Nintendo missed out, they should have made it so that with the SMB2 mushroom, you could have picked up the mecha koopas and do things like shoot bullets and lasers. I would love making a multiplayer verses level where you shoot lasers at each other. I am a little bit disappointed, but I still love mecha koopas

In Mario World (their debut) they could be replaced with gallombas or koopas in pretty much any situation. Luckily, Zappa and Blasta are great alternate forms!
I like these vids from you, talking about the specific uses of some items and enemies. I’ve seen a lot of uses for the blue mech on rails in boss rooms. The rails make the lasers fire at various heights, which is actually really good if you need some sort of aerial denial to prevent your boss from being jumped on. One interesting use related to this is a winged Ludwig, he flutters for a while above the blue mechs firing spells at you. While it is true that you wouldn’t be able to attack him anyway at that height, but the mechs restrict your vertical space enough so that Ludwig’s spells are actually quite difficult to avoid. I’d like to hear more on what makes different enemies unique not just in their attributes and specific application, but in their more general mechanics (eg what challenges can they make for the player, what space do they control) general stuff like that

Maybe you can use blue mechakoopas in a section (like a final boss) where the mechakoopas slowly break bricks so that you can slowly get farther in the level (like final boss in new super Mario Wii), then you fight a boss with red mechakoopas shooting rockets at you (like 10:09). Just an idea.
I have this idea for a boss I put into one of my castle levels that involves the mecha koopas. Once you enter the boss, you will be in a small room containing vines and a on-off block. To the side, there will be a red mecha koopa shooting bullets on you that's on a track. Even worse, theres a blue mecha koopa on a track coming back over and over again with his lasers. Above the room, you can see boom boom on a conveyor belt. The goal is to hit the on/off block over and over again to drop boom boom into the void. You have to jump on the mecha koopa's bullets to hit the on/off block. To avoid the laser, you have to go on the vine that was mentioned earlier. Customize: How often you are bombarded with lasers. Boom Boom (You can make it a koopaling that shoots out rings for extra difficulty) How many red mecha koopas are firing bullets at you. (I wouldn't recommend using normal bullet bills) How many times you need to hit the on/off block I think cloud and super mario world theme works best, but because its a boss, you can just make it the sub area.

Note: in smw, throwing a meckakoopa up before it wakes up it becomes a walking projectile. If its red, its becomes a walking projectile but it will destory its own bullets.

You can place a giant zappa mechakoopa in a clown car inside of a room for a boss fight. The only problem is that they only take one hit but you could also place blasta mechakoopas around in the corners to add extra projectiles

There is a glitch with the blasta mechakoopa in the SMW game theme allowing you to get Infinite lives. 1 stomp the mechakoopa 2pick it up and aim look up 3 let go at the last second if it goes up in the air it doesn’t work if you kick it it means it worked!

An idea could be put a track on the top of the room and and put red mecha koopa troopa and a boss with a muncher crown and make the floor breakable blocks and make you guide the red bullets to the blocks and and create a gap for the boss to fall in. This might be hard so put 1 door on each side of the room.
I have an idea if you stack a muncher on the red mechakoopa.(this might be better underwater or a snake block or with a flying power up espesically p ballon because you can move freely) anyway mario has to guide the bullets which the red mecacoopa shoots back to the mechakoopa I don’t quite know how to finish it because they are underfeatable. This boss is a bit like bowser junior world 5 in nsmbu
Hey Odyssey if you want to play some lite kaizo then check out YW6-JC5-DTF. All of the levels have a them. Darkness, Bombs, etc. And a super world check it out whenever you want
I don't have the game. I just pictured a boss fight using Mechakoopas. Ludwig is trapped in a box high up in the screen. Two Bullet Bill launchers are lined up against the wall. Two pipes are on the side that send Red Mechakoopas. The box has a Semisolid platform and three One Ways. So grab a Mechakoopa, boost off of the Bullet Bill, and throw the Mechakoopa at Ludwig.

In kaizo situations, you can drop a mechakoopa midair as its about to turn on again and jump off it, mechakoopa midairs.
