I had a English Professor Sophomore year of Community College spell my name wrong not only for the whole semester, but an entire year since I had him twice. My name is "Roo," and he spelt it "Rue," (which is the more common spelling) This was despite having sent in at least 10 essays in the time I had him where the FIRST thing on the paper was my name. I never ended up telling him because 1. I thought it was funny. 2. I wanted to see if he'd ever realize. He didn't. Which is funnier.

Nope. In Japanese his name is King Koopa. And if he was gonna romanize the english it would have been "Bouza", "Bousa", "Bosaa", "Bozaa", or even "Bazaa" or "Basaa", according to ANYTHING resembling any of the romanization edge cases I've met. This manages to be a misspelling no matter how much lenience you give to "attempt to romanize the katakana for Bowser".
I do have to love a lot of the mispellings of bowser though a lot of them are way to deliberate to be believable. Edit: How the fuck does this comment have nearly 300 likes?
