If they really wanted to "ship" Galadriel with anyone, it should have been with her HUSBAND Celeborn, who was supposed to be fighitng alongside Elrond at this time! Even if they wanted to have Galadriel "kEeP hEr AgEnCy" or whatever by making her a commander and have her husband missing in the first season, they could have made it where maybe Adar had locked him up and maybe he was the one Galadriel and Elrond were negotiating for. Then he is the one who escapes and manages to come into battle to help command, maybe alongside some other elves he helped to escape. Things work differently in the Elven world. Emotions are heightened, feelings of strong affection and kinship expressed. Elrond whispers emotionally "Forgive me" to Galadriel because he will not yield Galadriel's Nenya's ring to Adar in return for Galadriel's life. And Galadriel wouldn't have it any other way. Elrond is absolutely heartbroken and distraught that he cannot put Galadriel's life above giving power to the enemy, Adar and his Orcs. Elrond knows his answer to Adar, refusing to give up the ring, is essentially a death sentence for Galadriel. So Elrond expresses his deep affection for Galadriel by giving her a tender kiss, essentially expressing his deep love and affection for Galadriel. That it's absolutely KILLING him that he can't save her life even thought that possibility has been offered to him by Adar. His kiss to Galadriel is his message to Galadriel is that he does not love Galadriel any the less, by refusing to save his dearest friend's life. So the kiss is also a deeply felt farewell between 2 friends who love each other lots and know that they are in very real danger of dying. And know that this might be their last embrace.
The mountains look too tall, shows trash garbage
also that middle cutting mechanism looked surprisingly modern compared to all the other tools they were using.
De Cee
Y’all kept on calling it a fan fiction as a way to mock it. The show finally gave yall ACTUAL fan fiction material and yall can’t stop crying over it. Hilarious 🤣
Our critics are accusing us of writing fan fiction. Let's lean into it and write something only suitable for degens on AO3. That'll show them.
🙄
A quality analysis, but where is the destruction of Tolkien? I mean, I'm really surprised when people are okay with Jackson, but not okay with RoP.
thanks for the comment. if you can't see the destruction of tolkien, i suggest you read the books, and i'm sure you will see it
@@LanaMarieThe destruction of Tolkien as you mean it, was made by PJ, who had a crystal clear narrative of 1200 pages and still managed to butcher every single character and change all the most important parts of Tolkiens story. I suggest, instead of a superficial knowledge of Professors writings, you should delve deeper into his writings.
Still a really bad show
This show sucks
going back to watch from the beginning
It isnt for right-wing snowflakes 😂 go watch mr. Birchum
i'm gonna take a wild guess an assume only an american would bring modern day *american* politics into this and try to use them as an insult for someone from another corner of the globe 🙄
@@LanaMarie yup. You took a wild guess. Norwegian here.
my condolences to norway
@@LanaMarie too bad people are starting to see through the grift 😂
Idk why you watch a whole next season up to 8 and will prolly watch 9 while hating the first, to me thats a waste of time and energy, not only did you waste hours of your life watching a show you dont like, you then made youtube videos about it wasting more of your own time. Like they say misery NEEDS company, so go head on then complain the only winners are the show runners, yall did this with every lord of the ring release.
Not a waste if she’s making money and connecting with Tolkien fans (that's what fandom is, btw). You're the one wasting time complaining on her channel - for free, no less lol
UA-camrs gonna UA-cam, so why shouldn't she make these videos?
Another rant of geek conceit. I'll be waiting for something meaningful.....
“Geek conceit”?! 😂 People who try to defend this terrible show are hilarious!
@@Don9872 Oh, this isn't so much a defense of the show as it is a criticism of geeks....you all get up in arms about the dumbest stuff, not to mention the hyperbole "They are destroying Tolkien!" I think Tolkien is doing just fine. Outrage junkies I swear......
@@chrisplourde1690 So you’re whining about other people whining about a tv show? I think you might be one level more deep in the silliness pile here.
I will never understand you boomers, hating on this show for some bizarre reason.
Nothing bizarre here: the writing of the show is abysmally bad and almost every scene in it is an insult to J.R.R. Tolkien.
The show is bafflingly bad. The writing is terrible, contrived plot ,stupid characters and bad acting. The show is bizarre.
It's as simple as that.
I you and I were in the same room, you would not talk to us that way.
@@Stephen64138watch out we have an internet tough guy who * checks notes* gets their feelings hurt over an Amazon adaptation of LotR
I will never understand morons who defend this terrible show for some bizarre reason.
In Season 1, Galadriel told Theo that her husband Celeborn went to war and never came back. So Celeborn is presumed dead by Galadriel. So Galadriel has no husband and there is no daughter Celebrian. So Galadriel is free to love or express love to whomever she wants especially to a such a beloved friend Elrond who is going to battle Adar and his Orcs, who outnumber the Elven forces 10 to 1. So the kiss is also a deeply felt farewell between 2 friends who love each other lots and know that they are in very real danger of dying. And know that this might be their last embrace.
