I'm 15, a straight A student, and I have no idea what I wanna be in the future. I plan on going to college. My family wants me to be a doctor but I'm totally not interested in that career. I want to be what I want to be. But I have no idea what I want to be. Who even am I lol

Everything u said is basically me... 6 months ago I was 15 too omg. I’m not sure what I want to do, but because I’m Indian my parents want me to go into the medicine field ughhh. I am think of pursuing music as of now but am not sure. Keep your options open. My mindset is: when you are in your death bed, you would regret not doing what you want to do, not what other people wanted you to do. I’m free to talk whenever if you want to!
I'm almost fifteen and I have to pick a career because I want to take early college to get an associates degree free while in High School. I would feel it as a waste to become a teacher when I could easily become other things with my straight A's. I thought I wanted to be a band director but I'm not passionate about it. I am always hearing other kids that have lower grades than me say like "I want to be a doctor" or an engineer. Meanwhile I'm here with my good grades just throwing it away being a normal teacher.

@shaniah stewart if your're that good u will get into college. Trust your instinct, study what You like and be patient. Relax, focus on doing it step by step and you're gonna be alright ( I'm not 15 ... Happy grown up so trust me).

You are so right. I've been miserable the past 4 years since I graduated high school. I've been working a factory job even though it pays well deep down inside I know I'm not happy where I'm at. I wanna go back to school and find something I like hopefully I can figure it out with these tips ! Also I've been meditating that helps keep negative thoughts away even if you do hate your job like myself lol !
Also I wasn't surprised when I saw 70% of us workers are unhappy with their jobs. It's written all over their faces !!
exactly, I think we all struggle with the ups and downs of figuring out what to do with our lives. But meditating, gratitude, and self reflection are great steps to minimizing that rollercoaster!

This was actually really F*cking helpful. As someone who has struggled a lot trying to figure this stuff out, these are not new concepts or questions to me. But taking this all as a whole and not individually...has really illuminated some things. Especially that question of What is your purpose for working besides basic needs? Combined with the other exercises, it really lifted the dense fog in my mind. Thank you for this video!!

Seeing some of the comments on here and some of them are from young minors. I just want to say that You are young !!!! You have time to figure this out. Don’t put so much pressure on you’re selfs. My advice to all young people is that you should live that life in order to know what’s for you. You have to experience different things in order to know. So as you are young use your time to volunteer within the industry’s you are interested in. Hope this helps. Just keep in mind that when you are older bills will take priority and you will want a job any job but don’t ever let that get you down because you know why you are there and it’s not your passion. You don’t alway have to work a job you are passionate about . But having a hobby is key in keeping you feeling for-filled.

I'm currently without a job in Chile, looking for anything I can do without working as what I studied. I studied for 5 years a career that I didn't like to please my parents (and also because it was what I had to do). The only great thing that I learnt from it is being rather fluent in english... but I was left with nothing else... I'll do that quiz to know if it helps me. Thank you for sharing this video.. .

I suck at everything in school. I'm not good with my hands. The only thing i'm good at, is sports and music. I can play guitar and I can play sports. Everything else, I am a huge failure. There's no education for me, I want to be able to be an electrician or something but i'm just not smart enough, and thats just a fact.

GCSE’s do nothing towards a job
I’m 12 and so many ppl are pressuring me to be you know like a pharmacist or a doctor cuz that pays rlly well and my family obviously want me to have a good life when I’m older and stuff but I won’t enjoy that kinda stuff. I’m rlly bad at science and maths and I don’t enjoy them as well. I see a lot of UA-camrs getting payed pretty well from their videos and i feel like if your successful with that you could have a pretty good future. Have money, buy a house, have a family. But this all comes from education. They say I need a goal but there is no goal that I could find that would lead me to be a ‘successful’ youtuber. Obviously if I become a youtuber I need a back up job because I won’t be successful and get money the second I make a UA-cam channel but I’m bad and nearly all my subjects and I don’t achieve higher than what my target grade is. I honestly don’t know what to do know.

if I had 10 million I would invest in the stock market fix houses sell them while having some sort of entertainment industry job whether it be producing music or becoming an artist/tour manager

If I had 10 Mil, I'd probably buy my own house and it would have a pool, and a huge backyard. I could see myself floating in my pool with an iced tea in the ☀️ and I'd own a boat and go out on the lake, and I'd also travel all over the world. If I could not fail at any career... I'd probably be a musician lol... but my voice kind of sucks. So no. No idea what I'm going to do...... 😕

I recommend music instruments. I use to want to sing but I knew that because I have a bad voice (I have to go to a speech theory every day) I just joined the band and I think it is even better then singing. This may just be may.
