The Canon M50 might be the most popular cameras in the world. But once you have the M50 body, what lens should you use? I first talk about what features you should look for in a vlogging lens so you know what to look for. After all, the whole idea of getting a camera with interchangeable lenses is that you have the ability to always use the right tool for the job.
I’m going to tell you about my five favorite vlogging lenses for the Canon M50. I’m going to talk about each lens, show you some sample footage with each handheld, using a gorilla pod and I also included a framing and low light demonstration.

What's up everyone?! I hope this review of the best Canon M50 vlogging lenses was helpful. Which lens was your favorite? Are you using any lenses not mentioned on this list?
Please link to the small gimbal you were talking about as well (at 3:30?)
Thank you!! :)
Or... did I miss it?
Bridal Sewing Techniques the same ! What gimbal do you have ?
@@Sanfri_87 I don't have one yet. I have a rig on my wall that has kind of the spring-function scissor arm with a manfrotto joystick attaching to my m50 over my machine. Other shots are done mounted to a small tripod or gorilla pod. Still others are hand-held.

Thanks
Great video. Very helpful. That graphic that illustrated what the various f-stops looks like was extremely helpful. It's counterintuitive to think that the lower the number, the bigger the opening and more light is let into the lens.
As a complete noob to photography and video, I naturally think that a lower number equals smaller opening and less light.
You should include that graphic everytime you discuss f-stops. It really reinforces the lesson and idea of what f1 is versus say f5.
After all pictures are worth a thousand words.
Another great video.
Happy to say that I have the top 4 lenses.
😎😇👍
Appreciate the kind words - great job on the lenses!
And he's back at it again! Amazing video, dude. Keep it up!
Thanks again!
Truthfully the best video that explains lenses in general
Oh wow, thanks so much Brandon 🙏 glad it was helpful!
I have nothing but love and respect for you and your amazing videos. Your reviews on the m50 have led me to buy it and encouraged me to start my photography path. Thank you for being an incredible teacher!
I'm so glad to hear that I've played part of your journey! Appreciate you being part of the channel!
I bought the 16mm last week and omg it's amazing. Absolutely love it. The video quality is outstanding
Great to hear! Until people see the difference it's hard to explain
So jealous! So expensive here, over $600😩
@@alvinpalvin1440 wow that is way more pricey! I got mine for 465 after tax
Definitely is that’s why I haven’t got it yet, still deciding between the cheaper options like the 11-22mm,but it’s not as good as the 16mm I suppose 😂
Best channel for EOS M50 ♥️♥️♥️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I really appreciate it
Hi Segee (sorry if I spelled that wrong, I couldn't find it on your channel page), I just picked up the 16mm Sigma f/1.4 EF-M lens using your affiliate link. My biggest M50 complaint is trying to film in low light some of my openings and talking head segments. The kit lens just wasn't cutting it with the available aperture, but my nifty fifty needed to be too far away. This is the perfect solution for my needs. Thanks for your well done and well thought out videos!
The 11-22mm seems so much crisper than the others.
While the 16mm gives that nice bokeh.
Good information!
I hope to see more of these for the other Canon lenses and cameras.
It really helps to know which lenses work best for these cameras to help decide on which camera (and lenses) to choose.
I'm a member of the FB grouos for the M50, 90D, and EOS R.
I see the photos, lenses, settings used, etc.
It's so odd to me the focus issues on the M50 and R as compared to the 90D.
I love all 3 groups, but the 90D seems to have more helpful (and kinder) answers when others ask for help with settings, lenses, gear, etc.
I'm so glad you are doing this lens sequence, it will truly help others a bunch!
The 11-22 is using the smallest aperture so more is in focus because we're getting a deeper depth of field. As long as you have enough light and don't need separation - it's awesome! Interesting perspective on the 3 groups.
@@TechGearTalk Thanks! I am still learning all of this. And I really think your channel, your knowledge, and you are awesome! I appreciate all that you do to help new people (like myself) who are getting into photography and videography.
