioddity SDR unit for listening things Dave🙂

@gtretroworld Same here. Poking around for signals with a tiny aerial. I have a lot of fun with mine.

Interesting little radio and great video as always Neil!
Thanks Ben, The more i use it the more quirks i am finding but the fun and cost outweighs any issues.

Hopefully the Retekess version will be reliable but thanks for making us aware of your experience.
