Making Cow Feed Using Autoration!

Todays video is part two of our feeding system. This video is making the feed as well as feeding it to the cows. The feed comes from the silos and from the barn and mixes all up in the mixer according to how many cows we have. The feed mixes up with all the ingredients and the conveyers take it right to the cows door step for them to eat. Stay tuned for todays video to see it in action, hope you enjoy!

This is the best way to feed the milk cows. No tractor is needed. You don't have to open the door to run the tractor back and forth. Very good setup. The unload is that run on a power rail . Very cool Thanks

Yes it sure is, the unload is a bunch of chain links connected to the paddles which is drove by two sprockets run by the motor. Thanks for Watching!

Hi Clayton. Finally much anticipated video of your automated stuff. This feeding system beds as well? Holly cow (pun intended) I'm compelled to watch to see how the small guy can compete. I love the content. Suggestion box: bedding, manure handling, milk quality, genetics and other other significant factors on your business. Nothing more relaxing than watching Holsteins eat... So what happens when a conveyor goes down and u can't get a part for a day or two on something then how do u feed????.... conveyors r nice as long as they work when they go down it's bad news plus conveyors are alot of work compared to a skid loader and a mixer wagon....

That’s right, they are nice until they break down. We keep lots of spare parts for them such as motors and chain if it breaks, usually we either have a spare part for it or we can get one within the day. If not we just have to rig something up to make it work. Thanks for watching!