You explain so well. 🤗
Glad you think so! appreciate you watching and being part of the channel.
I just bought this, I unboxxed it I'm in love!
Congrats!!!
I don't even have to watch your videos before liking them because I know you never disappoint 👌
I hope you still watch them 😂🤣
The Sigma 16mm f1.4 all day. The performance in low light is really good.
I'm with you on that!
Thank you so much for this video! I have been struggling to film interiors on my channel. I use the 22mm which I love so much, but, it just wasn't wide enough for full room views. Thanks to your recommendations and clear examples I know which lens to go with. Again, thank you so much!🌺
Great video and advice.. thank you
Superb content mate thank you
Much appreciated. Thanks for being part of the channel!
How about the ttartisans 17mm 1.4?
Sir can you make a video on hidden features of Canon Eos M50. I bought M50 just a month ago & I never use a DSLR before . So sir my request to you please make a video on hidden features of M50 . Love & respect you from Paris..

@@TechGearTalk thank you 😊
👍🏻
I am seeing more and more videos and articles about the EF-M system being dead and also a bad investment since the EF-M lenses don't work on fullframe camera thus making them unusable for any kind of upgrade path. What is your opinion on those articles and videos? I would really like to hear your opinion, since I have bought the Canon M50 about 2 months ago and also bought the Sigma 16mm & 56mm. Now I feel like I am kind of in a dead end situation, if I ever want to upgrade to fullframe.
I love your vids and I do have a question.
I've watched all the examples but non seemed to match the result you have shooting this video. (framing etc)
What is different? What lens are you using to shoot your videos?
Thaaaank you!
Thank you for the kind words. The lens I'm using for the video is a Sigma 18-35 f/1.8. It's set to about 30mm. The reason why it's not the same as any of these, is that I had to put the "test" camera in front of the main camera (meaning, the camera I'm using is farther back, then the test camera, then me). Hope that makes sense.
@@TechGearTalk It makes perfect sense. Actually, I'm so excited for the answer cause...this is the exact setup I have.😁 Canon M50 + Adaptor + Sigma Art 18-35 1.8
Thank you for taking the time to answer.
Thankyou for this update❤️🙏
My pleasure 😊
Hey I am really confused which camera to buy
Canon M50 or Sony A6100 or Sony A6400
I want get into photography and liltle videography ....
I'm interested in street photography , low light photography , landscape photography and maybe even portraits ...
Pls help ???
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
thanks that was really good
Glad I could help. Thanks for being part of the channel 🙏
I am LOVING your videos, and thanks to you, my Cannon M50 and EF-M 22mm f/2 lens are winging their way to me, as I type this. Couple of questions: QUESTION 1: 99% of the time, I'm going to be shooting myself solo (ie Talking head, and or Zoom interview). If I want to use my MacBook as a monitor, is this possible, and what cable and settings should I use? QUESTION 2: What are the teleprompter options that fit on the EF-M 22mm f/2? I haven't seen any adapters. Thank you soooo much! ~kat
I was wondering if you could do lenses for the 90D in all situations aside from vlogging.
3rd party favorite lenses as well..
I've heard Sigma and Tamron, but not sure which.
I have also never used a gimble and would love to learn how to use one with the 90D as well as what is best kind for the 90D..
Thanks!
:)
Will do. I use a lot of sigma lenses. Check out this gimbal I used with the 90d ua-cam.com/video/urugXDg3hnM/v-deo.html
Also this lens video (different camera - same mount) ua-cam.com/video/UUPqjPs5Iw8/v-deo.html
We’re these shot in 1080 or 4K? Maybe I missed it. But it’s be nice to know if the additional 4k crop was on any of the video. Especially for the 11 & 16 lenses. Awesome contents! Thanks
Hi Joshua - I should have mentioned it. Everything was shot at 1080p - good call.
Tech Gear Talk thought it would be. Thanks for the verification. Hey! Easy follow up video shot in 4K, 😆! Also I took your poll on content. Another idea would be used gear & pricing for start ups/expansion. Great channel. Stay awesome.
