Same thing happening in Canada only we have to heat our buildings for most of the year as well. Common sense left our politics long ago. Thank god for archery! Doesn't cost much to fling a stick.
It’s basically impossible to become a farmer these days unless you’re inheriting the family farm. If you’re within 2 hours of a city then the land prices are artificially inflated by wealthy city people. Even if you’re lucky enough to have a family farm if you’re in a scenic area then you can’t expand because the prices are even worse.
Interesting to hear how your (and others) business is affected by inflation of property prices, it's good to hear the real world view. Cynically the UK governments are very similar, and that's not party-specific because I think they all have the same principles of shipping heavy industry, manufacturing and carbon footprints abroad whilst allowing ever higher net migration. Last year it was 685,000 for an island that's less than 1/30th the size of Australia. Imagine what that does for house prices, energy and food supplies.....
A fairly simplistic view that immigration is causing housing prices to go up. During the pandemic lockdowns, where people actually left Australia, the property prices didn’t crash and still went up. There is also a rise in single person households. The overall demand was always high, immigration or not.
Overseas buyers are using USD and so are at the least 50% better of for buying power. Not a simplictic view ... this is reality. COVID gave many large corporations and Govt's an excuse to increase prices for no economic reason other than we have opportunity. I gather you do not run a business!!!!!
So basically, you're rich on paper, but barely getting by. The worth of your building going up (on paper) isn't doing you any good at all unless you sell it, them you are out of a building, and hence, out of business. And to keep your building, you not only don't see any benefit from it being worth more, it is actually bad for you because your property taxes went up due to the building being "worth" more! There is another reason your building and house values have gone up so much! The government is intentionally and fraudulently over-valuing your houses/buildings in order to get more property taxes out of you. This is certainly happening in the US. I think it's going to be in the court system here before long. There's a guy that is working on it. But I'm not holding my breath. Good Luck Steven!
I know he loves running his archery business, but honestly, sell up and simplify your life. Selling a rental I had was the best for that reason - no more stress and invested the money in more productive assets.
Steve, I’ve been watching your reviews for some considerable time. I like your format (mistakes and all) and the detail you get into! Your enthusiasm is addictive and I can tell you have a real passion for the sport. You have convinced me to order a Sanlida Hero 40 II from the factory. I considered purchasing from you, but your choices were limited. Keep up the great reviews and other interesting topics - Sam
Totally agree..... I started a 2nd business in COVID due to my main business in freefa;ll with COVID ..... the 2nd business by chance I was thinking "beer money" and would keep me going. As it turns out it took off and is now a full on business. In fact now knocking back work. I wanted to put on another person (I had my cousin's son wishing to join me) However its not worth it as an employer to put on an employee for a labour based job due to taxes, insurance ect. Unless you sell product (with or without labour) there is no money in business if you sell "labour" alone. Now you might say that is wrong but to be successful in selling "labour" you have to charge more and again the customer pays. I have found a Niche market that pays quite well but its only survival money not income to build my wealth..... Australia used to be great and now its bleeding everyone
It's the same here in the US, the debt is climbing due to needless spending, most of which does not benefit Americans and it's driving up inflation and the cost of living while the size of the government continues to grow. The size and cost of our government far outweighs their usefulness to it's citizens. We need a some drastic changes and there is only one man who can make that happen....or at least get us on the right track !!
I am still waiting for Australia Post to deliver a time machine I ordered from an Amazon seller. But not sure it will arrive in time to be useful - I just want to go back to when Australia was "the lucky country" - I won't hold my breath.
I will continue to watch your business related videos but since you cited numbers in the past that obviously didn't add up and you never respond seriously to comments about it, I will just assume that all the numbers are not true. This is not how you build trust in your community, but you do you I guess.
You're right, the same thing is going on here in the USA with real estate, but everyone wants to start there own business cuz being an employee keeps you broke.
Tried to spend a few hundred at your business last week but as usual service was that bad I spent 340 at your opposition. You keep saying your staff are great but sorry that is not the case. Your business could be so much more profitable.
Steve, you are missing the most vital point. The root of all those problems, the root of inflation is FIAT Currency! - And a Bitcoin standard is the solution. We need to take the power of money creation out of the hands of corrupt politicians and banksters. Only then everyone will have his fair share of all the global increase in productivity.
Let's say you keep holding on to that their property you got to it's worth that amount of money and it just keeps going up and up and you know supposedly you're gaining more value in what you own but really are you busy can you ever sell it will there be anybody around to buy it you know what I mean like will anybody want to do any manufacturing there or could they even afford to do manufacturing their
"I actually didn't make anything" says the guy with the HOLIDAY HOME that went up by a million dollars in value. Do you listen to yourself once in a while?
There's no way you can start a farm in the USA, it's 5 K per acre and now it's 3 K per cow. You couldn't even come close to pay for the payment not counting the 500 K for the machineries. So sad
So you don't have food in your own country that's insane bro no matter if they live in a chicken coop or where I mean yeah it's nice to have animals out doing their natural thing and get all the natural products but sometimes being that the community is so big you need to produce your own food okay if that's the case feed them a good natural source of grain
Well done Steve our stories are similar, except my divorce came much later in life, yes getting into property early was the best thing i did, owning several properties in Brisbane I was one of the first to get into holiday lets, or short-term rentals I did that for 20 years along with another business and retired at 53, it's a long hard rd but so worth it . yes, you are right property is way too expensive now and the counterproductive costs and problems that will come will all be in the hands of the people not the gov, social and economic problems have just begun and will get a lot worse. hope your success continues, dont stress that heart too much though ay , health is priceless.
Do you actually believe the crap that's coming out of your mouth mate. A rich man whining about not having enough. I seriously can't believe how you spoilt wealthy people carry on. You're out of touch with reality.

If this fool's lips are moving, you know lies are being spread. Unbelievable that he has people supporting him.

This has been figured out back in ancient times. Good times create weak, stupid and coward people. Nothing but bad times created by such people...
