Yeah. How do they get completely white or black backgrounds, and perfect gradients? Im almost certain part of it is digital
no yes scanning, and yeah sometime the motion blur is blurred digitally
@@lilapela Its most likely a combination, murata im guessing does the most inking wise, then the rest scan and edit in inks and blurs grads etc o:

He uses a technique called hatching where by making lines close together it gives the illusion of gray
@@arbetor12 but when I try to do that it just becomes black lol. I think I need a thinner tip pen.

You should be getting gray
@@arbetor12 if you press lightly with a regular pen you'll just get a dark inconsistent line. G-pens are a whole different story tho.

Anybody know the tool he’s using? It looks like a dip pen on one end and a brush on the other.
from memory he uses the zebra G pen and zebra tama nibs (sometimes maru nib) to ink
But mostly the G pen
Then you can choose whatever nib holder you're confortable with, the one he uses is dooble sided

Compra unos estilografos yo uso esos y no son muy caros.. Antes igual usaba boligrafos y si es muy molesto, más cuando la tinta se atora o deja de salir
@@luffymonkeyd.4675 muchas gracias, no tengo mucho conocimiento de boligrafos ya que me fui por el camino del grafito, aun asi intentare probar lo que dices, quiza aprenda tecnicas muevas con eso

What kind of pen is this first ?
It's called a G-pen, a dip pen that used various nibs for different lines and you can find them on Amazon and eBay ranging from about $10-$80.
Can't tell what brand he's using here but it probably higher priced since it's dual ended and seems well made. (about $45-$75)
Although, if your looking for quality output I would recommend focusing more on the nibs and the ink your using. That tends to control line quality while the pen's body is more for grip and control.
They're kinda tricky to get good at using and to clean, I just use micron pens lol (the tiny tiped pen he used for touch up)
He also used a flowing brush pen but a normal brush should work just a well, you'll just have to dip it in ink.