What are your main camera and lens that you use for your youtube videos in your home studio?
Hi. I use a Canon C200 and a Sigma 18-35. Here is an office tour: ua-cam.com/video/Knqufkb35kY/v-deo.html
Tech Gear Talk thank you. When you shoot your videos at what focal lens do you normally do that. I was trying to compare it to the sigma 16mm
Hi, I am planning to start my youtube channel...I live in small room, the distance from camera to my face will be 36 to 40 feet, will shoot in room electric light, I like u r video set up, in my case how to achieve your video frame set up ? Planning to buy 200d mark 2...right decision?which lens to buy? Stabilization and low light video graphy must be good.....finally the video quality should be like yours..
Will the 16mm work on canon 80D
Hi. No, it’s an EF-M lens so it won’t fit and there is no way to way to adapt it.
I have the 35 mm lens it’s so close I guess I’ll make it work
Canon makes a 24mm 2.8. If you have the 18-55, you can set it to 24 and see what it would look like.
좋은 정리 고마워요!!
You are welcome
did you shoot the handhelds in 1080 or 4k?
Handheld 1080p
Speed booster with sigma 18-35 ????
The 18-35 is my favorite lens (it's what I use for my main shot). But for vlogging,, and with the adapter/speed booster it's so heavy and big. It would definitely work great. Maybe I need to lift more weights 😂🤣
@@TechGearTalk hi thanks for answering. I asked b and h and they said it wouldn't work because its a APS-C lens and that at 18 you wouldn't get the full image. I don't know? if you want maybe we could make a video that explains the whole speed booster APS-C lenses question?
My man evertime I see the M50, I keep thinking it was in the dryer a bit too long. I held one again a few days ago. If I am not using a selfie stick or it is on a gimbal or tripod, I just feel like this camera disappears in my hand. It is also behind the competition. If that really matters. Not to me. Just saying. The mk.2 or the next one really needs to step it up. Though R5 and R6 have woo'ed DPreview as great shooters, just be careful about 8K. Yeah, 8K. But this camera for my small handed buddies. Rejoice. Bargain if you shop carefully. M50 is mainly 50 percent the size you thought it might be. I have Gorilla Hands, and if the goodness here was RP sized I could be in. The SL2 was about as small as I could go. Optional battery grip could have helped too. This camera is many things to many people. Me too. I keep recommending this to people who love Canon but don't want a 90D or even the petite SL-3. I say get this! Some nice glass, and have fun. I won't because it is like fitting in clothes I wore as an kid. Not happening folks. But, as an excellent go anywhere street, first video rig, for the kids and maybe kids at heart with smaller hands. Rock on! A camera has to fit your hand to be pleasurable to use. Don't care how nice it is, how the glass is. To me, winners are the Nikon D7xxx, Canon xxD and Canon 5D at least mk.2 because they feel great in my hand. I have yet to find a mirrorless camera I can afford that fits my hand. My Sony a7ii I have a battery grip on that, the RX10 is barely getting it, but I love that thing so much it gets a pass. M50, go to M65, and I will buy you and adapt you to EF and EFS glass call it done. That is mainly 65 percent size. See! I am not greedy. Love your ever exceptionally well produced and rational videos. Perfection.
Appreciate you Vincent. A lot of the time I use the cage on the m50 which makes it bigger and more comfortable to hold (but adds weight of course). Thank you for always supporting the channel!
JUST ONE QUESTON PLEASE AUTO FOCAS SOMETIMES THE FOCAS IS BLUE SOMETIMES GREEN AND SOMETIMES RED LOVE THE REPORT TONIGHT STAY SAFE SEE YA
Green means you're in focus when using one-shot. Blue means you're in focus when using servo. Red means that you're too close to the camera (for that lens) and it can't focus
So glad the 22mm is the first in the list. I have my pancake lens 99% of the time locally, and is my main lens when I travel to Japan and I use the m50 as a stills camera.
Glad you liked it and thank you for sharing!
Hi can you teach me how to transfer RAW files to your android/ios phone? And also computer thanks you!!
