There is a shock wave in call of duty. There always has been, it's just very subtle and hard to notice. If you're playing at a high frame rate and record at a high frame rate. You can slow it down and see it yourself.
I think the reason why it was underestimated is because the producer tried to release 2042 instead of being more interested in the game. It would be great if a little more attention was paid to it, for example, Russians were added, new game modes were added, servers for 128 people were opened, innovations such as filling while aiming were added. It's my favorite game of the series and it still has a great prone mechanic that many games don't have. A game with high potential. I wish the producers could see this too.@@drinknukacola5315
True, for example if you shoot a 1845 Colt Navy, it’ll smoke more than a Glock 21, and if you shoot an GAU-8 Avenger Gatling Cannon it will smoke due to how fast the rounds are shot. EDIT: the 1845 is a black powder pistol.
BFV's sound design is where they literally peaked. I would be in a building with a teammate firing a bolt action, and the pop of his gun in the room would reverberate along the shell dropping on the wooden floor with its little bounce sounded so realistic. They manage to capture the perfect volume and effects for these to feel like you're in an indoor range without needing ear protection.
battlefield V is also just more diverse, with planes and tanks, you have to be strategic, and the game is full of little gimmicks, historical references (example: devastation is rotterdam, and the raid bomber raid that can rarely happen is based on the bombing of rotterdam, and has the cathedral in it) many of the locations are historically accurate, and the guns all look and sound good. vanguard has a few references, but not nearly as much as BFV, and is overall in between bad and mediocre.
I think it all depends on what you prefer in terms of playstyle. You are very much correct, BF V is more diverse and strategic, however, I've spent maybe 20 hours on BFV since it came out and have ground out every single gun in Vanguard to max weapon level, BF V may be more diverse but Vanguard just has more replayability to me, doesn't get boring as quickly.
Notice how the soldier looks away from his target when aiming down the sights at 3:32 also you can swim in Battlefield V and for some reason, you can swim in the previous COD game but not in Vanguard
Best explaination for ya: Back in 2013, BF4 built on BF3's swim system by including being able to shoot a pistol as well as diving. CoD capitalized on this with the release of Advanced Warfare by Sledgehammer Games in 2014, which allowed a similar system but it was more of a gimmick and the movement felt more free. In 2015, Treyarch made BO3 which boasted the advanced and crazy movement, and basically just made water a playable space. They then recycled the animations, physics, and effects across BO4(2018) and BOCW(2021). But SHG introduced direct water combat to CoD, why doesn't Vanguard have it? Well, AW was on the older CoD engine, and they have since updated to the engine that MW2019 has, which probably doesn't support water combat physics.

