    The Cadillac that I have, when I pull the radio out there are two hardwired liens going into it and I think that goes to the rear entertainment center. The only way I see you taking this out is cutting the wires And also replacing your rear entertainment center with a standalone entertainment center

    im trying to install the exact same kit in my 2006 gmc sierra 2500 with bose. im using a pioneer avh-2330. there is no input on the back for the steering wheel controls. if its not an autodetect unit, any idea where to connect the brown wire from the female end of the 3.5mm jack? i dont get any sound from the speakers, only a faint hint of music out of the driver door speaker when the door is open and a loud chime with a "thud" at the same time. thanks

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  7 років тому +2

      Sounds like a few issues. The Pioneer has a W/R input on the back of the radio, that is the steering wheel control input where the 3.5mm cable connects. Don't use the Female 3.5mm adapter, they do not work for pioneer. In terms of sound, it sounds like your bose amp isn't booting on, make sure you connect the blue or blue white wire in the wiring harness adapter to your radio's blue / white wire. This triggers the amp to turn on properly.

      Depends on the make and model of the radio. For this boss radio, just grounding the parking brake wire does the trick, but for pioneers, they require a double pulse ground relay. For Alpines, they are a bit more tricky because they also require the foot pedal, parking brake to be wired correctly for a successful bypass.
