      Thank you! I'm using the Digitone as my audio interface in Overbridge mode, but I'm not using the Overbridge plugin. I do this on all my tracks, and 99% of the time I just record a stereo track into FL Studio and apply some saturation, eq and compression in post. On this track I separated the drums track out from the main outs so I can sidechain the main outs to the drums in FL Studio. It's something I've started experimenting with lately, but it adds more steps that slows down my workflow so I'm trying to find a way to simplify the process.

    I'm almost at the end of my 2nd playthrough and I've only put out like 2 songs since it came out, so I feel that 😎
    The sounds you make with the DN are just next level, this sounds like a fat analog and it's incredible.
    Syntakt is for sure awesome (and I have one coming) but it can't replace a DN.. Monophonic plus not nearly as powerful of a synth tone tweaking engine, but very powerful in other ways. Personally it's replacing my Digitakt, but that's because I don't like working with samples very much, so it'll be my new drum machine.
    Anyways love the track, grats on leaving the lands between long enough to do it 😉

      Ohh, nice! I'm about 80 hours in and level 105, still haven't revealed the whole map yet. I've released two tracks since then, myself :D
      Thank you! The DN can do some really nice virtual analog type sounds when you stumble into the sweet spots. I've never used the Cycles or Rytm so I don't have any experience with the machines paradigm, so I have no idea how limited the sound design options are when you have 35 8-knob sound engines. It seems like a really nice and complete groovebox though, I'm definitely interested in trying it out. The Digitakt formfactor is my favorite too :D

    • @hexwavemusic
      @hexwavemusic 2 роки тому +1

      @@IvarTryti Took me around 130 hours to beat, so you might still be awhile 😂
      I was a big fan of the Cycles already (had one but sold it cause it was a bit limited for my purposes) so to me it feels like a big daddy upgrade to that and I couldn't be happier. The analog side is very nice as well tho, especially that filter and being able to put everything through it on the FX chain. I've made some crazy sounds in the couple hours I got to touch it and I'm very excited for it!
      That said, lots of people think it isn't as versatile, which I don't think is true personally but you sometimes have to be a bit creative to make sounds that don't sound like basic ones, but the "happy accident" pool is large. If they add a couple new features it'll be perfect (compressor and performance FX keys modifying sequenced trigs mode are the biggest two for me)
      Anyways, no idea if it would be right for you to be honest as it's a bit polarizing, but I sure do love it 👍

    • @IvarTryti
      @IvarTryti  2 роки тому +1

      @@hexwavemusic Damn, that's a long time! Glad the game is far from over.
      Having a bunch of smaller sound generators instead of one "normal" synth seems fun, though. With the Digitone I can make new sounds forever, but because of that I never make a sound from scratch while working on a track. I imagine the machines is like picking a "preset" with macros already set up, so it's easier to actually make sounds from scratch without endless tweaking.

    • @hexwavemusic
      @hexwavemusic 2 роки тому +1

      @@IvarTryti That is definitely what it's like! Plus, the fact that you can lock different machines to different trigs helps with versatility a lot. I really love it for the reasons you described basically, and I think it's going to be paired with my DN for a very long time. Plus the clap machine (which is amazing btw) can turn into a chainsaw/helicopter if you change the envelope to asdr, so why would you need anything else?

    All these comments on the track blah blah... what's your Elden ring build, favorite weapon, and favorite Spirit Ashes? 😂

      Haha =D I went for strength and holy build with the first greatsword I found, but Mohg messed me up so hard I respecced to int and chipped him down with that sword phalanx weapon art. I want to try other weapons but I'm so invested in that greatsword now. For the longest time I used the demi human spirit ash (the one with 5 screaming monkey men), but recently switched to a banished knight with two swords. And you? 😁

      @@IvarTryti I went Dex + Int and fling gravity stones like they're going out of business : ) Bloodhound's Fang is a killer sword you can get not too difficult. That new banished knight Spirit Ash you have is a tank, definitely upgrade and use him to take aggro and damage while you attack bosses. I'm in the capital Leyndell now getting wrecked every few minutes. Lots of fun 😅

    awesome track mate :) I'm thinking of getting Elden Ring as well . What platform do you play on?. PS5? PC?

      I'm on PS4. Would've bought it on PC, but my laptop is geared towards music making so there's no proper graphics card in it

    Hi Ivar, i have a question i have a project which i like to use for jams, but my issue is that i cant mute the tracks anymore, i checked the func+bank modes but that doesnt change anything and also i cant use the keys on a track, so the only thing i can do is play the patterns. Any idea what i messed up here?
