I only just recently changed the interior light bulbs to LED in my 2016 CRV and it makes a huge difference. The one thing I never thought about was the reversing light so I will give that one a go soon. My low beam are already LED lights but my High beam are still standard Halogen lights and when you compare it to the low beam it's not real great. I asked around for some HB3 LED bulbs to upgrade the high beam and it seems everyone (auto pro shops) is talking me out of doing it. Not sure why and yet I see plenty of videos of it being done. BTW I'm in Australia so not sure if the rules are different to the USA on LED lights.
@robertgarland9342 , did you ever find a decent LED solution for high beam? I’m also in Oz. I’ve tried Autobarn’s recommendation, an ‘adjustable ‘ Narva and the Stedi Copperhead/Blackout. NONE of them produced an acceptable beam that illuminated the road above the low beam cutoff. My drivers side was aiming at the road below the low beam cutoff and the passenger side had no discernible beam at all. It was scattered all over.
Thank you for this video! Great content! So I think I am going to go with the SV-4 for my CRV. Is there any specific way the LED chips should be facing in the projector housing?
Awesome video thanks for the great content and suggestions on the specific bulbs. Do any of the bulbs you are recommending here for high or low beam require, adjusting the aiming of the headlight enclosure?
If you're not sure how to aim/align LED bulbs, check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/NbfAyqVgVdM/v-deo.html We always recommend adjusting for the best beam pattern.
Very helpful. What size bulb are the fog lights for the 2022 CR-V EXL? Looks like that is missing in the comments. Do you have a link to the product on your site?
We've probably done a video on how to install H4 bulbs, but most LED testing will be the same across the board regardless of the bulb size. Most companies have the same bulb design with different bases to accommodate the size. If you're looking for high-quality, start with the SV4s and Morimotos. GTR Lighting is a bit pricier but comes with a lifetime warranty. ua-cam.com/video/LT-s4Eg7cyw/v-deo.html
@@HeadlightRevolutionI'd definitely have to challenge the long term quality of the sv-4, unfortunately. It's got fantastic output and beam spread but an average lifespan of +/- 2.5 years.
This is also one of the few bulbs that we offer with an exposed fan. We have seen some of these LEDs fail prematurely due to excess dust or dit build up in the fan area. We always encourage the use of dust caps to prevent dust inside headlights and around the headlight bulbs. If you see a lot of dirt and off-road, we might suggest the Morimoto or GTR bulbs instead.
@@HeadlightRevolution None of my SV-4 units failed due to a non functional/clogged fan. In fact, the fan happened to outlive the rest of the bulbs and it was the drivers and chipsets that keep dying in my situation.
Reflector housing are advised against using led bulbs in them cause it doesn’t scatter light properly like a halogen in the reflector casing. Any reason why you recommending using led in a halogen reflector housing for high beam specifically?
High beam specifically because it's a function that shouldn't be used around other drivers/on coming traffic. The bulb we've recommended was the best at replicating the OEM beam pattern, significantly reducing the amount of glare.
i have a 2013 Honda CRV base model, i’ve had the original lights since i’ve gotten the vehicle back in 2013 and want to replace them now. would these led headlights suggestions work for my model? thanks.
2013 CRV uses a 9003 bulb for low/high beam. The bulbs in the videos won't be compatible! You can find the bulbs we recommend here: www.headlightrevolution.com/bulbs/led/custitem_cat_facet_bulb_size/H4
@@nascardrawings7700 I know, in fact I have autoone h7 led's currently installed in my car. But a newer version came out just a few months ago and I would like to see a comparison video. 😉

GTR Lighting has brighter options. I had Osram in my gauge cluster, upgraded to GTR Carbide bulbs and it’s way brighter with better lighting distribution
I have a 2020 AND 2022 Honda CRV with the halogen main beams as shown in this video. I want to upgrade to the Morimoto bulbs. What specific part number or style bulb do I need? The morimoto website does not list a CRV (nothing from 2020-2023) neither does your "headlight revolution" website.

Hello! I love your videos! Thank you so much I have a question for you 1 really wanna upgrade the projector lights for my Hyundai Elantra 2023 with LED lights, but there are so many options and opinions that I do not know what to choose. Unfortunately my budget isn't very high, so I wanted to ask for your opinion of the best LED lights I can get with a budget of $100 CAD or $75 USD. I currently live in Canada. Thank you so much for your reply 😊
If you have OEM LED headlights, there won't be any bulb upgrades you can look into. LED headlights do not use bulbs, instead they use LED chips inside the headlight with either projector or reflector LED technology. The only option here would be a full retrofit, opening the headlights and modifying. If you'd like to talk more about LED lights and what might be available, reach out to us: sales@headlightrevolution.com or 218-755-5200
@@HeadlightRevolution Hello! Thank you for your response. My Elantra does not have LED, it has halogen bulbs. And I would like to get LED chip lights for my car, as you have just shown in this video. I'm sure my car will accept the same technology. That being said, I would like to go back to my first question. What product would you recommend me within the budged I have. Thank you
Unfortunately, you won't find anything within that budget, not that we've tested. We would recommend saving for a bit and investing in the SV4 LEDs, one of the more budget-friendly options. You will need a 9005 bulb type for the halogen headlights: www.headlightrevolution.com/supernova-v-3-led-headlights-9005-9145-bulbs-HR9005V4_2?quantity=1
For me Foglight should be cut through FOG and rain The best should be 3000k yellow or OEM color 4300k White color do nothing when rain and foggy conditions
Yellow and amber are great options when it comes to inclement weather, luckily the SV4, Morimoto 2stroke, and GTR Bulbs are available in yellow as well! 👏🏼

I NEED YOUR HELP. I INSTALLED THE LUXSTER 2024 Punisher 40,000LM H4/9003/HB2 LED Bulbs ON MY 2010 HONDA CRV...THE AUTO FEATURE AND DAYLIGHT RUNNING LIGHTS DID NOT WORK, SO THEY SENT H4 MODULES TO INSTALL, AND THERE WAS NO CHANGE. THEY THEN SENT A NEW WIRING HARNESS, AND WE TRIED IT WITH AND WITHOUT THE H4 MODULES. WITHOUT THE MODULES, THE HEADLIGHTS DID TURN OFF, BUT NO AUTO FEATURE AND NO DAYLIGHT RUNNING LIGHTS. CAN YOU SUGGEST A BULB THAT WILL WORK FOR ME?
Really sorry about all your troubles with the upgrade! For LEDs, we'd suggest the Morimoto 2stroke 4.0 or the GTR Ultra 2.0 with the additional PWM Anti-Flicker module. The additional module will be needed to the bulbs can operate as DRLs, and you won't have any pesky warning lights on the dash.
In the United States, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment are regulated by the US Department of Transportation (DOT). Even though these types of LED lights can be used in place of an original halogen light bulb, it is not legal to use on vehicles registered for on-street use. Feel lucky?
It’s becoming a huge problem with illegal usage in cities….even factory “insane bright” headlamps are designed for perfectly flat roads and will zap your brain the moment the car is on any change of up slope….disgusted at the current state of night driving.
Look theres enough people who drive around with their high beams on all the time, dont encourage brighter ones. Someone needs to make a brighter led bulb that shuts itself off after 30 seconds. That would be brilliant
If you drive in rural areas, at times you need brights on for long periods of time. We just need to improve driver education and police enforcement of anything other than speeding.
People today have no common courtesy to oncoming drivers and refuse to shut off their highbeams. Vehicles with factory projection low beams are great, the projectors have a nice cutoff so you don't blind oncoming drivers.
