    It is great that you started making longer in-depth videos, it adds a lot to your already great short videos. It would be nice if you could revisit what you already taught in your short ones, like the many tips about planche. I wanted to save them in a playlist but unfortunately, that is not possible for short videos here at YT.

    • @CoachBachmann
      @CoachBachmann  Рік тому

      Hey. I’m actually filming a pike push up follow along workout tomorrow. I won’t release it for a little while but I promise things are in the works!
      I absolutely recommend doing calisthenics with weights! I recommend using weights to build extra strength. It’s close to impossible to isolate muscles when training calisthenics so it’s hard to take care of imbalances. Often, especially at the beginning, weights can offer a saver way of developing base strength

    Hi Coach! Two questions:
    1. How come the press to handstand feels so different from the forearm press to handstand? I can now do a tuck, stradle, and pike press to handstand as well as a tuck L-sit press to handstand. Can also do 6 reps of tuck to full handstand and 2 reps of full to seven (straight legs to 90 degrees and back) I thought all of these would translate really well to the forearm stand presses and shapes, but I can't do any presses on my forearms (it was very humbling!). I can only do one rep of lowering down to tuck and coming back up. All the presses and shapes feel so so heavy on my shoulders. Is it a matter of shoulder strength/ flexibility or could it be simply that I need to practice and build coordination
    2. Any plans to make content on presses or shapes in forearm stand?

    • @CoachBachmann
      @CoachBachmann  Місяць тому +1

      Hey,
      sounds like you are already VERY strong. This is cool! Most athletes who have your level of strength tend to have less flexible shoulders which would be your limiting point here.
      The forearms stand requires quite a bit of lat mobility. A trick for you to forearm stand press could be not to look at the floor but to tuck your chin to the chest. Do make sure you keep your scapula elevated tho as your head should not touch the floor.
      At the same time it is important to keep in mind that all of these skills are very specific and each will require specific training!
      2) yes, but not this month :)

    Hello Coach, great follow-along vid! I'm wondering: would it make sense to train the handstand hold and the press to handstand at the same time? Maybe alternating every other day?

    • @CoachBachmann
      @CoachBachmann  Рік тому

      If you have the time and recovery capabilities I’d train handstands 4-5 days a week and press every other day.
      You could do a 3 month cycle of twice a week shoulder conditioning for the press and 2-3 times a week compression strength and hamstring flexibility.
      Before than combining it for 3 month into complete press workouts where you train shoulders and compression (basically everything you need yo make it up)
      Check out the knowledge base on my website or my new press to handstand program. Both are great resources to take this further