This video arrived at the perfect time! I have the M50, kit lens, 22mm and Sigma 16mm, but I’m after a super wide angle. After seeing the 10-18mm footage, that’s what I’m going to go for! Your channel is my absolute favourite for support with my new camera. Thank you so much!
Perfect! So glad I could help!
hi how would you rate your experiences with the sigma 16mm? Especially when it comes to photography?
I have the 10-18mm. I’ve always been amazed by a wide field of view, so this lens fit the bill. Low light performance is not great but it renders nice landscape photos that my other lenses couldn’t provide. Nice work
Hi how would you rank it in comparison to the sigma 16mm? Especially when it comes to photography.
Looking forward to the eventual rumored 15mm f/2 native review.
Me too!
Thanks to your videos, I'm now the proud owner of a Canon M50!!! Question: If I want to use my M50 as a webcam, do I need to get the Elgato Cam link, or am I better off using the Cannon Web utility software? (I'm also using a new MacBook)
Cool video 👍🏼... I was waiting for you to get to the Sigma 16mm. That is literally the lens that got me into vlogging!! I love it! Im here for when you instruct me on the M50 V2 when it drops!! Im countin on you homie 👊🏼
Glad you liked it Ivan. I did include the 16 in this video: ua-cam.com/video/uORT1dfeS0M/v-deo.html Thanks for being part of the channel!
I don't even need to watch your videos before 'liking them' anymore. 😂
Another great videos 👌👌👌
Glad you like them! I appreciate it 🙏
Hey Sagi. Hope you and yours are well. That was an outstanding comparison video for all of the lens options for the M50. So many videos on youtube talk about one or two lenses in particular and do not always show the comparison footage as you have done. That video told me everything i needed to know about prime and zoom lens options and how the depth of field, framing, low light performance and vlogging options would turn out depending on the intended use. I also like the fact you were specific on dimensions and weight and flagged where gimbal use would be possible and challenging. This one video has informed me more than ten others i have watched. Thanks Sagi. Now i can see the real life differences between wider angles of view and fixed focal length primes. The other interesting facts were on the 10-18mm lens how much wider you can get over the 15-45mm kit lens. It also emphasises how good and flexible the 15-45mm kit lens actually is. Shame the EF-M 22mm f/2 does not have IS and shame the Signa 16mm prime and ND does not balance well with the M2 gimbal. For my travel and talking head videos, i think the 22mm pancake is too narrow, the Sigma 16mm is so much better on the optics yet has no IS and is heavy on a small travel gimbal. I would probably go for the 11-22mm over the 10-18mm on the basis the latter needs a converter. Not having any other EF or EF/S lenses makes this less flexible. And lastly, despite its low light limitations, the 15-45mm kit lens seems to be a great all round lens not deserving of the bad press kit lenses sometimes get. So it would be the 11-22mm for me oh and a small LED light!! Thanks again Sagi. Stay safe and healthy. Ray
Ray, I super appreciate all the feedback. Your takeaways were exactly what I was trying to communicate 🙏
Love your videos. I upgraded to the M50 (from the M3) on the strength of your reviews, and I am not disappointed. I am not a blogger- yet- but I agree, the 15-45 is a fantastic lens in good light- also, the 22m pancake is a no brainer for sheer quality and portability- I think this could be one lens I could live with forever- I also have the EF S 10-18mm from my existing slr setup- it's a great budget lens, and I have used it for many days with a third party adaptor (Meike) which works flawlessly on the M50 and is one quarter of the price of the Canon adaptor in the UK. I'm now hankering after the Sigma 16mm, and the other 2 Sigmas- oh well- better earn some money! x
Glad the videos are helpful Jon! Thanks for sharing all the info!
M50 is good in photography? Because i like to travel, take picture, editing at vsco, lightroom. Or i just buying 250d?
I prefer the M50 for photography. Here is a photo tip video: ua-cam.com/video/xUGeCVplazQ/v-deo.html and you can see a lot of sample photos in this lens video: ua-cam.com/video/2J4C_RDEg5Y/v-deo.html
yes it is great for photography. not only for the small portability size but the quality itself has great image.
