Interesting facts about meowser that I discovered: if you have a Goomba mask on, most enemies including Meowser will not recognize you. However if Meowser falls from the top of the screen, he will actually shoot fire diagonally toward the ground.
For the meteor thing, you can put the bowsers in lakitu clouds and it'll work without autoscroll, and that also allows you to have bowsers later in the level that make difficulty ramp up
Meowser can be used in a lava elevator level and he works pretty well. Have a floor of boxes with Bill blasters on top so you can't break them. And at the bottom of the elevator have solid ground so bowser can stand on it and then you can fight him, one of my levels had a donut platform floor for the arena while giving the player fire flowers to kill him quickly since you're not standing standing on completely safe ground
Bowser can be put on a cloud. HOWEVER, the direction his fireballs fall in, doesn't seem to be consistent. I prefer the autoscroll one. Much more reliable.
When I made a boss fight with Bowser, I did kind of make a fire flower spam. BUT there’s a catch. Bowser will occasionally take damage from a shell automatically. However, you can be hurt by it too. If you get hurt by Bowser and the Shell, it gets a bit hard, but since there’s fire flower spam, it’s a bit easier..
For the meteors, you can put them in Lakitu Clouds instead of tracks, which allows you to not need autoscroll. If you want Bowser to remain off screen, you can put them too high to be reached by the player or have vertical scrollstop.
About Meowser,the best way to make the fight good is putting him on twisters(because he gonna be trapped) or putting cannons with bob-ombs and a small Meowser

I managed to use bowser’s (offscreen) fireballs as a randomised projectiles for a survival mini game and then used that same bowser for boss battle later in the level (creative and efficient)

I’m making a level right now, and I just figured out that if you are riding yoshi it will add a drum beat to the background music, at least in castle theme, as I haven’t checked any of the other themes.

In my level I made a survival level where he chases you on a snake block. While you are on a snake block he jums around and flies, shooting fireballs and makes for a great survival level. In 3D world I made this ofcourse. So I made two worse items and made a really good level with them....
in normal gameplay, if bowser is in a koopa clown car, he will throw bob-ombs, however, if you make a clear condition to defeat all bob-ombs, he will throw shells, and you can do the same thing with bowser jr, but you need to make a clear condition to defeat all koopa troopas instead of bob-ombs
My Bowser fight from one of my levels has a large red koopa coming out of a pipe and you need to use the SMB2 mushroom to throw the koopa shells but Bowser can sometimes jump to avoid the koopa shells
I’ve always found it crazy how small Bowser appears in Super Mario Maker in comparison to every other game, they probably didn’t want to make him extremely large when a Super Mushroom is used on him. 😁😁😁
I once made a fireball spamming Meowser fight but the arena is more interesting 5 semisolids of different heights (two wide and low ones and three smaller tall ones) to give you a moment to bombard Meowser from the high ground And there are also limited fire flowers to make the fight more interesting and give the player a sense of satisfaction when they win on their last fire flower. And since in 3D world enemies interact with power-ups Meowser can push them into the void to limit your stock even more
You can "hold" meowser in place by placing him above a twister. I believe he still shoots fire, so you can make sets just using his fire as an obstacle to avoid, though I'm not sure if it works off screen.

