Your point at 11:30 is bang on.......for us OCD types! I feel the same way, wide diameter aluminums, skinny carbons....mostly the same. Different feel, sound etc.....but similar scores with a few exceptions.
There is a kind iof a primer used by some vane producers , applied on the base of the vane - if the adhesive you used is not compatible with that primer , the vane will fall . It will clear by himself if you reuse the vanes(1 or 2 times) - or if you are not aware about primer and adhesive type compatibility you have to thoroughly clean the vanes base surface (and shafts) with isopropyl alcohol (brake cleaner) and cotton before installing. Or you can shoot shafts only!(!). Usually , vanes producers specify compatible adhesives .
For 60lbs bow, minimun arrow weight is 300grains or you void your bow warranty. So just stick a 120grain point instead of a 80 grain point and you safe and not voiding your bow warranty.
It's a dif spines and gr on the fieldpoints. If yiu will compare 350spine in both with the same gr in field points it will make much more sense? Otherwise you need to adjust the sight for the 3DHVs? Good shooting, I hope you resolve the money question and your business is thriving 😊
Steven could you advise me on launcher blades. I usually use a trophy taker narrow which is perfect for 246 shafts. I’m gonna be upgrading to vaps soon and I’m wondering what you use for vaps and 3dhv. Thanks in advance and thanks for all the videos and information.
That's like VAP 367,5 grain vs 3DHV 263,7 grain. That's a 113 grain difference. 600 spine and softer spine its the same shaft weight of both 0,166" and 0,204" shaft gpi. But having a 140 grain tip can be punishing for target at long range with a sudden drop at end. But for hunting the setup is more understandable at medium to short range. so 60grain diffrence on the arrowpoint and 54 grain diffrence on 28" shaft.
When Covid has been cured and the world is a fluffy place! Would you consider another Vegas Competition? And would you consider the H.Vs ? I recently did some socially distanced shooting and I had a Sleek cloth face mask and I think it actually improved my anchor point as long as people dont start losing there ears it could catch on !
Bob Smith industries makes the best glue and accelerator anywhere! Buy it from Lancaster Archery and just try it; you want be dissatisfied. Clean the shafts and vane base with acetone. But be careful when you need to remove them because it’s a booger to get them off! Really! Try it and see for yourself!

Great video. As someone who lives in central Canada, I love your comment about it being cold in Australia :-)

That group with the 3DHVs is impressive. I might get myself a set to try and see how they fly.
Jared, How did it all go with the 3DHVs? Did you like them ?
Do you recommend them also for a target at 50 mts?
Thanks,
How come you don't stock these is 400 spine? 🙁