Another thing is that in BF5, if there’s an explosion that really hurts but doesn’t kill you, your character will cuss or react in their language (like if you’re British and this happens I’ve heard my soldier go “shit!” quite a few times lol and I’ve heard German soldiers say the same thing in German)
Except for the fact that theres plenty of documentation, training manuals from the time period, and people replicating it today that show that garand thumb isn't a thing that happens when you load a full clip. It happens when you are messing around with the rifle without a clip in it, or if you very carefully set it up. I’m sure most people have noticed but the quality of games has been rapidly decreasing and I think it started with COD: Cold War because that was the beginning of where people thought they could just start pumping out games and not putting proper quality and detail and making the next game worse than the last. Cold War came out in half of the time COD games normally take to create (2 years) which made it only half as good. If Treyarch took more time on their game it would have been possibly the best COD game to hit.
It was originally shg’s game. But due to mass disagreements during game development, Treyarch had to take over a game they had to redo from almost scratch
In bf5 with the lee enfold the way they hold it by the trigger is historically accurate. Idk how to describe it but they held it like that so the can reload faster in irl. ( look it up)
Well, actually with the M1-Garand, they both got it wrong. After he fires 3 rounds, there should only be 4 rounds in the clip (yes, it's actually called a clip in this instance...) since one round was in the chamber that would have ejected. But also, there's nothing really holding the rounds in the clip when it's not full so they wouldn't have stayed attached to it anyway...
Lmao nice lies brother Give me any footage of vanguard that doesn’t look like a PS3 game and looks better than this ua-cam.com/video/jbRig-bTMaU/v-deo.html
Soldiers in World War II would not have soft skin after even a few days of combat. Most soldiers in that war were incredibly young, yet in Vanguard, they all look like they’re 30 or 40
One thing to note is also during the iris comparison you can see that the soldier’s face in bfv is dirty which makes more sense while the soldier in vanguard has a clean face
The glass streaks aren't from cleaning, old school glass panes had imperfections in them, especially in areas that were more remote because they rarely had talented artisans
I play Battlefield Vietnam (yeah, I know. Dont judge) It does have its fair share of bugs, but overall it's a good game. The only problem I have is that on the AK style guns, weapons bolt and firing selector are on the left side, not the right. Coolest part is that sometimes, not often, if you shoot the M-16 enough, it will jam. Also, I have no mods. My Linux OS wont let put them on my computer.
10:50 interesting detail, it’s weird how they both got barrel smoke wrong, it’s not a puff of smoke, it’s more like a cigarette. One thin line of smoke, like csgo
Also the third person animations of the soldiers are exceptionally well done, base on position, are interactive with water and others stuff like being close to other's characters, or structures, having different grounds and else.
Vanguard character are just built different. They don't scared about explosive blowing them up. They're even can destroy doorknob by just throwing equipments.
I do believe shimmering exists in the campaign in el alamein. Could be wrong about that, but i am not surprised that vanguard has on average less attention to detail in the smaller things. But more on the bigger things. Like grenades rolling off uneven terrain or gun moving out of the way, it did have a awful development run and it was plagued with problems, so in not frankly surprised its lacking in a ton of aspects compared to a finished game.
I think many details are left overs from MW2019 because they use the same engine. MW2019 is surprisingly detailed and realistic so it's almost obvious they would use the engine again.

Hi👋 Why don't you want to take BF2042 or MW3? A good a number of players + support (however, in Battlefield it will no longer be content). If you, like me, are a huge fan of the World War 2, unfortunately, you have already missed the best parts of it in the Call of Duty series - WaW and WW2. In the Battlefield series, IMHO I don’t think 1942 is a good one. So, returning to the topic, as an avid fanboy of BF and COD, I’ll tell you that mechanically, gameplay-wise, graphically, stylistically, Vanguard and BF5 are the best in recent years. I would prefer BF5: the anti-cheat was recently updated, the online presence on PC is stable (more than 2042), the experience is as immersive as possible, quite a lot of equipment, maps (but no Eastern Front), cosand interaction, and so on. In Vanguard there is a more interesting gunsmith for weapons, many attachments are given for weapons, which is unrealistic, there is a lot of grind in general. There is a sticky zombie mode. There aren't too many players. In general it turns out like this. And don’t consider other World War II shooters (like Enlisted), they are all very low quality
yeah im huge fan of ww2 and i also too prefer bf5 over vanguard, i saw some mechanics and graphics between bf 5 and vanguard, bf 5 much better when ended watching he vid comparison@@dr.romanfell1933
I don't understand why people compare call of duty vanguard that has totally diffrent gameplay base, it's quick deathmatch with a fast gameplay while on the other hand battlefield 5 is based on historical accuracy and it has huge maps. It's totally diffrent.
In vanguard they removed certain features and didn’t add any new features other than destructible barriers and windows to make combat easier if you were to consider how unfair the warzone titles are with op weapons
What. Call of duty is made by various developers, some of whom are owned by activison. It’s not 5 people. 5 people could not pull off something on the level of call of duty. You need a huge developer, and a large publisher backing it. Same thing with battlefield. EA publishes it, doesn’t make it. DICE does that even though it’s owned by EA, the same can be said for infinity ward, one of the main Cod developers. It doesn’t matter how big the studio is. Look at 2042.
People hate when u shoot garnades out of the sky in bf1and 5 but thats why the shotgun was used in ww1 they mainly gave them to people that shot sporting clays or trap
both hold up well, for people that says battlefield v is way better, i cant agree anymore, the shadows in bfv doesnt have high resolution map even on ultra, some effects are ruined cuz of taa, reflection is a meh due to artifacts, lets exclude ray tracing... i see people here who say that bfv is better than cod are probably "youtube commenters" than people who actually played the game. tho im not saying battlefield v doesnt hold up this day.. its still a good game but defo not the best
I'd prefer to have them plough all the effort into better hit detection and gameplay, over most of these details that you never really notice during actual play... I'm more bothered by it taking 5 headshots to kill the guy with a sniper. I don't care how much detail his eyes have...🤦♂️
The problem with BFV wasn't the game itself. It was the time when it was released. After BF 3, BF 4 and BF 1 (ofc Hardline but be honest nobody takes this game seriously) People were hungry of another amazing game. The main problem was lack of content. Small amount of maps, shitty customization etc. Gameplay was still amazing and i loved it. Imagibe if we swapped BF V's and BF 2042's dates of release the game wold get reviews like: "after trash game BF 2042 next BF gets back what it used to be in the period of WW2. Of course if still think if in BF V we got more maps and more fronts like: all soviet fronts, Poland, Italy and more maps to every fron which has been added we would have another amazing BF.

