SCP Explained has been a huge let down for a few months at least, and I thought Dr Bob was going to start following their trend of videos, but he saved it with this one. This was great. I love the origin stories for the more popular SCPs. We all know about the Shy Guy, Old Man, and the Sculpture, but these origin stories add something new.
I feel like SCP explained is where I go if I want data, like research reports. Dr. Bob is where I go if I want the drama. Something about it makes it feel more disturbing.

The SCP story and the Origin of the statue have nothing in common other than they're both concrete statue art. That being said, Katos statues are KREEPY AS FUUUUUUUUUUCK
The statue was covered with concrete and cursed red paint and probably when the concrete dried, the cursed red paint disintegrated into stupid face and eyes
I've seen other iterations of the origins of scp 173, this version however seems to be incomplete. A lot of detail was omitted from the statue that kind of made the whole aesthetic of the anomaly. Also, for a keter class scp this deadly to have a back story that's so...simple (For lack of a better n less offensive word) is kinda disappointing. I enjoyed watching it tho. Your videos always bring these scps to life when I watch them. Keep 'em coming👍🏼
