I believe...the power to adapt and change is within every single one of us. It is stiffled mainly by our own minds. I changed my life from living with an alcoholic husband to obtaining 3 college degrees & purchasing my own home. And I did it just like you said..."have a plan". I took a sheet of notebook paper out the morning after a very rough night with the alcoholic...and I wrote out...my plan....what it was I wanted & needed to do with my life...to finally have peace and freedom. And it took years of determination and sweat and tears. But 4 years....after that morning at the kitchen table with that piece of notebook paper....I had arrived at my goal.
I don't dwell...with sadness or anger..on those rough years with the ex husband...actually I am thankful for them....bc ...those years happened to prepare me for the rest of my life.. I am such a strong person now. I smile constantly and my life is really really good. And I still have that paper❤...with each goal having a line through it as I achieved it😊
    Excellent video Sandra!!

What a wonderful story of survival and determination. You are proof that all things are possible if you act upon them. Just sitting and feeling sorry for yourself solves nothing. I can’t tell you or express enough how I am so happy that you shared your story with us today. I know it will help others in this community who may be suffering or in a place in their life where they think they are stuck. Thank you ever so much again❤️

@@lifewithsandrahart I tell you Sandra, my 27 yr old son just said to me last week..."Mom if your story isn't a story of preservation, perseverance and determination for a woman to come out of a bad spot and redevelop herself, I don't know what is. You should really write a book".
I was caught off guard by his statement but very flattered at the same time. He was a just boy, but he watched me change our lives.
Any ladies or gentlemen out there that feel trapped in a situation.....believe me....you can only change yourself. You can not change anyone else....ever. Sandra's guide here is exactly what I did....and it changed the whole trajectory of my life.

Hello Sandra. I have just found your truly awe inspiring wonderful videos. It must be fate, as you wisely said everything happens for a reason and I really needed to hear what you have to say in this video. I lost my dear husband in April and now I am just about to move to a small retirement flat. I don’t have any doubts at all that I am doing the right thing. I know I will survive. You are truly inspirational and if I may say so you radiate beauty from within your lovely self as well as from your soul. I hope you know how many women you inspire and encourage to make a better life. Thank you so much. I am sending you and all your followers kindest wishes for 2021 from a lovely little corner of England. Jenny x

Hello beautiful. I am just listening to this. 4/5/2022. Thank you so much for walking in your purpose. This post is so relevant in my life. My baby girl passed away 2014. It has been a nightmare. But I have learned to live with it. I thought I lost my purpose in life. I have learned to stop asking for my previous life. It will never be the same. My life has been altered forever. I cherish the memories I have and ask God to give me strength to make new ones. I have promised myself that I will not give up. I will live because my baby girl Genessa will not have it any other way. I’m saying all of this because this year 2022 has been a transition and your message hit my heart. Confirmation. Thank you.

Mrs Sandra, you're the fairy in fairytales that comes to spread light and wisdom. I want to thank you for all that you do, I truly feel you spoke to me directly. All the points you mentioned are so spot on, especially the part where people discourage us from doing something big and how we let our fears hold us back. I hope in your upcoming episodes you share with us about how to be who we fully are, as sometimes we conform to others or get sucked in lifs and forget ourselves and don't know how to get back to who we are. Again thank you for your talk 💐 I wish you many blessings 💐💐

AND this is/could be incredibly beneficial to even a younger generation, 30-40's, a guide/a light to what aging can look like. AND for those in the 50 age range - a great message - Don't give up!

Sandra, I can’t imagine the pain and setbacks you’ve lived through, and the strength you’ve had to overcome them.
I’m not brave enough just yet. If I had projected what I wanted to do in five months last May it never would have occurred to me that I’d lose my healthy husband to COVID. I appreciate your words of wisdom. At 70 it’s difficult to envision going forward. You’re so sure it’s possible, then maybe it is.