Alongside that the garands ammo count in bfv is wrong. 8 round clip, fire 3 rounds. 4 in the clip and 1 in the chamber, when they open it and eject clip it manages to somehow put the round in the chamber back in the clip?
@@johntravoltage959 brother you can’t have 8 + 1 in the chamber with an m1 garand. Brother you might be the stupidest person I’ve seen all week. And garant thumb literally can happen, if you do it right it won’t but on a war zone, there’s a high chance of it happening.
I believe both games have great little details. though I think both franchises are in a bad spot right now, I hope as a battlefield fan both COD and BF get better again. Let’s get back into our friendly rivalry! :)
I very much agree with this opinion as a Battlefield Boy
I wish we could but it's kinda hard when btf 2042 is an absolute dumpster fire and a lot of cod fanboys, unlike you, a very respectful person, they just destroy you because of 2042 :( i want to go back in time
there might be some similiarities but the biggest difference is, I can run battlefield V but not vanguard

At 8:30 in the video we can notice the explosion will make the water land on the soldiers helmet.
I like how many people saying CoD is best of most games, but it lacks a lot of open world stuff.
In bf5 with the lee enfold the way they hold it by the trigger is historically accurate. Idk how to describe it but they held it like that so the can reload faster in irl. ( look it up)
They hold on the bolt while firing so they can easily cock it
Well, actually with the M1-Garand, they both got it wrong.
In Battlefield V the M8 Greyhound also has a shimmering effect over the engine
Thar might be the gas emitting from the engine
@@SlyCooper1920 no It's direktly above the vents under which the engine is. But it could be gas.
The devs at sledge took those military vets complaints of always keeping your weapon pointed forward seriously
most people compare things like guns stats and different vehicles in games but nah my man is out here with "boom" and "ouch"
Vanguard has better looking character models with softer skin. The only thing that is graphically better looking in bfv is the iris.
Pour les personnages je suis d accord pour se qui et du reste , que se soit graphimes , son , Battelfield 5 et au dessus
Lmao nice lies brother
Give me any footage of vanguard that doesn’t look like a PS3 game and looks better than this ua-cam.com/video/jbRig-bTMaU/v-deo.html
Soldiers in World War II would not have soft skin after even a few days of combat. Most soldiers in that war were incredibly young, yet in Vanguard, they all look like they’re 30 or 40
I don't know how having a babyface in a warzone is aesthetically better even if it's graphically superior
When you get down on the icy ground and crawl and then stand you will notice the ice on your clothes if you are only in Battlefield V.
2:11
Why is this so funny lmao
I play Battlefield Vietnam (yeah, I know. Dont judge) It does have its fair share of bugs, but overall it's a good game. The only problem I have is that on the AK style guns, weapons bolt and firing selector are on the left side, not the right. Coolest part is that sometimes, not often, if you shoot the M-16 enough, it will jam. Also, I have no mods. My
Linux OS wont let put them on my computer.
10:50 interesting detail, it’s weird how they both got barrel smoke wrong, it’s not a puff of smoke, it’s more like a cigarette. One thin line of smoke, like csgo
As far as I've seen, CoD is focused on gameplay orianted details while Battlefield is more of a Physics oriated build
11:19 "you cant hear the bullets bouncing of the wall"
*standing outside not next to a wall*
11:26
3:11 what's detail??
Explosions near or in the water cause drops of water to fall from both the soldiers' uniforms and helmets, minute 8:30 and 8:40
Also the third person animations of the soldiers are exceptionally well done, base on position, are interactive with water and others stuff like being close to other's characters, or structures, having different grounds and else.
Vanguard character are just built different. They don't scared about explosive blowing them up. They're even can destroy doorknob by just throwing equipments.
"built different" lol ok kid
Lmao good jokes
I do believe shimmering exists in the campaign in el alamein. Could be wrong about that, but i am not surprised that vanguard has on average less attention to detail in the smaller things. But more on the bigger things. Like grenades rolling off uneven terrain or gun moving out of the way, it did have a awful development run and it was plagued with problems, so in not frankly surprised its lacking in a ton of aspects compared to a finished game.
I think many details are left overs from MW2019 because they use the same engine. MW2019 is surprisingly detailed and realistic so it's almost obvious they would use the engine again.
Granades rolling down slopes is a gameplay feature not detail

