From the first stirrings of life beneath water... to the great beasts of the stone age... to man taking his first upright steps, you have come far. Now begins your greatest quest: from this early cradle of civilization on towards the stars.
The game looks like it has a lot of potential. I can see why you invested in it. That being said, it still has A LOT of work left on the UI/UX side of things.
i know theyre trying to keep the games short but i wish it went slightly longer. In my experience it gets cut short a little too soon for you to feel the satisfaction of having planned cities and stuff like monuments out well.
I've been playtesting this game and really really like it; it's so great to have a 4x game that can be played in a super reasonable amount of time in multiplayer!
Watched your video yesterday and also tried to play this game. What I can say after 3-4 games played - this game have absolutely uncompetitive AI and even no difficulty setting. Development in this game has snowball effect, and none of my games gave me any challenge to cancel it. Game always comes to a point where I have enormous yields and gold, I can roll even whole deck, and do with enemies all I could even imagine. I suppose only constant strong pressure from enemies can make it challenging, when you cannot snowball because you need to defend rather than increasing yields.
Sold! Not to be one of those guys, Potato, but if you mentioned this on twitter I didn't see it... did you vote for the fifth race in Against the Storm? And if so, which one? Not that it matters, its gonna be Foxes, but I'm curious.
0:10:43 you lost me :-) joke aside its fun to watch but im old and in total chill mode now. This is one problem i have with humankind. I would love to play alone or in a multiplayer with 3-4 civs just to chill and build nice things ... took a giant appeal away from the game. maybe im just spoiled cause i started with civ 6 cause o you
The game itself seems like it's very interesting, but the graphics are like a low effort mobile game. Granted this is not what the game is about, but man the looks are actually bad enough to be offputting
I was overwhelmed and confused from pretty early on in this video and stopped watching because I just didn't understand what was being said or done. I guess I would need to go through a lengthy tutorial first. I recognize familiar terms from my thousands of hours playing Civ games, but that isn't really helping.
Since you won before you could check, Potato, yes, the horsemen was the issue. 19:56 shows the horsemen card does say it cannot capture.
It also cannot claim territory or city, only pillage
Civ 7 early access!?!?!?!?
*!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
No, it’s “extremely unique” so all similarities to Civ are accidental 😁

Having distance from the capital reflected in maintenance costs is quite interesting.
this is how early civ's managed not having player ecomomy snowball too fast.
That and how each unit used up a shield or production from the city it was vuilt6
I just tried the demo. I haven't lost track of time playing a game like that since I played Civ 2. I can't wait to see how this develops!

Looking forward to trying this game out. This puts my two favorite styles of games into 1 package
Dude yes! 4x strat and card games!? Fx yeah!

I think you can increase the score
In the released game, you can play to 150 points which gives you time to do just about everything.

Now that it is out, I would like to see some gameplay.
Nice simplified yet not simple mechanics.
I hope this gets a mobile version as it could be a good "mobile civilization"
It's fun how Arabia makes gold in this game (trade hub) compared to civ where it begs for gold for days
Well Potato I have to say thank u for this one!! Checked it out and I absolutely love it!! I've got the game Wishlisted!
I saw this in my queue yesterday and immediately added it, can't wait for this game I'm so jealous you get to play it
You also can play it, I've requested playtest after watching this video and received approve immediatly
Let's open a kickstarter to make the physical board game version of this game , it is wonderful @potato
this might be a great multiplayer game in the future too
I love it! Potato, it was an excellent move to be a founder of this game
Wonderful game. Ever played "Through the ages"? The digital version is pretty good
Catan + Civ + Dominion = Hexarchy. Looks cool!

I agree, this game is really easy in singleplayer, I'm trying to convince friends to come play with me because I think this is best in multi
@@vanaleth Is game still working for you? It stopped working after update several days ago telling something about game is not released yet(
What’s the name of that creative fund ? Sounds interesting, can non-streamers participate ?
There's a sound effect in this game that sounds exactly like an Android alarm clock sound.
Played demo last year, easy to get into and enjoyable
Played a few single players, super fun.
Can we get more gameplay of this
Looks great! Will it be for the Mac available?

Is potato part of yoggscast?
I’ll have to rewatch when I’m more focused. This was too choppy scattered feeling to get any idea of what’s going on.
Sold!

This video had same effect on me, but after playing a game I've realized that it needs about half a hour to learn and about a day to master.

no card-based games are good. netdecking is a cancer that curses this genre.
Something can’t be “extremely unique “. Unique means one of a kind, it’s either unique or it’s not. Yes I am fun at parties.
PotatoMcWhiskey: "There is no getting along with your neighbors in this game."
Me: "Sounds like politics in the USA!"
Eww. I wouldn't knowingly involve myself with anything yogscast-related. I hope it works out for you...