M50 is great for photography for sure. I use the camera for stills rather than videos instead.
@@village_mayor thank you for review, I wanna buy for my first camera
Hey Ziggy. Hope i have the correct spelling. I am an aspiring photographer and i just want to say thanks very much for helping make the decision to finally buy the M50 Mark I. I find the content was really dynamic where it was concise for persons who aren't too accustom to the photography language and still incorporated some technical terms for those enthusiasts. I purchased my camera and received it last Thursday and i can't wait to post images on my page. I've watched all videos regarding photography probably at least twice and the knowledge I've gained is very useful. Again thanks very much!
Thanks! I have been using the 22mm the past year or so for my talking head UA-cam channel and it has been great. I am wondering if I can justify the cost of adding 16mm cost???
SORRY FINGER TROUBLE I USE MY 11-22 HAVE IT ON ALL THE TIME WITH THE KIT LENS AS WELL FANTASTIC AND RECOMMENDED BY YOU
So glad it's working - so wide right?!?!
I really love these kind of videos. I have recently bought a Canon M50 and your videos really helped me. Keep going because it is a great camera for the price sold
Glad you like them! Thanks for being part of and supporting the channel!
Unless you want to shoot true 4k then your fucked !!!
Hi From France :) I got the m50 since a couple of week and i need a wide lense because i'm gonna make realestate picture. Wich one is better for you ? The Canon EF-M 11-22mm or Canon EF-S 10-18mm ? I actually have the 15-45mm and i shoot at F16 with the iso at 100 because i make HDR with 3 pictures -2, 0 and +2 fo the exposure
Is there a ND filter you could recommend for this lense? I will be using it on my M50
Hello there, I just bought m50 mii , and im looking for to buy a wide angle lens, good for landscape photography and also want to explore taking astrophotography . Which lens should I buy ( sigma 16mm f1.4 can take Milky Way photos, and canon 16-35 f4L IS USM is suitable for canon M50 m ii. Thank you and looking forward to your reply
Exactly the video I needed to watch! Thanks for the guidance Sagi! Beautiful video as always 🙌🏻
THIRD!!! Thank you Dor for the kind words 🙏
sigma 16mm first choice then canon 22mm.. but cost and compactness it's reverse..
By the way, if we use speedbooster with m50 for 22nn lens.. what is the min aperture I'll be getting? is it 1.8 or 1.5? thanks
Hi there! For landscap photography in m50 which is better? The sigma 16mm or the canon ef-s 10-18mm? Thank you!
I love your videos! And one of the reasons why I got the m50 mark ii. I already got both the e kit and 50mm lens. But I’m so torn between the 10-18mm or the 22mm lens. I was thinking of starting off with the 10-18mm. But I am not so sure. Ugh!
Really amazing tech channel. I am so glad it keeps growing. I subscribed long time ago. I just made my UA-cam channel and dreaming od doing the same things!
Nice, the 10-18 looks the job for me and trying some automotive photography. Just need to build a mounting rig for the moving shots. Thanks wasnt aware of this lens will now
Bumping up the ISO is NOT a good idea on the m50. Beyond 3200 the image quality is pretty much worse than on my 200€ smartphone.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for being part of the channel!
Which lens will lessen the appearance of the bags under my eyes? LOL I have the kit lens on my m50 and I did not realized my bags looked that terrible. In real life not as bad but when I edit my videos it shows up 3x as bad 😣
I have 22MM lens too, but it has very little "AF-SOUND" in my footage ...is that normal?
Great video man, super informative.... my 4th time watching, i figged it was time for a comment 😂👌🏽
So glad it was helpful. Appreciate the kind words and the support. Thanks for being part of the channel 🙏🏻
I love you for this! Thanks so much. Now Ill be able to choose my camera and Lens!! You rock, have to admit, your one of my youtube hero’s. You do such a great job.
I'm so glad I've been able to help. Appreciate you being part of the channel!