2:23 BFV does the m1 bazooka better than vanguard but the bazooka has almost no recoil at all, also you can't push the projectile all the way into the rocket. Vanguard badly over exaggerates the recoil, both games forget to pull the wire before launching.
El detállate de la M1 garand de BFV está muy muy padre, se le atora el dado al cambiar el cartucho como pasaba en la vida real, por eso mucho soldados tenían el dedo machucado al usar esa arma
battlefield v is a clear example that 2042 did not have to be nearly as bad as it was/still is
I have played a ton of cod and battlefield but I just enjoy battlefield so much more with BF4 being my favorite I had so much fun and soon many memories with BF4 on the ps3
I thinl battlefield 5 is still better but when comes to the bullets and hearing them bounce off diffrent things and some of the very minor details we have to remember bf 5 came out 2 to 3 years before vanguard.
For all weapon animations IW should get credit instead of sledgehammer as they themselves had declared that Vanguard runs of MW 19 engine but modified version
That has nothing to do with the animations, sledgehammer still had to make them.
Wtf does game engine have to do with animations quality lmao?

guys by the end of school year im getting ps4 so wich game do u suggest me to buy? i like em both so its hard to decide

Awesome Gameplay 😊
I don't understand why people compare call of duty vanguard that has totally diffrent gameplay base, it's quick deathmatch with a fast gameplay while on the other hand battlefield 5 is based on historical accuracy and it has huge maps. It's totally diffrent.

“Peak feature isn’t available in battlefield” proceeds to make own door 🚪
In vanguard they removed certain features and didn’t add any new features other than destructible barriers and windows to make combat easier if you were to consider how unfair the warzone titles are with op weapons
i dont really like vangyard since im a campain player first and multiplayer secind but i can accept the work they did great video tho
This is unfair on cod, bf is made by EA a massive company but cod is made by a tiny company with 5 employees and is definitely not a huge company
what
Looks like people can't tell that this is a funny joke

why I'd there recoil on the RPGs?
Because RPGs have recoil? Isnt that obvious
both hold up well, for people that says battlefield v is way better, i cant agree anymore, the shadows in bfv doesnt have high resolution map even on ultra, some effects are ruined cuz of taa, reflection is a meh due to artifacts, lets exclude ray tracing... i see people here who say that bfv is better than cod are probably "youtube commenters" than people who actually played the game. tho im not saying battlefield v doesnt hold up this day.. its still a good game but defo not the best
