Looking at the Wario and Mario series side by side is insane. While Mario's games have a family friendly approach to their style, Wario goes all in on surrealism. Enemy and level design, soundtrack, it's actually hard to believe these two coexist within the same land.
This game is truly amazing on every aspect

Thanks for being the ONLY good quality playthrough of this game (so far). I gotta say, for a Game Boy Advance game the audio sounds pretty... well, advanced.

I find it amusing how, now having more advanced sound hardware, they went all in on having voice effects for everything, even when completely unneeded.

The creepiest part is the hurry up part. The music makes you feel like you are trapped in a colon transplant and need to escape.

This game was so cool. I loved the music in it, especially the Toy Block Tower music, which I still cherish to this very day. Sadly, I rage quit after failing to beat Aerodent countless times.
Good ol Gameboy advanced. This makes me wanna play the Minish cap now.

Ever since the day Mario retired from heroics, and Wario stepped in, there has been more big strong bodies in the Mushroom World popping up. Of these people are: Anto🎉n, Peppino Spaghetti, Avario, Enaldo Perrieria etc.

How did I miss this drugged up fever trip of a game as a child? The nervous frantic energy of everything being on a time limit plus the shaky visuals, the neon strobes, and the trippy sound design almost make me think of it as Hotline Miami as a platformer. Not something I'd ever thought I'd be saying about a Nintendo title. Forgotten gem

I played this game to 100% completion back when the GBA was relevant. it was and is my favorite game of all time. i wish they'd rerelease it on something new so I could play it. otherwise, I got an old gameboy and one of the original cartridges on amazon, but my gameboy doesn't have a backlight so it doesn't look that great, especially when you're used to playing the switch oled! it would be a dream come true to see this released on the switch.

There are two models of the sp the ags 101 has a better back light the one before that has a back light but it’s not good still

Would a "true" longplay include both normal and hard runs as well as super-hard? I'm sure they could all reasonably be separate runs, really. A combined run could primarily be a normal run with a focus on the changes in hard and super-hard. I never had the guts to finish even a hard mode playthrough as a kid. Tempting to find some way to give it a shot.