So i just bought a mark ii m50 and i plan on filming alot of drag racing and car build breakdowns. what lenses would you recommend?
I love the Sigma 16mm so much!!! The shallow depth got me!
Same!
Gesh I'm now stuck between the 11-22mm lens or the Sigma-16 🤦🏾♀️
light & small or wider and better in low light .
how do you rate the EF-M 32mm Canon for Vlogging?
Everyone uses this for vlogging. Is it just poo for regular photography or something?
in the recording comparison you where shooting at 4k or 1080p?
As far as i can
tell there are not any good lenses for the m50 . Get an adapter and use ef or ef-s on the m50 none of the ef-m lenses are of good quality i mean sure they will get you by for the time being but truly are they that great ? I say no they are not having owned and used the m50 for years with many lenses ef/ef-s/ef-m i can say this !!
And lets not get started on the HUGE crop in 4k also has a major effect on your lenses :((
Lens Focal Length Conversions: Canon eos M-50 Total Crop factor in 4k 2160p
10mm=25.6
12mm=31.2
14mm=35.84
17mm=43.52
20mm=51.2
22mm=56.32
A thumbs up for the video..was looking wide lenses for the m50
So glad it was helpful. Thank you for being part of the channel!
Hello is the 11-22 mm lense going to work just fine with the zhiyun m2?
Great video!
Thanks fr your knowledge, starting to look like i can use my camera after watching your videos!
Glad I could help. Thanks for being part of the channel 🙏
OMG..I feel .like this was made for me..LOL! You recommended the 18mm - 135mm and just bought it! Now I bought the speed booster because I didn't realize u would need that..LOL! I'm super excited about this video! Happy Monday 😀🙃💚🙃😀
Hope you enjoy it!
You're Amazing! Thank you for this video, you've taught me bunches 🤗🤗
Glad I could help. I answered the other post about the adapter/speedbooster
Hey, Im considering buying an M50, If you could help me out with a couple questions I'd be grateful!
How big of a step up is the image quality of the M50 vs an Iphone 11 for photography?
Would it be worth it buying now or better to wait for the M50 mark ii?
Also, should I consider a different camera? Something like a fuji x-t200, given its more recent than the M50?
I should point out that I have no experience with cameras and I want to use it for two purposes: a) photography during travels and family stuff and printing some of the photos for albums or photobooks; b) record guitar videos.
Thank you in advance and congrats for the channel, you make very good content!
The look that you can get with a camera is different than what a phone can achieve. All of the cameras you mentioned can perform quite well for the purposes you mentioned. I just got the x-t200 so you'll see a review in a few weeks. There is no announcement about the m50 mk ii so we have no idea how long it will take.
I have the Canon EF-S 10-18mm & Canon adapter, does the Canon EF-M 11-22mm have any advantage other than weight? The biggest drawback I have is I can't use it with my Zhiyun Crane M2. I use my prime 12mm f/2 when I use the Crane M2.
It can zoom in to 22 which might be nice if you don't want to change lenses as much (not a huge different). But size/weight is a big one.
Love your videos. I currently own just the 22mm prime lens. I purchased an adapter form Commlite as I now have access to the EF-S 55-250mm and 18-55mm lenses whenever I need them. I have a question regarding the 10 - 18mm for video. Does it have the Loud auto focusing that I am experiencing from
The older EF-S glass I’ve been using? I think
My next lens is definitely going to be the 11-22mm EFM though. Amazing video 🤙
What a phenomenal video! I really do appreciate the effort it must have taken to prepare/present this video. Thank you so much :)
*how about a6400 and sigma 16mm without any gimbal like this for vlogging? Is the m50 and a6400 shake is almost same?*
Yes, it will be the same (unless you enable digital image stabilization on the M50 - at which point it will be a little more stable but will add a crop).
What ND filter are you using with the Sigma 16 mm?