one of the coolst boss fights ive made was for the last level of my super world. the setup recreates the bridge from the end of castle levels but with on/off switches surounded by the block of opposite color and a bridge of the same color. when you collapse the bridge it drops on to a second, then a third, repetaing the setup. with the third bridge destroyed bowser drops into lava and you get the key to exit,
Here’s an idea I made in my course! You get Fire Flowers (stay with me here) and there’s a backwards conveyor belt and rising and lowering lava. Bowser (SMB1) is stuck on the right side of the screen, shooting fire balls. You have get a Fire Flower, get on the conveyor belt, and shoot fire balls at him while he’s jumping and also shooting fire balls If you get hit, you have to wait for the lava to lower to get another Fire Flower because one way walls are blocking you from just jumping to the Fire Flowers. (that took longer than it should of)
Here"s one way I used Bowser in one of my latest levels called Boss Rush Showcase of Arenas. For my final boss of that level, I have placed Bowser in a room that contains two lifts on rails to help avoid Bowser's flames. Bowser is blocked by one-way walls to prevent him from leaving the spot he was placed in. Bumpers were placed to allow fireballs from Fire Mario to hit Bowser if you have a fire flower going into the fight. However, to prevent easy fireball spam near the bumpers to kill bowser easily, I have put a winged Bowser Jr to throw hammers near the bumpers to prevent camping near the bumpers. The fight is intended to be a survival section for about a minute with a yellow pipe spawning spike balls that roll towards brick blocks. Five brick blocks are first destroyed by the spike balls which is then followed by five ? blocks containing lit bob-ombs that explode destroying the ? blocks below them. The last ? block will spawn a lit bob omb that destroys the hard blocks next to it. Above the hard blocks is a muncher which will fall onto a p-switch activating the p-blocks near Bowser and his son defeating them instantly. When Bowser is defeated by either 40 fireballs or the p-blocks spawning via a p-switch press by the muncher, a key will allow Mario to leave the room through the locked door. This fight was designed so that if a player managed to avoid taking damage during the previous four fights, then you will be rewarded with a way to kill Bowser faster thanks to the bumpers. If you lost the fire-flower or chose another powerup, then you will have to wait a bit before the muncher can press the p-switch below it triggering the spawning of the p-blocks. This fight's not very innovative, but I was going for practicality here. Here is the COURSE ID: MWR-K0K-SHG.
I completely agree, levels or at least parts of levels containing Meowser need to be entirely designed around him and I'm glad you said it. Fireball spamming Meowser fights are awful, not only to they attempt to contain Meowser which we all know doesn't work, but then also fireball spamming which is, as you said, just unfun. I'm kind of getting back into Super Mario Maker 2 so these sort of videos continuing on are awesome to see, I really appreciate them. Also, did you get a new mic or something? I have a great idea for a better version of the Fire ball-spamming Bowser fight... So, how about instead of having infinite Fire Flowers, have a limit. Like let say 3. Then, make the room have like three small block pillars, a lot of donut blocks, and flimsy platforms at the bottom to give an extra chance of survival. Add like a couple of regular lifts to be able to jump over a big, winged Bowser. Have unreachable Blasta Mechakoopas for an extra challenge and a couple of Zappa Mechakoopas at the very top to discourage staying at the higher winged regular lifts. For extra hits against Bowser, have only one Red Yoshi for the player.
In smb3 you can make unexpected thwomp bowser by putting bowser in a cage with brick blocks as the floor and then if he ground pounds he’ll fall from the sky
i made a level in mario maker 1 where you were in a mech (doesn't move) and bowser had a mech and you had a limited supply of fire flowers but one thing that added challenge was you didn't have much room to move which made it hard to dodge causing you fire flowers to quickly deplete (which is why i gave as much as i did) AND you had to aim your fireballs so they would bounce into bowser's mech which the hard to dodge thing easily took the the spam out of fireball spam because you couldn't get a good hit in and move (i could only manage about 1 or 2 fireballs before i had to dodge) oh and you couldn't camp near bowser's mech as i believe it had spikes to prevent that
I do have a unique idea for a fireball fight where you need to hit an on off block to get another fire flower in order to fight him meaning that getting hit is still a massive risk
I did a ‘fireball spamming fight’ however, what I did is Mario comes out of a pipe and there is bowser at the bottom, a large SMW bowser, there is blocks heading upward with only 3 fire flowers spread around, however it isn’t that easy, there is 7 platforms each one has a koopling on it, Roy’s, Wendy’s and Iggyd have the flowers, you have to jump from platform to platform avoiding their attacks or killing them, alternatively with fireballs shooting at you, you can go through a difficult tight area to get a cape where you can ground pound him.
Hey you forgot a few things that damage bowser: the poison projectiles that yoshi shoots in the nighttime poison theme, the poison liquid from the nighttime poison theme, the void, and getting hit from below by Mario hitting a block that bowser is standing on (? Blocks, brick blocks, on/off blocks, etc).
Fun fact:in your ranked semi solid video you said on the castle semi solid has to much windows,but you can cover them up with the platform semi solid for the castle

