Just installed the LUYED light based off this video. Have not tested it in the dark. My biggest issue was that that supplied splicing connectors do not work well. I've had experience in the past with this style of splice and it has always been hit or miss with them. I recommend using the T-taps 22-18ga (red). Or you could certainly solder like this guy did. Always test it out before you reassemble the trim pieces! Hardest part of this whole process was pulling the trim pieces off. And of course removing the supplied splice connectors and replacing them with T-taps that I luckily had on hand.
For those wanting more light with outdoing what this guy is doing. Upgrade your reverse light to LED it won't give you the same amount of light as the one here is installing but if all you want is a little more light that's the easiest way to do it.
Why not use the tap connectors that come with the light? I am wondering why you did not use the tap connectors instead of stripping the wires and soldering them! Is it more complicated to install rather than using the tap connectors?
Nice. Would have been good to see the before and after through the reverse camera. I have an aftermarket reverse camera. During the day its clear but at night it anyways looks grainy.. Maybe having something like this will help with the picture. Did you install a separate switch to turn off?
Great video. I suspect this is a sponsored how-to video, but it would be nice if you had a list of pros and cons. Night shots, and before / after video would be nice too.
Great little light. Surprisingly bright and good color temperature (approx. 5000K). I installed two on one of my vehicles.
Superb videos, really clear and helpful. Bravo!
Ordered the LED through your link ;)
Nice job I am going to buy some of those lights, excellent video keep the work up

I disagree. My LASFIT units put off just as much light as this, if not more.

Very beautiful SUV Honda, I love Toyota and VW too
Clean install good job👍
I cant find these lighting kit at luyed, all they have are bulbs only....
Can you do a video on how far back the light shines?
Can the plate light bulb get change?

It gets power from the reverse light bulb wires. So only turns on when car is in reverse.
I'd like to see some night and before / after video too.
You make the install look soooo easy but the average guy would probably go insane ..... can you come over and I'll give you a case of beer
Lol...just practice stripping a bunch of cars and you will be a pro. I am not encouraging anyone to go steal cars ;)
How's it possible I tried to wire it up and blew like 4 fuses and all computer stuff. Cost me all kinds of money
Uh no. Just get LED reverse bulbs. Problem solved.
Did you change the backup light bulbs to LED in the CRV? If yes, what is the part information or link?
Yes that was shown in the vid. The link to where you can buy them is in the description. Thanks
Ohh just self tap it to the hatch and duct tape it to the reverse lights and splice it.. 😂😂😂
So we have to open entire company sealed back door.
Sorry can’t take the chance.
so ghetto lolz
Say bye bye gap warranty
Great video.
