15-45mm: great lens for most situations

@@e.m.8094 it's a great lens that isn't too expensive. I use it for vlogging but it's quite sharp for photography too. I now have the M6II and it produces a beautiful image
For those considering the sigma 16mm don’t bother, it weighs a ton and has no is, so your not running and gunning with it for 1 second. If your on a tripod it’s great but I mean if your on a tripod I don’t know why people don’t have the foresight to not declare it as “best vlogging lens”. The kit lens the m50 comes with is a better vlogging lens than the sigma due to its image stabilisation and small weight/size. The pancake lens oddly at 22mm is not going to get you anywhere either and isn’t image stabilised. The 11-22 you could probably pull off as it is image stabilised and you could put the digital stabilisation on full at 11mm to counter the crop, but I haven’t tested out the 11-22.
The sigma 16mm is the only lens I use for UA-cam, it’s great for photography too and sigma offer a 35mm and 56mm version of this lens. I’m getting the 56mm soon

I use the sigma 17-50 f2.8 with the ef adapter and love it. My favorite all-around lens by far

Raymundo Barrientos i can’t find the same one I have anymore, but Commlite makes the same one, same style and everything, it’s the EOS M - EF mount adapter. It’s on amazon for around 50 bucks last I saw
The M50 with the Viltrox adapter (NON light/speed booster version for $55cdn on amazon) with the Canon EFS 10-22mm lens is an amazing combo. Supersharp and NOT too fishy look since with the cropped sensor it essentially turns this into a 16mm lens. Loving it, and its quite fast on the auto focus. Looking forward to checking out the speed booster version of the Viltrox adapters to see what I can do with it. With both adapters, you essentially turn one lense into two with the 1.6X conversion on the non Speedbooster version.
Just upgraded to the M50 just recently to level up our channel. Thinking about the 11-22, but that sigma is sooo clean !!!
The best option is Keep the kit lens 45-45mm,
Buy an adapter EFs to EF-M
then go for 10-18 mm EFS STM & 55-250 mm EFS STM,
Now you have almost all range of lenses .
Good plan, but still we are compromising on the F Stop with these Zoom Lens. Need Prime Lens for that

Great Video, I have the M50 with kit lens, 11 -22mm and the pancake lens. I'm not sure the Sigma is wide enough for my needs although the F1.4 is appealing but at the same time the pancake offer F2 which still gives a good shallow depth of field.

That lens has no inbuilt image stabilisation. Does the turning IS on the camera will resolve this ?

Thanks for the video. I believe most people don’t only use a lens for vlogging. They also need it for broll or talking head. Struggling with next lens for my m50

The problem with these EF-M mount lenses is that I can't use them if I upgrade to EOS R (RF mount). And the EF-M mount may not be around very long so if I ever decide to sell it year down the line, it may not even sell since it's not popular.
I like the super-wide 11mm look for vlogging when outside, walking around, etc. But when it comes to staying in one place for like interviews or filming a documentary, I like a 35 mm prime with the lowest aperture for nice bokeh.
B&H has the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 for $399 now which is the first time I have seen this discount on the Canon EF-M version.
I received the Canon M50 for an early birthday present a couple of weeks ago and this camera has been amazing. I went to a camera store last week while in Vegas and the worker recommend the Sigma 16MM lens and let me just say this lens is a beast. It took amazing photos during the day and at night. Yes, the downfall would have to be the zoom but it didn't bother me at all.
I am currently using the M50 mark 1 with the kit lens and plan on getting the mark2 within the next few months and probably the 3 lenses you mentioned. I mostly am just using it for streaming right now but plan on starting a vlog as well as dipping my toes into photography while I am at it.
When I got my M50 it came with the 15- 45mm kit lens, but I also received the 50mm f/ 1.8 and the adapter for free!

I really wonder how big is the differences on video color profiles between a6XXX series vs Canon M6 Mark ii . I really love sigma lenses but the questions is which camera offers a great cinematic look. I really heard tons of good things about Sony's S-LOG (or something like that) which can be color graded to great results.. but how about canon?? Hope you can compare them and talk about them. Also, file sizes are matters! You can compare file sizes of 4k shoots between a6xxx vs m6mk2. Thank you so much and hope to see this video. I liked!

