BTW, the manual is on the Retekess site as a pdf and zooms in to an easily readable size for those of us with older eyes :)
Good video!

Great suggestion, thanks for sharing!
The tower dispatchers in your area seem to have full embraced their inner robot. 😅
LOL N7. That airport information recording repeats 24/7 -- I knew it would cooperate with the illustration.
Can I use a BNC female to 3.5mm adapter and a Radioworld R 881 Super Gainer Scanner Antenna 25 1900Mhz antenna for this radio.?
Mechanically it would go together; I do not know what the performance would be.
Receives 153 or 520 KHz to 1710 KHz and 3 MHz to 520 MHz, with MW, FM, CB, Weather, and shortwave doing good. Antenna options with a few other items. BL5C battery is common.
Its fun to go camping and just see what you can pick up in the middle of nowhere that would fit in a back pack nicely
Absolutely agree....
Hi there, does it have the capability of changing MW steps between 9 and 10 kHz?
The ICOM R6 is a good wideband radio, though it lacks SSB and a good MW antenna. I find the Retekess TR-110 quite interesting. Oh, the AM MW antenna is at the bottom of the radio, like Sangean DT-400W. Good AM reception for a DSP radio, plus FM, Air band, weather, CB and shortwave.
Thanks for the detailed feedback; ICOM R6 sounds interesting.
Hello, what is different about these Retekess TR110, HanRongDa HRD747, Raddy RF760 radios?
I'm going to venture a guess and say the only thing different is the name printed on the radio; I believe they are the exact same radio.
Great realistic video, as always. As an alternative, how about a Tecsun Digital PL330 or a Tecsun Digital PL368?
Thanks for the view and the Tecsun alternates...they are now on the "buy" list.
Excelente rádio. Estou curtindo muito.
Fantastic! Thanks for stopping by to view and comment.
How does the battery get charged!!!!
It has a USB-C charge port on the side.
I had to play this 3 times to make sure I got the call right,, BMG,, this is former VBF,, Which means you got your ticket ( I am too lazy to look it up) about 1989 or so? KK5VN
great and useful video! what is the radio in your car? tnx!!
Yaesu FTM-400, sadly, no longer in production; an awesome mobile radio.
@@HOAHamRadio thank you very mutch for your reply!!very mutch appreciated! :)
Great review, thanks. Bear in mind that a Chinese Company has made (used) an all-In_one Chip to shrink it all down. Most of the time the firmware blocks band areas to comply with regulations. The big issue is they have to sell millions to make the production of that great chip affordable. SONY would never do this in this way. Several brands have this radio now in their lin-up. I gues a new maybe even more capable version is already in development. Maybe even a transceiver. I will follow this closely. BTW did you find the Bluetooth option?
Thanks for the feedback. With all the equipment I review, its been a while since I've worked with the TR110. I didn't remember it having a bluetooth feature...does it?
Pretty good Radio
For its size, its amazing what it can do and pick up.
HanRando Hrd737 makes a radio that is very similar, but without SSB
Private labled for a few different companies; all with similar look / features.
The manuals online for easier reading... aside, mine quite werking after 2 weeks..not sure what happened, if I left it in the hot car or overcharged it? It did werk😂
Hmmmm, that doesn't sound good. Hopefully you can return it for a replacement.
Maybe I have a bad one, but mine is an absolute dud. If you plug in any sort of antenna like that it just overloads. SSB is too wide to be usable and never tunes quite right. UHF is entirely deaf. Nothing past the standard AM/FM bands work adequately enough to even by usable in any meaningful way..
I suggest sending it back for replacement, or a refund; obviously shouldn't be performing like that for you.
@@HOAHamRadio Unfortunately that ship sailed. I’ve had this radio for over a year. Just thought it was wasn’t a very good radio and shelved it. Only after this much time do I see other people liking theirs lol..