Hi there! I had asked you last week what the Best ZOOM canon M50 lense is and you recommended the 18mm - 135mm lense. I bought it, not realizing it's an EF S 18mm-135mm lense, whcih doesn't fit on the M50. Sooo.. I bought the Viltrox Speed Booster M2, which I was so excited to get and I received it today...well..the lense doesn't fit on that adapter either!! I've spent over $300 and still don't have a ZOOM lense that works? Please advise on how I can get this to work on my M50. I had no idea it would be this complicated!!
Hi. I think mistyped. I was talking about the 18-150 which is an ef-m lens. The 18-135 you got is a really good lens, but like you said it's an EF-S (aps-c) lens so if you want to use that one with the M50 you just need a regular EF/EF-S to EF-M adapter. The speedbooster only works with EF (full frame) lenses.
So here are your choices:
1. Canon 18-150mm ef-m (no adapter, small, light)
2. Canon 18-135 ef-s (plus an adapter, larger, heavier)
Questions:
a. how did you get the EF-S 18-135 + speed booster for $300?
b. did you get the 18-135 STM (better for video) or USM (better for photos)
Wow..Thank you so much for going into.depth!
I bought the EFS 18-135 OFF OF Ebay for for $125!! I won a bid and jumped on it..LOL
I bought the Viltrox adapter for $153, I believe.
I need a good zoom lense mainly for video. My boys play football and want to be able.to vlog and record them playing ball 😀😀
I also have my ASMR Channel which I just bought the 50mm lense for, so I'm Excited for that to come in! My husband isn't very happy with me and all my purchases lately, but Hey...we Only Live Once!!! 😆 🤣
I'm literally teaching myself everything..I mean everything!! Lol. I LOVE IT 😍😍 Wish I had faster results but I'm getting there. Is the 18-150.better for videography than the 18-135?
How do I make my kit lens not look grainy?
Recently came across ur channel, loved all ur contents😍 & subscribed ur channel as well 🙌, keep rocking!!!
Thank you so much 🙂
I’m a smaller youtuber and have been researching videos for canon m50 vlogging camera lenses and I must say yours is the most educational, thank you for the detail. I currently own an m50 and have 2 lenses- 50mm and the 18-55mm lens. I use the later slot for sit down videos and the 50mm is nee and not being used (I might actually sell it). I came to your channel to understand which is best light weight Lenise to get for vlogging because I was considering buying a nee vlogging camera whilst still getting used to my canon. I’m now torn btw the 11-22mm and 20mm. The sigma looks nice but too heavy and the 20mm dosent zoom and the 11-22mm isn’t the cheapest. So I guess I’ll sleep on it or at least sell my 50mm so I can get a vlogging specific lens. I use my go pro4 for vlogging but the audio is terrible but I’ve never tried using an external mic for it either.
Tell me, what doing another my Huawei Mate 20 pro and your M50, with video??? Better you tell the People its a nice Camera for nice Photos!!!
Not sure what you mean

Hi sigi....what lens are you using to shoot this video
thanks for all the information. i'm a user Eos m50 and want to have wide lens for my vlogging to waterfalls. this is really helping me for choosing the lenses i need it
I think sony wins in wide angle lens bcz it's 1.5 times crop in 16 mm sigma and 1.6 in canon .and also 11-22 is 18 mm but sony 10-18 lens is exactly 15 mm
Sony does give you a slightly wider angle of view.
whats the best lens for a podcast?
BEST BRAND FOR LENSES aside from canon for M50.
Sigma
This was awesome really thinking about vlogging this helps out a lot thanks
Glad it was helpful!
My experience m6 mark ii viltrox speedbooster EFs Lens 10-22mm F2.5 the best u can go with blure background, and super wide, (same will work for m50 guys)
Still works with zhiyun m2 as well
Nice!
I am planning to do videos related to street foods. Capturing the way vendors preparing their food. So I am afraid the sigma 16mm which do not have a zooming function might not be so ideal for me. Out of all these lenses that you had recommended, which is the most ideal lens for my case??
Now I have the Canon M50 M2 with the 15-45mm lens. Do you have a lens to recommend as the next one to have for picture and video ?