@@Brentapotamus Nifty fifty is a 50mm lens. Those are cheap, good and fast lenses usually, and a Viltrox adapter allows the M50 to use a 50mil made for Canon EF, but retaining the "full frame" equivalent field of view (so it's not becoming a 50->80 mm on M50). Viltrox is also a speedbooster, so it increases the actual amount of light coming in, so the lens becomes even faster, even better for low-light and for blurry creamy background

I use M50 + 17-40mm L f/4 + Viltrox EosMII , actually is 18-44 f2.8, or EosM 22mm f/2
for my vlogging i use 10-18mm which is good for me and cheap ❤⚔❤⚔❤⚔❤
11-22mm is hardly ultrawide - it's an equivalent of 17,6, so it's not as ultrawide as e.g. ultrawide lens on iPhone 11 or on GoPro. Unfortunately for EOS M one needs to adapt a Tamron 10-24mm EF glass to get a bit wider field of view
Yes it is ultrawide. My Huawei Phone has ultrawide lens and it is not much wider. Ultrawide is 20 mm and below on full frame. 10 and 11 mm have little difference. Horizontally 11 mm is 91 degrees, 10 mm is 96 degrees.

hey amigo, I like your video, BUT and it is a BIG BUT, the 11-22 lense is so much more than just a vlogging lense. I think you are not in the photo business, this lense is great for at least group shoots, street photo, lanscape, family shoots, indoors.... to name a few.

I received this camera a couple of weeks ago for an early birthday present, let me just say this camera is awesome for it's price range. I purchased the Sigma lens while in Vegas for my Birthday July 1st and this lens was amazing. The low light feature was awesome and it made my images better from the standard 49MM lens that came with the camera.

I have a M50 with kit lens and a 55-200 lens that came with it I just brought a viltrox speed booster. Ans my 2 lens doesn’t fit.

I can’t find a good solution for fujifilm. The 18-55 is way too close to my face. The 16-55 is a little better but still uncomfortably close and with the xh1 it’s pretty heavy.
I think maybe the 10-24 at 14mm, maybe the rokinon 12 or the 16 2.8 for a little bit lighter weight at least.

Cool video, just what I was searching for. I just purchased a Canon M50 kit. It comes with the kit lens you covered. Is this footage 2:11 shot with the kit lens? The footage with the 11×22 mm was subtitled, so I know for sure. But the 2:11 footage is implied. Subtitles throughout the video as you switched between the 2 lenses would have been very helpful. I know nothing about camaras but I am planing on vlogging. For anyone who come across this and know about camaras. Should I get the M50 since I am a beginner user or the Sony a6400? I’ve heard the m50 is easier to use but I like that the song doesn’t over heat, has 4K, and has longer battery use. But what’s more useful for a beginner that knows nothing about camaras???

The digital IS was the first thing i turned off, its not super smooth, its terrible! when the lens is stabilised you should turn Digital IS off. It looks terrible when turned on and it distroys all your footage. Other than that, nice video liked it a lot as usual. Keep it up.
I've been using the 22mm with the Canon M50 for my past few videos, but I'm thinking of upgrading to the 11-22mm so my ugly face isn't so giant in my shots, LOL. :)

*Sigma* lenses are solid 👊 So don't worry about it not being *Canon* branded.
Also, I can't stand variable aputure lenses 👎 Just like the example you showed, it's just not practical for quick shooting, or vlogging unless you're using _full auto_ 🤷♂️
Sir... I teach by writing on the White board with enough lighting. I have Canon M50. But when I shoot with this camera, I & words written on the whiteboard don't look bright, sharp & crispy. If I want me & my words look clear & crispy with good light, then which lens should I purchase for white board teaching for best quality ? Sir plz help me....

I’m a Stand Up Comedian And I travel a lot is there a Lens that’s not going to be a bother to pack?
Also I make comedy skits and record my shows, vlog etc.... will the wide angle lens be the choice I need something that will get the job done and will not be noticeable when I’m filming.
