The back story to this song is incredible. I wish I could remember the interview I watched where Phil Collins shared how this compilation came to be so I could share it with you. The short story, Phil was jamming out, waiting for the rest of the crew to show up, as each member came in to the studio, they joined the jam and "The Brazilian" was birthed.
What memories this song brings forth….In high school back in the 80’s I was on the cross country team. After four years training and racing together we were quite good, we won a lot of big meets my senior year. I discover this song during my senior year and it always brings me back to the all-state meet, my last high school race. The guys on the team put forth an incredible day of racing and we won it all. Everyone ran their best race of the year. It was the last time we all competed together. Bitter sweet for sure. The older I get, the better I was 😅 lol

All the best legends, a everylasting legacy bringing joy to us all. Long Live Legends. They'll only ever be one Genesis. 👑👑👑
