If you had a vacuum leak it would be more noticable at idle with high manifold vacuum compared to reving the engine which would make the leak effects less noticable.
hey mate my astra vxr has been having an issue with rich running at idle and at cruise it will be showing -25 on the fuel trim and 0.9 on the front o2 sensor then under acceleration and wide open throttle it would show 0 on the fuel trim o2 sensor i can't get a reading off of it due to the obd2 reader i am using i am using a phone based one no idea what it is it shows a p0170 fuel trim bank 1 malfunction code and the engine light comes on after about 1 hour of driving
@@Ryan-J i was going to fix it as i found out what the issue was but unfortunitly had a accident on the way home and lost the car but my issue was related to the fuel injectors someone had put way to big injectors in it and it was drowning the cylinder in fuel check the injectors when it is running and see if they turn off or miss on the injectors as that is what i think was happening to mine as the ecu was trying to correct it ended up shutting off the injectors as it did so mimicking a missfire. other things i checked where all intake gaskets , any vacuum leaks, compression , plugs and coils, wiring harness for the infamous grounds in it aaron unknown has a video explaining it i also changed the exhaust manifold due to a crack in said exhaust manifold on the inside of the snail again look at aaron unknown's channel for info on that.
@@996stoky thankyou for your detailed reply i was thinking injectors or bad o2 sensor thanks again will have alook at it and get back to you i have noticed my o2 sensor dodnt fluctuate voltate properly o2s1 stays at around 0.94v and o2s2 is around 0.5v with little fluctuations is that a bad o2 sorry for my lack of knowledge do t know to much about cars
@@Ryan-J interesting mine was the opposite o2s1 yould fluctuate as it ahould and o2s2 stayed at 0.8v see what happens another thing on the injectors actually take them out and get them checked on a injector tester and calculate the actual flow of said injectors.
I have the same code on my astra g 1.6 cabrio. i changed MAF recently but the problem persists. check engine light will be open some days but close some others. Some days the car drives ok but some others feels weird and week and 1st and 2nd gear trembles. I had the ECU checked but they tell me is fine.. Any advise?
Great job. Pretty common on these cars. Watch out for that performance air filter sometimes they can damage maf due to oil coating.👍🏻

Great job
Cheers Nuffz can u recommend any good non GM mafs? Cheers sandy
@@sandyande usually as long as it meets oem they are ok I'm pretty sure Bosh do these sensors
Good job, I think I'd bin that filter and put it back to original once the new maf is fitted. ☺
No, it is a Saab 9.3 1.8i.
good job boys
Cheers Ian
Thanks for the video mate I have some code on my Astra 1.8. Can this cause the car to use more fuel thanks
Yes absolutely!
Hi Sandy...the LOAD PCT PID is erratic as I believe it uses the MAF figure in its calculation. But ye likely know that! Cheers Sandy
Cheers Ian I only realised that when editing the video! Cheers sandy
Cual era el problema del coche que no me enteré?
So did a new MAF fix it???