    • @lifewithsandrahart
      @lifewithsandrahart  3 роки тому +2

Jacqui, I am so sorry to hear that you lost your husband because of Covid. That was the greatest fear that we all were facing. I also lost my cousin who was much younger than I am to Covid. Right now you’re in the grieving process and it will come in stages. It’s only normal. Now you feel it’s difficult to move forward. You can and will do it, but it will take emotional baby steps and time for you to heal and move on. But you will. That is the natural process of grieving a great loss. This is another chapter for you. It will be different, but can also build on who you are and will become as you get stronger. I will be thinking of you.❤️

My first husband passed when I was 43. I found a griefshare group that offered an incredible program where I learned many tools to move forward after a terrible loss. It helped me learn the process of what my new identity was as a single widow instead of a wife. The worst thing I could imagine happening in my life, happened. It was very difficult, but as I look back through those years, I am thankful for the process that made me a better and stronger person. I’m more sensitive, kinder and it put what matters in life into perspective for me. This video made me think back on that. And I can do that without tears now. Thank you Sandra.❤️🙏🏻

Similarly, just sitting and hoping for good things to happen will result in nothing without a goal and a plan to achieve it. Thank you for your uplifting message. You are wonderful!

I am so happy to recently found your channel in just the last couple days ! You opened this video with one of my favorite poems and I was delighted to be able to recite it with you and shocked I could still remember the words from when I memorized it many years ago !
This is such an important video because most of us as our kids grow up , realize we don’t really know who we are anymore ,don’t know what our dreams are anymore ,and need to figure out basically how to ,as you put it , reset our lives . Even when the big things in your life have not really changed, we often change inside and don’t know who we are or what to do once our roles as a full-time mom are over.
For me, after seeing my husband go through two back surgeries in a row and then go back to work. I know our future plans are going to have to change. He’s not gonna be able to work till he’s 70 as planned. At 60 years old this year it’ll probably be in the next 2 to 5 years he’ll have to retire and we need to figure out the new game plan and figure out how we’re going to change what we thought we were going to do. So we both really need to reset not only individually but together.
I really needed to see this tonight I’m enjoying this video so much and I see so many of your other videos listed that I cannot wait to watch! 😁

Thank you so very much for your wonderful comment. Sometimes life throws us things that we are not expecting and we do have to reset.. Retiring early will change your plans, but it really could be a blessing in disguise. We never know what the future has in store for us. Finances considered, you may treasure those early retirement years. ❤️

It has been some months since I have watched your videos but how refreshing to return and be blessed by your unique ability to spread kindness and encouragement.
Your greatest strength is that clearly this is not about you...your ego....the amount of subscribers you have etc. Your motivation is however selfless and that gives you the authenticity often lacking on social media platforms. I have to say reading the comments here it is clear you have many wise and wonderful subscribers also.

Thank you Sandra for sharing your positive thoughts with us. Last month I turned 80, but I didn't care about that number, because I always have been a very positive person, and lived by the saying 'you are as old as what you feel. But than I got sick and for the first time I was wondering about my age and everything what you heard about beeing old. I really have to try very hard to find my old positive self again. Friends in our age group seem to disappear and the rest who are left talking about their illnesses. I don't want to talk about that and if it's necessary than to my doctor. I glad that I am not alone, thank God that I have my husband of 54 years, and Sandra I have found you, an online friend. Thank you very much. Can't wait to hearing from you again. Stay safe, God bless you!!!

Ursula, I am so happy that you are feeling better. We are what we think. If we feel young then we are young. If we know that we have a good resistance to illness then we will do you healthier. Our mind is so strong, more than we realize. We can get sick it’s true, but if we feel positive and dwell on wellness we will get through it. Please stay positive and think wellness thoughts. I find the people who always talks about their aches and pains never get out of that cycle of being miserable and feeling old. Please keep thinking young, because you still are❤️

Though we've been in Goergia (Europe), longer than we planned, it has enabled us to get a lot done on our apartment renovation. I feel like we have a lot to be grateful for .
