- I've been playing around with different plugins to put in my mastering FX chain lately. The latest addition was Arturia's Tape Mello-Fi which is free until the end of 2021, and I'm really liking it so far! The plugin chain now consists of MJUC jr (free compressor by Klanghelm), Tape Mello-Fi, Maximus, and a Fruity Limiter.
This jam was the result of playing around with the tape plugin and trying to find a workaround for a bug where double-stopping on the Digitakt only normal-stopped the Digitone, instead of cutting the audio on both.

Hehe, thanks! It's a double edged sword: I HAVE to work fast, or the track dies and I abandon it. It's the reason I almost never use more than 2 devices at the same time, and why I haven't done any big projects in a DAW in years

Yeah, it still happens. I haven't pinpointed it 100% yet, but I managed to fix it. I think you have to send a midi note from the DT to DN, and that'll solve the problem. I got it working by accident because I set midi track H to send CC on channel 16 to control some plugins in FL Studio. When reloading pattern, you have to play a note on channel 16 to send all the new CC values to FL Studio. After I did this, double-stop suddenly worked again.

Killer as usual! I was wondering if you've ever used any online platform to sell your music, like Airbit, Beatstar and similar. I've been considering something like that for a while, but I was curious to know if someone as prolific as you ever had any experiences with them.
Thank you! I use bandcamp and distrokid to sell my music, but also use patreon where I upload my wav files. I haven't considered licensing out my music for use though.

how you make this sidechain effect
I make the drums a lot louder than everything else, then I use the Digitakt's compressor to push the drums into the rest of the sounds. The lower volume stuff will be brought up in volume, but every time the drums hit the compressor will push them (and the lower volume stuff) down, making that ducking effect.

Sadly it isn't. I'm using FL Studio to record and to run the plugins
All his stuff is straight out the box with some processing in the computer. His video descriptions are very detailed