A new item called "boss fire flower "would be sweet. It would give u a fire ball power up but 1 hit will kill u. And it would give u a key to force u to use it. Or it could be a 2 hits kill u, but you never lose the fireball after the first hit.
You can contain meowser using a Twister inside the floor and Placing a block on top of his head it's not perfect since depending where meowser Is,he Will Just jump out of the Twister for some reason but it's really good.For example i managed to keep him stuck and let him shoot Fire balls to recreate the Bowser in a car boss fight from 3d world

I used to feel like I made something bad when I made a bowser fight where you have thwomps and one fireflower to defeat him, but now I know since it has something else and no infinite power ups so I feel a lot better about my level making skills.

One thing you forgot to mention is that if you set bob-ombs as a clear condition, Bowser will throw shells instead of bob-ombs in the clown car.
That is something I legitimately did not know existed!

i made a level in mario maker 1 where you were in a mech (doesn't move) and bowser had a mech and you had a limited supply of fire flowers but one thing that added challenge was you didn't have much room to move which made it hard to dodge causing you fire flowers to quickly deplete (which is why i gave as much as i did) AND you had to aim your fireballs so they would bounce into bowser's mech which the hard to dodge thing easily took the the spam out of fireball spam because you couldn't get a good hit in and move (i could only manage about 1 or 2 fireballs before i had to dodge) oh and you couldn't camp near bowser's mech as i believe it had spikes to prevent that
Maybe there could be videos on tips on using Boom Boom, Pom Pom, and each of the Koopalings.

I do have a unique idea for a fireball fight where you need to hit an on off block to get another fire flower in order to fight him meaning that getting hit is still a massive risk

One idea for fireball bowser fights is putting some fire flowers on tracks for a limited fire flower supply

I did a ‘fireball spamming fight’ however, what I did is Mario comes out of a pipe and there is bowser at the bottom, a large SMW bowser, there is blocks heading upward with only 3 fire flowers spread around, however it isn’t that easy, there is 7 platforms each one has a koopling on it, Roy’s, Wendy’s and Iggyd have the flowers, you have to jump from platform to platform avoiding their attacks or killing them, alternatively with fireballs shooting at you, you can go through a difficult tight area to get a cape where you can ground pound him.
Hey you forgot a few things that damage bowser: the poison projectiles that yoshi shoots in the nighttime poison theme, the poison liquid from the nighttime poison theme, the void, and getting hit from below by Mario hitting a block that bowser is standing on (? Blocks, brick blocks, on/off blocks, etc).
Fun fact:in your ranked semi solid video you said on the castle semi solid has to much windows,but you can cover them up with the platform semi solid for the castle

with the bowser meteors, you can also put them in clouds for a horizontal plane
A new item called "boss fire flower "would be sweet. It would give u a fire ball power up but 1 hit will kill u. And it would give u a key to force u to use it. Or it could be a 2 hits kill u, but you never lose the fireball after the first hit.
honestly the best way to avoid bowser's offscreen fireballs imo is to just put his boss room all the way on the left side of your sub area

You can contain meowser using a Twister inside the floor and Placing a block on top of his head it's not perfect since depending where meowser Is,he Will Just jump out of the Twister for some reason but it's really good.For example i managed to keep him stuck and let him shoot Fire balls to recreate the Bowser in a car boss fight from 3d world

If you place twisters under meowser he will stay put and not go in the background, and only use fireballs

I give them 1 fire flower before bowser, If u get hit once u gotta redo the short level. But it sucks having to let bowser kill u if u get hit! I wish i could think of somethin besides koopa spawner and pow blocks.

Thank you for specifying what a fireball spamming fight was. I used to feel like I made something bad when I made a bowser fight where you have thwomps and one fireflower to defeat him, but now I know since it has something else and no infinite power ups so I feel a lot better about my level making skills.
