SCP-6789 is the area formerly known as the city of Częstochowa, Poland.
SCP6789 is capable of generating massive vegetation, typically exceeding 20 m in height.
The ecology within SCP-6789 is inconsistent; rarely are the same organisms observed in consecutive explorations.
Flora generated by SCP-6789 has a subsidiary memetic effect that will force humans bearing a Cognitive Resistance Value (CRV) of less than 20 to lose consciousness.

Couldn't be all scp 001 stories are hypothetical scp stories not numbered confirmed scps in the universe.
I mean some SCP 001 scenarios are tied to other SCPS like the Broken God or The Scarlet King's kids so I'm just suggesting the possibility that what happened with 6789 might be a 'what-if' thing from the same soure

Nah. Fun fact about plants, fire can germinate seeds. Causing various things to occur. Ever seen flowers from the great plains? They burn down each year seasonally, and the seeds get heated up and Germenate. Causing them to be really robust.

I’m so glad you covered this! Archive 120’s one of my favorite canons, and this is one of my favorite SCPS from said canon. The idea Mother Nature reaching her breaking point when it comes to how many humans treat nature and lashing out against us by revitalizing plant and animals, but also destroying everything man made is a pretty terrifying concept. It is also a lesson on how greed and selfishness can lead to horrible consequences.
The boss should have been fired. He was messing with forces he doesn't understand. This is one of the many times where trying to fix the problem only made things worse remember the hitchhiker that kills people now.
To be fair, the SCP Foundation *mostly* deals with threats they don't understand.
The hitchhiker, scp 1606 and scp 066 could have all been calm until others tried to fix the issue

I'm really curious as to how some of the other GOIs were involved in the entire gradual process of SCP 6789's propagation. Like, groups such as the GOC and Broken Church would combat it a lot more proactively and earlier than the Foundation, whereas other groups like the Serpent's Hand having knowledge on how to deal with something like this. What about the other deities the Foundation has knowledge of? Couldn't they ask 343 or someone to help with the efforts to either stop or reach an accord with 6789? What about getting the 3 Moons Initiative involved? They are extremely fanatical in their ideal to protect Humanity, and they have the tech and power to pull a convoluted solution out of their ass that will inevitably somehow work.

I hate these stories that act like humanity in its entirety is the issue. A great deal of us actually WANT to save the environment, it's just we have no power compared to the wealthy elites contributing to the problem.
